(本题10分)Joe Evermore is a father of four children, and rock climbing has become a shared hobby for the whole family. His two sons have successfully set impressive new climbing records on El Capitan in Yosemite National Park, California.
In 2022, Joe’s eldest son Sam rose to fame after climbing El Capitan at the age of eight. Three years later, the 11-year-old boy even conquered the world-famous Matterhorn. Greatly inspired by his elder brother’s achievements, Owen took part in long-term daily climbing training under Joe’s careful guidance. Joe always believes that great goals come from continuous daily practice, and safety must be placed first in all training activities to avoid accidents.
In May 2026, six-year-old Owen began his five-day tough climb on Sunday. He turned seven on the fourth day while climbing the steep rock face, and finally reached the peak safely together with his family members and a professional documentary team. “It is the most meaningful birthday that I have ever had. What a day!” said Owen in the documentary.
However, this record-breaking climb has caused widespread doubts among professional climbers. The whole team used a special climbing skill called “jugging”. With professional guides moving ahead of the young participants, steady ropes are fixed onto the rock walls in advance, which enables young climbers to advance upward with the help of handheld tools instead of clinging directly to the bare rock surfaces. Even faced with so many arguments, the family’s deep passion for climbing and determination to keep challenging themselves never fade away.
The Evermore family launched a personal website and displayed their shot educational films. They recorded their children’s climbing adventures, aiming to encourage more families to overcome hardships and realize dreams through joint efforts. As their story spreads online, Joe shares practical parenting advice. Given the extreme difficulty and risk of climbing El Capitan, he suggests parents choose easy family activities to strengthen family bonds and cultivate children’s courage.
24.(2.5分)Which of the following statements is TRUE according to the passage?
A.Owen celebrated his 7th birthday on Tuesday.
B.Joe thinks security is the core to achieve big goals.
C.Owen was inspired by Sam’s climbing achievements.
D.Sam and Owen finished climbing El Capitan at the same age.
25.(2.5分)What can we learn about the “jugging” technique?
A.Guides fix firm ropes prior to children’s climbing.
B.Local climbers fully recognize this climbing way.
C.Climbers carry and set up all ropes themselves.
D.Professional climbers cling directly to bare rock surfaces.
26.(2.5分)Why did the Evermore family build a website?
A.To offer useful suggestions on family education.
B.To overcome hardships to shoot adventure films.
C.To record kids’ experiences and inspire other families.
D.To fulfill dreams by joining professional climbing teams.
27.(2.5分)Which words can best describe Joe?
A.Optimistic and humble.
B.Creative and considerate.
C.Sympathetic and conservative.
D.Cautious and warm-hearted.
(本题10分)Nearly everyone in the world has heard of the Olympic Games, and many people are familiar with the Paralympic Games, but very few know about the equally important Transplant Games. Held every year, these games celebrate the courage of transplant recipients (接受者) and the selflessness of donors’ families.
According to a news release from the Sheffield City Council, the games — which the city will host in the summer of 2026 — are the main event for the Transplant Active charity, which aims to raise awareness of organ (器官) donation and inspire recipients to stay healthy and active.
A blog on Westfield Health’s website explains that over 7,000 people in Britain are waiting for organ transplants now. On average, about three people die every day while waiting, but one donor can save more than nine lives.
The lack of donors still exists even though Britain introduced an “opt-out” organ donation law (默认捐献制) in 2020 — everyone is a potential donor unless they say otherwise. However, it is their families that decide whether to donate their loved ones’ organs, and many people never talk with their families about their wishes.
That’s why the Transplant Games are so important. They draw attention to organ donation and show that recipients can live happy, full lives. Anyone healthy who attends at least one team training camp can join.
During the 2025 Games in Oxford, a five-year-old liver (肝) recipient took part in the obstacle race, the 25-meter sprint, and the ball throw. Another participant, who received a kidney at age 13 and is now 36, trains for the Games every year.
Then there is Jenny Glithero, who had an emergency liver transplant. Six months after learning to breathe again, she was back on a bike, training for the Games. She told Positive News, “Why do I do this? Because I’ve been given the gift of life. It is a way to honor my donor. Some people go to church. I get on the bike.”
28.(2.5分)What is the main purpose of the Transplant Games?
A.To honor outstanding athletes. B.To attract tourists to Sheffield.
C.To compete with the Olympics. D.To encourage organ donation.
29.(2.5分)What can we learn about organ donation in Britain?
A.Its law works perfectly. B.Donors’ choices are final.
C.Few patients need transplants. D.Demand is greater than supply.
30.(2.5分)What can be inferred from the examples in paragraphs 6 and 7?
A.Recipients rebuild life actively. B.Organ failure affects all age groups.
C.Athletes must be young and energetic. D.Sports games require professional skills.
31.(2.5分)What is the main focus of the text?
A.The importance of Transplant Games. B.The popularity of international games.
C.The development of British sports laws. D.The new method to solve organ shortage.
(本题10分)You might not have noticed, but most modern hotels hide their stairways for safety, security or beauty. So people tend to be surprised when they see someone running up them. I know this because I’m a Stairs Guy now.
Still, I’m not alone. Stair running is a pastime on the rise, at least if you look at the amount of events on it. The first ever full-scale tower race, reportedly, took place at the Eiffel Tower in 1905, with about 300 runners climbing a mere two levels (729 steps) of the monument. More events followed, but it took a while before the sport spread to the UK in 1968, and the US in 1978. Today, hundreds of events across dozens of countries allow the light-limbed and big-bodied to race each other up some of the world’s most recognizable skyscrapers (摩天大楼).
“My first love is running, and I miss long-distance running races terribly, but my body can’t afford it any more after many years — so stair climbing works very well for me. There’s much less harm, but it’s still extremely challenging,” says Suzy Walsham, who competed in lots of marathons before making the move to stair running. “It’s also a very individual sport and probably two-thirds of the races are time trials — so you are racing against the building and the clock,” she explains. And, of course, it’s fast. The best runners can climb the 1,576 steps of the Empire State Building Run-Up in less than 10 minutes.
Marathon runners often struggle as stair races require lactic acid tolerance and a degree of anaerobic (无氧的) fitness (which works when you’re moving too fast to use oxygen for fuel) as well as the aerobic kind used for longer efforts. “I’ve been faster on the stairs than people who were 10 minutes faster than me over a half marathon,” says Walsham.
32.(2.5分)What does paragraph 2 mainly talk about?
A.The benefits of stair running.
B.The matches of stair running.
C.The tallest buildings in the world.
D.The development of stair running.
33.(2.5分)Why did Walsham move to stair running?
A.Its cost is not high. B.It’s not very challenging.
C.It’s suitable for her body. D.Its popularity has grown.
34.(2.5分)Why is the Empire State Building Run-Up mentioned?
A.To stress the speed of stair running.
B.To praise those runners.
C.To introduce this match.
D.To show the difficulty of stair running.
35.(2.5分)What can be learned from the last paragraph?
A.Walsham needs more aerobic exercise.
B.Walsham usually runs fast in marathons.
C.Marathon runners often join stair races.
D.Marathon differs much from stair races.
(本题12.5分)The Winter Olympics will introduce several new events, with ski mountaineering making its first appearance as a new sport. Known as “skimo”, it requires athletes to hike up a mountain before skiing down. Three events will be held: a women’s sprint, a men’s sprint, and a mixed relay. The competition will take place in Bormio, Italy, at the same site used for Alpine skiing.
Other new events are also being added. These are variations of existing sports and aim to give more athletes, especially women, a chance to compete. One such event is dual moguls (雪上技巧). Two skiers compete side by side on a bumpy course, performing aerial (空中的) tricks. 36(2.5分) Traditional moguls have been part of the Winter Games since the 1990s.
37(2.5分) This event pairs one man and one woman from the same country. They race down an ice track head-first on a small sled. This format adds a new dynamic to the sport.
This year also marks the first time women’s doubles luge will appear. 38(2.5分) They race down the track feet-first on the same sled. This event highlights the importance of teamwork.
It’s not easy for teams to qualify for the Games. The U.S. team narrowly qualified for the Games in a high-stakes race in Utah in early December. 39(2.5分) The pressure was intense, as it was the last chance for teams to earn Olympic ranking points.
These additions show the Winter Olympics’ commitment to evolution and inclusion. 40(2.5分) They also bring fresh excitement to the Games, attracting new audiences and showcasing the athletes’ skills.
A.Another new event is mixed team skeleton.
B.Two women from the same country team up on a single sled.
C.Athletes must navigate sharp turns and maintain high speeds.
D.Ski mountaineering requires both endurance and technical skill.
E.Both men’s and women’s dual moguls will be featured this year.
F.This was the final opportunity for teams to secure their spot in the Olympics.
G.They offer a platform for athletes to demonstrate their abilities in new formats.

The year 2026 marks 56(1.5分) 55th anniversary of Ping-Pong diplomacy, a landmark event 57(1.5分) began with an unexpected incident at the 31st World Table Tennis Championships in Nagoya, Japan. 六、书面表达
67.(本题25分)阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
It was the first time that I had ever run a long race — a marathon. The wind and the rain were cold, and the sun had not yet appeared to warm the day. The starting gun was about to go off any second, and I was ready.
At 28, I felt I was in the best shape of my life. I thought I was completely prepared, having run regularly and participated in several races. But none of those races had been as long as a marathon — 26.2 miles. The longest distance I had run before was just 15 miles. But I was young, full of confidence, and certain that I could make it.
When the gun went off, the race began. I was filled with excitement, and soon the cold weather seemed like nothing to worry about. I focused only on maintaining my position among the other runners. At first, I did have a specific goal in mind — to finish in under four hours. Once I settled into my pace (步伐), though, I quickly realized the goal was well within reach.
After a few miles, I passed an older runner. He looked to be at least 70 years old, and I was surprised to see him in the race. What surprised me even more was that he was ahead of me. He was running slowly, but he kept a steady rhythm (节奏). I passed him without saying a word or offering any encouragement, just continuing to focus on my own race.
By the time I reached the 15-mile mark, I was still on track to finish in under four hours. However, I began to feel tired. My original goal quickly changed from under four hours to four hours and ten minutes, then four hours and 20 minutes. By the time I reached the 20-mile mark, I was out of breath and had to stop running and walk. I moved to the side of the road, struggling to keep my legs moving.
注意:1.续写词数应为150个左右;
2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
And then, to my surprise, the elderly man passed me again.

W: That makes sense. What about playing badminton this weekend?
M: It sounds great. But don’t forget it’s Children’s Day this Saturday. You have to keep your promise to Jane. I heard you talk to her in the bedroom yesterday. Why not put it off till next Monday?
W: It’s a deal.

A.Guides fix firm ropes prior to children’s climbing.
B.Local climbers fully recognize this climbing way.
C.Climbers carry and set up all ropes themselves.

26.(2.5分)Why did the Evermore family build a website?
A.To offer useful suggestions on family education.
B.To overcome hardships to shoot adventure films.
C.To record kids’ experiences and inspire other families.
D.To fulfill dreams by joining professional climbing teams.

29.推理判断题。根据第三段中的“A blog on Westfield Health’s website explains that over 7,000 people in Britain are waiting for organ transplants now. On average, about three people die every day while waiting, but one donor can save more than nine lives.(韦斯特菲尔德健康保险公司官网的一篇博文介绍:英国目前有七千余人等待器官移植。平均每天约有三人在等候期间离世,而一名器官捐献者能够挽救九条以上生命。)”可知,英国器官需求远大于捐献供给。
30.推理判断题。根据第六段中的“During the 2025 Games in Oxford, a five-year-old liver (肝) recipient took part in the obstacle race, the 25-meter sprint, and the ball throw.(2025年牛津赛事中,一名五岁肝移植患儿参与障碍赛、短跑和投球项目。)”以及第七段中的“Six months after learning to breathe again, she was back on a bike, training for the Games.(珍妮术后六个月就骑车备战赛事。)”可知,器官移植受捐者积极重塑新生活。
31.主旨大意题。通读全文,尤其第五段中的“That’s why the Transplant Games are so important. They draw attention to organ donation and show that recipients can live happy, full lives.(这正是移植运动会的重要意义:它提升器官捐献关注度,展现受捐者能够拥有圆满人生。)”可知,文章围绕移植运动会的重要作用展开论述。

【详解】32.主旨大意题。根据第二段中的“Still, I’m not alone. Today, hundreds of events across dozens of countries allow the light-limbed and big-bodied to race each other up some of the world’s most recognizable skyscrapers.(不过,我并非个例。
根据第三段中的“but my body can’t afford it any more after many years—so stair climbing works very well for me. There’s much less harm(但是,多年后我的身体已经承受不住马拉松了——所以爬楼梯对我来说非常合适,伤害小得多)可知,沃尔沙姆转向爬楼梯运动是因为它适合自己的身体状况。故选C项。
34.推理判断题。根据第三段中的“And, of course, it’s fast. The best runners can climb the 1,576 steps of the Empire State Building Run-Up in less than 10 minutes (当然,它速度很快。最优秀的选手能在不到10分钟内爬上帝国大厦登楼赛的1576级台阶)”可知,提及帝国大厦登楼赛是为了强调爬楼梯运动的速度之快。故选A项。
35.推理判断题。根据最后一段中的“Marathon runners often struggle as stair races require lactic acid tolerance and a degree of anaerobic fitness (which works when you’re moving too fast to use oxygen for fuel) as well as the aerobic kind used for longer efforts.(马拉松选手在爬楼梯比赛中往往会感到吃力,因为这类比赛既需要选手具备乳酸耐受性和一定程度的无氧耐力(指身体运动速度过快、无法利用氧气供能时所依赖的体能),还需要长距离运动所需的有氧耐力)”可知,马拉松与爬楼梯运动所需的体能素质不同,二者差异很大。故选D项。

Dear fellow students,
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
【答案】范文:
Dear fellow students,
I’m honored to share the results of our recent survey on weekly exercise duration. 40% of us exercise 2-4 hours a week, while 28% reach 4-5 hours. But 18% exercise less than 2 hours, and only 14% meet the recommended standard of over 5 hours.
This outcome is disappointing. Regular exercise is essential for both health and study, yet heavy workloads and lack of motivation lead many to neglect it.
I suggest we set aside more time for sports and organize fun games to boost enthusiasm. A strong body supports a sharp mind. Let’s take action now!

注意:1.续写词数应为150个左右;
2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
And then, to my surprise, the elderly man passed me again.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
His words struck me hard, and I pushed myself to continue running.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
【答案】例文
And then, to my surprise, the elderly man passed me again. He was still moving effortlessly, and his rhythm remained steady despite the heavy rain and strong winds. I was struggling to keep moving, but there he was, running at the same calm pace as before. As he passed, he gave me a smile and said, “You’re almost there, young man. Just keep going!” His energy, which seemed endless, filled me with a mixture of admiration and frustration. How could he maintain such a steady rhythm? I couldn’t let him outpace me again.
His words struck me hard, and I pushed myself to continue running. I focused on every step, telling myself that I could keep up with him. The race wasn’t just about beating others; it was about pushing my own limits and finding out how far I could go. As I neared the finish line, I couldn’t catch him, but I was proud of the effort I had put in. The elderly man had taught me an important lesson: It’s not about how fast you run, but how you keep going, no matter what challenges you face.
