It's a pity to let you go to waist, like that mother said, since you all enjoy eating peanut, let's make IT a peanut field. My brother's sisters and I were all excited. We began buying seats, digging up the ground and watering the plants. In a couple of months, we had a harvest. Let's have a party tonight to celebrate. Mother suggested he cooked the peanuts in different ways and told us to go to the garden for the celebration. Who can tell me what peanuts are good for? Father asked. They taste delicious. My sister took the lead. They're good for making oil. My brother followed their cheap. I said, almost everyone can afford to buy peanuts, and most people like eating them. Peanut s are good for many things, father said, but still there's one special thing about them. Unlike apples and peaches that show their fruits in the air and attracted people with their beautiful colors, the peanut plant hides its troops in the earth until you dig IT out. You can't tell by looking at its thin stem whether IT bears fruit or not. That's true. We all said, mother noted to trying to be like a peanut is a good idea. Father went on. It's useful, though not very attractive. Do you mean? I asked, compared with being useful, looking for attention and praise from others is not that important? Yes, further said, this is what I mean, and this is what I expect of you. We talked late into the night and ate all the peanut s mother had cooked for us. But fathers words remain clear in my memory to this day.
