Everything, from study to environment, has changed. Can you adapt yourself to it? You’re not alone. Remember that everybody else in your year is in the same boat. You may not notice it, but they’re just as nervous as you are. Moving to senior high school is a chance, not a problem. Things are different, and all you need to do is to be polite and learn the new rules. The teachers will help. If you don’t know what to do or are worried about something, then ask for help. Teachers are probably the best people to turn to, because they have experience in helping new students. Pay attention to what your teachers say. Everything changes. There are lots of differences between junior high school and senior high school. You will have your lessons with different teachers in different rooms. You will have homework for different subjects on different days, so make sure you get organized. Make sure you know which rooms your classes are in and which days you have your different subjects on. Other points: If you’ve got an older brother or sister at the school, then ask them for advice. Be yourself! It sounds simple, but things will become better if you just act naturally. Having early nights makes a difference. You’ll also find it easier to get up in the morning! 21.What does the author think of entering senior high school? A.It sounds simple. B.It is a difficult problem. C.It’s a good chance. D.It’s worrying. 22.Which of the following does the author suggest you do? A.Ask your classmates for help. B.Don’t be shy. C.Pay attention to others. D.Just act naturally. 23.What is the main purpose of the passage? A.Tell students a story. B.Tell students how to make full use of time. C.Teach students how to organize themselves. D.Help students that are going to senior high school. B The Face-down Generation If you’re reading this, you were probably born in the 2000s. The oh-ohs. The 21st century. That would make you young, creative, connected, global, and no doubt smart. Maybe good-looking, too. Right? But what do other people think about your generation? Some adults worry that you’re more interested in the screen in front of you than the world around you. They think of you as the “face-down generation” because you use your phone so much and they wonder how you will deal with school, friends, and family. Are today’s teenagers too busy texting and taking selfies (发短信和自拍) to become successful in real life — or “IRL”, as you would say? Other adults worry that today’s youth are spoilt (宠坏的) and don’t want to face the challenges of adult life. Many children born in the 1990s and 2000s were raised by “helicopter parents”. They were always there to guide and help them with a busy schedule filled with homework and extra-curricular activities such as dancing, drawing, or sports. With parents who do everything for them, today’s youth seem to prefer to live like teenagers even when they are in their 20s or 30s. Does the face-down generation need a heads-up? Well, probably not. The fact is that many of today’s teenagers are better educated and more creative than past generations. They also seem to be enthusiastic (热情的) and willing to become leaders. More young people than ever volunteer to help their communities. There are also brave young people such as Malala Yousafzai, the teenager who won the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize for pushing girls’ rights to go to school. So if you’re one of the oh-ohs, there’s reason to be hopeful about the future. Things are looking up for the face-down generation. Chances are that you will do GR8(great) and LOL(laugh out loud). 24.What is the text mainly about? A.The advantages of the “face-down generation”. B.The challenges faced by the “face-down generation”. C.Opinions and facts about the “face-down generation”. D.The lifestyle of the “face-down generation”. 25.Why are the oh-ohs regarded as the “face-down generation”? A.Because they use their phones so much. B.Because they know how to deal with school, friends and family. C.Because they are busy taking selfies to become successful. D.Because they are more interested in the world around them. 26.What would a “helicopter parent” do? A.They do everything for their kids. B.They give a lot of homework to their kids. C.They take part in many extra-curricular activities. D.They would live like teenagers even if they are adults. 27.What would the writer probably agree? A.The oh-ohs are spoilt. B.The oh-ohs need changes. C.The oh-ohs are a generation that brings hope. D.The oh-ohs are less creative than the past generations. C As a teenager, I fell in love with foreign languages — first French, then Italian, then Hindi, and Chinese. The learning has often left me highly frustrated, but has also given me great joy at the fact of having understood some of the beauty of those wonderful, magical tongues.    Why did I learn all those languages? Out of love for different sound systems, different writing systems, different grammars, different idioms, different ways of seeing the world. I also loved repeatedly listening to songs from other lands and feeling the culture and history silently lying in the words and tunes.     My earliest-learnt language was French, and then Italian. My French is very good. Although my Italian is not as good, it gives me a huge burst of pride whenever I’m taken for a native speaker.     Chinese is another kettle of fish. I’ve struggled with it for many years, yet I’m almost always lost in a group of native speakers. It’s discouraging, but I still want to try to climb the Everest (珠穆朗玛峰) of the Chinese language on my own. I don’t want a helicopter (直升机) ride to the summit. Learning another language is one of the deepest and most human things one can possibly do. Language is at the core of who we are. Language makes us who we are.     Today, AI can impressively help anyone to write and read in almost any language. But this is a surface-level exchange of ideas, which comes at a steep price: the loss of honest engagement (参与) with the magic organ that makes us human. The challenges of learning a new language are exactly why it is still so important to do so in the AI era.     Chinese is difficult for me, but I will never allow AI to borrow my voice to express my thoughts aloud in a perfect Chinese accent. 28.What do we know about the author’s learning of foreign languages? A.It is always a pleasant experience. B.It is easiest for her to learn Hindi. C.She started learning them at the age of 8. D.She really loves them and their cultures. 29.Why does the author compare Chinese to “Everest”? A.To show it is full of natural beauty. B.To suggest it is extremely challenging. C.To show it is the most important language. D.To prove it is popular among language learners. 30.Why is learning a new language still important in the AI era? A.Because AI cannot translate languages clearly enough. B.Because it allows us to avoid the challenges of modern life. C.Because the process itself keeps us truly engaged as humans. D.Because it helps us get better grades in school examinations. 31.What is the main purpose of the passage? A.To recommend AI tools for language study. B.To share personal views on learning languages. C.To compare the difficulties of French, Italian and Chinese. D.To prove that Chinese is the hardest language in the world. D We live in a town with three beaches. There are two parks less than 10 minutes’ walk from home where neighbourhood children gather to play. However, what my children want to do after school is pick up a screen — any screen — and stare at it for hours. They are not alone. Today’s children spend an average of four and a half hours a day looking at screens, split between watching television and using the Internet. In the past few years, an increasing number of people and organizations have begun coming up with plans to counter this trend. A couple of years ago, filmmaker David Bond realized that his children, then aged five and three, were attached to screens to the point where he was able to say “chocolate” into his three-year-old son’s ear without getting a response. He realized that something needed to change, and, being a London media type, appointed himself “marketing director for Nature”. He documented his journey as he began to treat nature as a brand to be marketed to young people. The result was Project Wild Thing, a film which charts the birth of the Wild Network, a group of organizations with the common goal of getting children out into nature. “Just five more minutes outdoors can make a difference,” David Bond says. “There is a lot of really interesting evidence which seems to be suggesting that if children are inspired up to the age of seven, then being outdoors will be a habit for life.” His own children have got into the habit of playing outside now: “We just send them out into the garden and tell them not to come back in for a while.” Summer is upon us. There is an amazing world out there, and it needs our children as much as they need it. Let us get them out and let them play. 32.What is the problem with the author’s children? A.They often annoy the neighbours. B.They are tired of doing their homework. C.They have no friends to play with. D.They stay in front of screens for too long. 33.How did David Bond support his idea? A.By making a documentary film. B.By organizing outdoor activities. C.By advertising in London media. D.By creating a network of friends. 34.Which of the following can replace the underlined word “charts” in Paragraph 3? A.Records. B.Advises. C.Carries. D.Needs. 35.What can be a suitable title for the text? A.Let Children Have Fun B.Young Children Need More Free Time C.Market Nature to Children D.David Bond: A Role Model for Children 第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 根据短文内容,从短文后的七个选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项,并在答题卡上将该项涂黑。选项中有两项为多余选项。 The Wonderful Habit of Family Reading Are you searching for a meaningful activity that brings your family closer? 36 This simple practice offers far more benefits than you might imagine. It strengthens bonds and creates lasting positive effects for everyone. 37 Studies show that kids who read with their parents develop stronger language skills. They learn new words naturally and improve their writing abilities. These advantages continue throughout their academic years and beyond. Communication skills improve remarkably for all family members. Reading aloud helps children speak more clearly and confidently. They learn to express their ideas effectively. Even adults discover new ways to share their thoughts during discussions about the stories. Family relationships grow deeper through shared stories. When you read together, you create warm memories that children will always treasure. 38 Parents also gain better understanding of their children's thoughts and feelings. Valuable life lessons come naturally through stories. Children learn about kindness from characters who help others. They understand courage from heroes who face challenges. These moral values guide them in their own lives and relationships. Books offer incredible journeys to amazing places. Together, your family can visit ancient civilizations, explore ocean depths, or travel to distant planets — all from your comfortable home. 39 Make family reading your new tradition. Find out what your family enjoys reading. 40 Take turns reading aloud. Discuss the stories together. This habit will bring knowledge, warmth and happiness to your home for years to come. A.Try reading together! B.Act out book characters! C.Reading together after dinner is better. D.Choose interesting books that appeal to all ages. E.This special time makes children feel secure and loved. F.Reading regularly helps children perform better in school. G.These adventures spark curiosity and create learning opportunities. 第三部分 语言运用(共两节,满分30分) 第一节 完形填空(共15小题;每题1分,满分15分) 阅读下面短文,从短文后各题所给的四个选项(A,B,C和D)中,选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。 What will the future world be like?
