1. 认识 Confucius 和 Mencius；观看王涵停笔犹豫的片段，能找出课文 The first lesson 中发生的事情。（学习理解）
2. 选出主旨 c；完成摘要填空（wrote / right / Questions / meaning / put up / think more）；借助思维导图复述故事线和心情线。（应用实践）
3. 说出标题 The first lesson 的两层含义；用自己的话解释学而不思则罔，并分享一条关于学习的名言。（迁移创新）

教学内容

教学重点：
1. 读懂故事：王涵发现黑板上的句子来自 Confucius，不是 Mencius，犹豫后举手指出。
2. 抓住主旨 Students need to think more in learning；完成摘要六词 wrote / right / Questions / meaning / put up / think more。

教学难点：
1. 理解 Ms Chen 并非真的写错，而是要学生 think more。
2. 说出标题 The first lesson 的双关：第一节英语课 / 初中第一课（学会思考）。

学情与设计说明

七年级学生刚结束小学，对“老师会不会写错、学生该不该当场指出”既好奇又紧张。本课不从抽象的“要思考”讲起，而用读前 Confucius / Mencius 两幅画像建立文化锚点，再用王涵停笔犹豫的动画把学生放进课堂现场。全课主线：Watch → Read → Think → Share。教师按课件翻页即可，问黑答红，学生先说再揭。拼写用 Confucius；教材人物为 Wang Han、Ms Chen。

教学准备

3. 黑板预留：Confucius / Mencius；Story | Feelings；Think more。

Mencius；带着问题观看王涵停笔的视频；找出课文中的三件关键事实。

教师：Today we read The first lesson. Watch, read, think and share.
出示第 3 页 Learning objectives（本课目标，勿与文档标题“教学设计”混淆）：认识两位思想家；看懂王涵为何停笔；能选主旨、填摘要、说标题两层意思。

【任务二　Before reading：Confucius】约 4 分钟　课件第 4 页
出示画像：Who is he? 学生先猜。单击红字：He is Confucius.（孔子）
支架：Confucius is a great thinker in history. He is famous around the world. He said:
Learning without thinking is of no use. / 学而不思则罔。
齐读英文原句，板书 Confucius。

【任务三　Before reading：Mencius】约 4 分钟　课件第 5 页
Who is he? 单击：He is Mencius.（孟子）He was another great thinker after Confucius.
课件补充：The story “Mencius's mother makes three moves”（孟母三迁）tells us that the environment is very important to children's growth.
教师点一句即可，不展开长文：Today we need both names, because someone in the story mixes them up.

【任务四　Watch and talk】约 6 分钟　课件第 6–7 页
第 6 页先出两问（不揭答案）：
1 What's the boy's problem?
2 What will you do if you face the same problem?
播放视频（王涵写下第一个词后停住，问号悬在头顶；结尾停在 Is that polite, in the first lesson?）。要求：合上课本，看完再发言。
第 7 页学生先说，再单击红字。
预设 1：He finds a mistake, but he is not sure if it is OK to point it out in the first lesson. He feels it may not be polite.
预设 2：I will think first. Then I will put up my hand and tell the teacher politely.

Mencius，并说出学而不思则罔的英文原句。看完视频能用英语说出“发现错误但犹豫是否礼貌”。能给出一条有礼貌的应对办法。

设计意图：
先立孔子原句，再引入孟子，为学生在课文中分辨“这句话是孔子说的，不是孟子说的”做铺垫。犹豫视频把读前问题变成真实处境，学生带着情感进入课文，而不是先扫生词表。

选出主旨；完成摘要六空；用思维导图对照 Story / Feelings 复述。

【任务五　Read and find】约 6 分钟　课件第 8 页 + 教材课文
打开课本默读 / 跟读 The first lesson。三问先出，学生到文中找，再单击红字：
1 What is the boy's first lesson?
 

三问至少对 2 题。四图能按 写→停笔→举手→表扬 说一句。主旨选 c，并能用一句话说清不是老师真写错。摘要六空第一次听读后至少对 4 空。能借
