By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:
1. With the help of audio materials and pictures, recognize and understand various common teenage problems and their manifestations in study, family, friendship and personal life.
2. Acquire and sort out the problems (such as low spirits and lack of sleep from staying up late), their causes and solutions discussed by Millie in the dialogue, and extract and summarize the vocabulary and expressions for stating troubles, analyzing causes and giving advice.
3. Use the vocabulary and expressions related to teenage problems to communicate about personal or classmates’ growing troubles and offer reasonable suggestions, and initially develop a positive attitude towards facing growing confusions and solving problems actively.

e.g. 1:Many teenagers feel pressured to fit in with their classmates. For example, some students might feel forced to follow trends or skip classes just because their friends are doing it, even if they know it’s not right.

Language points
1. mad adj. 发疯的;生气的
It drives me mad. 这快把我逼疯了。
mad作形容词,意为“发疯的;生气的”。常用短语:
(1) drive sb mad意为“使人发疯”;其中drive是及物动词,意为“迫使”,相当于make;mad在此处作宾语补足语,可用crazy替换。
(2) be mad at…意为“生······的气”,mad在此处作表语,与be angry with/at…同义。
