Step 1 Work on Assessment

1.Greet the class and conduct a quick review of the unit with short questions about personalities,jobs and grammar.

2.Ask students to complete the exercises on pages 122-123 to assess their learning of new words and grammar.

3.Organize students to work in pairs or groups.Ask them to explain how personality can influence job choice and share one recommendation with reasons.

4.Guide students to complete the self⁃assessment form according to the four “What I can do” statements,and then write what they are good at,what needs improvement and an action plan.

Step 2 Work on Further study

1.Introduce the TV programme The Truth about Personality.

2.Ask students to watch the programme after class and take notes.

3.Organize students to prepare a short sharing about the programme for the next class.

Step 3 Summary

1.Summarize the whole unit and praise students’ efforts.

2.Encourage students to know themselves better and use their strengths.

　　本课时通过多元评估方式了解了学生的学习情况,学生能客观认识自己的优势与不足,但制订学习计划时不够具体,可行性不强。后续需加强对学生学习方法和计划制订的指导,帮助学生提升自主学习能力。
