After that, they kept to a regular (固定的) habit—posting one short video every Tuesday. Their videos cover different topics, such as traditional clothing and ancient art. Next, the studio is going to work on a “China Travel” series to introduce more Chinese cities to the world.
Everyone in the studio shares the same goal: to tell China’s stories well in both Chinese and English. As Professor Zhang says, language learning not only helps us see the world, but also lets the world see China.

In recent years, a new style of travel has become more and more popular. This kind of travel is for those who want to try exciting activities but in an easier way. They focus on experiencing comfortable feelings, instead of a strong feeling of excitement. To meet the growing needs, many tourist attractions have unveiled their own special tourism products.
At a tourist attraction in Zhejiang Province, many people are lining up to try a new bungee jump (蹦极). The traditional bungee jump scares a lot of people. Unlike the traditional one, the new bungee jump gives people a soft landing. They fall slowly instead of dropping suddenly and making their heart race. In this way, people can get a taste of bungee jumping without feeling too scared. “It’s so wonderful! It gives me the chance to do something that I used to be afraid to try,” shared one tourist.
Shenxianju, a national park in Zhejiang Province, did something similar. The park is large and beautiful, but it takes a lot of effort to enjoy its best views through hiking. Many families, the elderly, and even some young people want an easier and friendlier way to enjoy nature. After learning that, the park developed a “no-sweat (无汗) climb”. It includes a carefully-designed system of cable cars, escalators (自动扶梯) and easy walking paths. The system became popular quickly and has attracted more visitors to the park.
The new style of travel shows a big change in modern people’s travel values. It isn’t about avoiding challenges (挑战). After all, most people travel to enjoy mountains and rivers, not to conquer (征服) them.

Seaweed (海藻) is a plant that grows in the ocean. It creates underwater forests where many sea animals live. Crabs (蟹) and fish like to stay in its long leaves. Seaweed grows very fast and does not need soil (土壤) or freshwater.
There are many kinds of seaweed. Some are thin, and some are tall. Seaweed helps make oxygen, and this is good for the air and water.
Recent studies show that seaweed farming could help reduce CO₂. Too much CO₂ can make the earth warmer. Seaweed can take in CO₂ as it grows. When seaweed breaks, some pieces go deep into the ocean. The CO₂ goes with them and stays there. This may help fight climate change by slowing down global (全球的) warming.
Seaweed farms are easy to set up. Farmers use ropes or nets to grow seaweed in the water. These farms do not need land, and they can create food and other useful things for people.
Scientists are studying if big seaweed farms can truly help the climate. And they want to make sure these farms are safe for ocean animals. With good planning, they hope seaweed can help our planet.
( ) 31. What is a simple fact about seaweed?
A. It only grows in lakes. B. It has very short leaves.
C. It grows fast in the ocean. D. It may harm some sea animals.
( ) 32. Why is seaweed good for the environment?
A. Because it makes oxygen. B. Because it creates freshwater.
C. Because it is food for sea animals. D. Because it catches lots of sunlight.
( ) 33. How can seaweed fight climate change?
A. By making the weather cooler directly. B. By stopping all CO₂ from coming out.
C. By taking in and storing CO₂ away. D. By lowering the water temperature.
( ) 34. What are scientists studying about seaweed farms?
A. How much money they cost. B. If they are safe for ocean life.
C. How they change sea levels (海平面). D. How fast they grow.
( ) 35. What can we infer from the passage?
A. Seaweed farming needs plenty of farmland.

My favourite book
The book I like most is The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
It tells a story about a little prince travelling among different planets. During his journey, he meets all kinds of people and learns a lot about love and friendship.
I love it because its story is warm and meaningful. From the book, I learn that what is important can only be seen with the heart. We should treasure the people we love and keep our childlike heart forever.
