A Daniel is reading a magazine article about common teenage problems. Read it with him and answer the questions below.
Two common teenage problems
Teenage years are a stage of change and growth. Every day, teenagers face all kinds of stresses and problems. Two common ones are body changes and friendship troubles.
Teenagers’ bodies experience rapid changes in shape during this stage. And changes in mood are also common. For example, many teenagers suffer from skin problems. These problems make them feel ugly. Sometimes, it is hard for them to deal with all these changes.
Most teenagers also have trouble with their friends. Sometimes your friends want you to do things that you probably do not want to do. It might be hard for you to refuse because you do not want to risk losing the friendship.
Teenagers should know that they are not alone. Almost everyone goes through these problems. If you feel bad during your teenage years, first try asking someone for help.
1 What are the common teenage problems talked about in the article?
2 Have you had any of the problems discussed in the article? How did you deal with the problems and stay healthy, both in body and mind?
The common teenage problems talked about in the article are body changes and friendship troubles.
Yes, I once had friendship troubles with my best friend. I talked to her calmly about our problem, and we made up soon. Good communication helped me stay healthy in body and mind.(答案不唯一)

(Daniel teaches Millie how to do breathing exercises.)
Millie: Oh, that makes me feel a bit better! Thanks. What about you? You don’t look happy either.
Daniel: To be honest, I often feel lonely lately.
Millie: I’m sorry to hear that. Maybe you could spend more time with friends. Would you like to go to the library with me after school?
