Promise to be there for all doctor’s visits whether she has a disease or needs a regular medical check-up. Gift No. 2 Help your mother organize all of her medical records, which include the test results and medical information. Put them all in one place. Be sure to make a list of all of her medicines and what time she takes them. “Having all this information in one place could end up saving your mother’s life,” Dr. Marie Savard said. Gift No. 3 Enough sleep is connected with general health conditions. “Buy your mother cotton sheets and comfortable pillows to encourage better sleep,” Savard said. “We know that good sleep is very important to our health.” Gift No. 4 Some gift companies such as Presents for Purpose allow you to pay it forward this Mother’s Day by picking gifts, 10 percent of whose price you pay goes to a charity(慈善机构). Gift givers can choose from a wide variety of useful but inexpensive things — many of which are “green” — and then choose a meaningful charity from a list. When your mother gets the gift she will be told that she has helped the chosen charity. 21. What are you advised to do for your mother at doctor’s visits? A. To take notes. B. To be with her. C. To buy medicines. D. To give her gifts. 22. Where can you find an idea for gifts to improve your mother’s sleep? A. In Gift No. 1. B. In Gift No. 2. C. In Gift No. 3. D. In Gift No. 4. 23. Buying gifts from Presents for Purpose allows mothers to . A. enjoy good sleep B. be well-organized C. get extra support D. give others help B To most of us, school means classes, teachers, schedules, grades, and tests. But for the children at Sudbury Valley School in Massachusetts, school is very different. Firstly, there are no lessons. All the children, aged between 4 and 19, do whatever they want. There are no teachers — only “staff members”. The idea behind this is that you do not need to make children learn, because children want to learn anyway. You do not need to say to a three-year-old, “Go explore your environment. You can’t stop them!” says Daniel Greenberg, a founder of the school. “But if you make children do what you want all day, they will lose all taste for learning.” At Sudbury Valley School, you will permit children to talk, read, paint, cook, work on computers, study French, play the piano, climb trees or just run around. Two boys spent three years just fishing! The other way that Sudbury Valley School is different is that the children can decide the rules. Every week, there is a school meeting where both children and staff have one vote each — even the four-year-olds. They decide the school rules, how to spend the school budget, and even which staff they want and do not want any more. When the school first opened in 1968, people said it would never work. But today, the school has 200 students, and 80% of its students go on to college. Even the two boys who went fishing all the time have successful careers today. One of them is a musician and the other is a computer scientist. 24. What is the main topic of the article? A. An unusual school. B. Children’s hobbies. C. A school without rules. D. Education in the US. 25. What does the school believe? A. Teachers cannot teach children well. B. Children learn best when they do what they want to do. C. Learning is for adults — children should only play. D. Children should only learn about one thing at a time. 26. What does Daniel Greenberg say about three-year-olds? A. They love learning. B. They are very naughty. C. They want to be outside all the time. D. They are too young to learn anything. 27. Who has the most power in the school meetings? A. The older children have more power than the younger children. B. A child has more power than an adult. C. The younger children have more power than the older children. D. Everybody has equal power. C What is the hottest topic at your school recently? In Taiyuan No. 55 Middle School, it’s money. The school held an activity called “making money” last weekend. About 200 Junior 1 and Junior 2 students were divided into 30 teams. They went out to make money by selling things. What did they choose to sell? Some sold newspapers; some chose bottled water; some sold environmentally friendly shopping bags and bamboo baskets. Hu Qing’s team decided to sell some useful books in front of the Children Activity Center. They thought parents would like to buy the books for their children. But unfortunately, they met urban management officers(城管). The officers asked them to leave. “We played hide-and-seek(捉迷藏)with the officers for the whole morning” said Hu. “Finally we had to give up.” Wang Bing and her team sold ice cream in a square. They didn’t meet any officers. But few people were interested in what they were selling. The team then put up a board saying “For Country Kids”. It worked. More people came to their stall(小摊). A foreigner even gave them 100 yuan. “He didn’t want any change. He said he wanted to help the children,” said Wang. “We were touched.” Later that day they gave the 100 yuan and more to the “Project Hope” office. MengZhaoxiang and his team were luckier. They sold all their cakes in four hours, spending 39. 5 yuan and getting back 80 yuan. They made 40. 5 yuan. “It was not easy to make the money,” said Meng. “Some people just looked. Others just tasted but didn’t buy. Now I know how hard it is for our parents to make the money we need to lead happy lives.” 28. Who took part in the activity? A. Some teachers. B. About 200 of Junior 1 and Junior 2 students. C. About 200 students of the three grades. D. About 200 Junior 1 students. 29. Why did Hu Qing’s team finally give up? A. Because the parents didn’t like to buy the books. B. Because the Children Activity Center was too crowded. C. Because the officers didn’t allow them to sell anything there. D. Because the team played the game of the hide-and-seek the whole morning. 30. Why did more people come to Wang Bing’s stall at last? A. The people were willing to help country kids. B. A foreigner came up and helped them. C. The team put up a magic board. D. The people were interested in their ice cream. 31. What can students learn according to the passage? A. It’s impossible for them to make money. B. It’s very important for them to make a living. C. It’s not easy for their parents to make money. D. It’s difficult for them to make money. D School was always something I loved because I always enjoyed learning more. I never felt afraid of going to school early in the morning, and I never tried to get out of any work. I stayed after school every chance I got. I did most of the work I could, got the best grades I could, and in the end, I graduated from high school with honors. All my success was because of the teachers I had who helped me, pushed me, and made learning a fun thing to do. At the beginning of the school year, I had a lot of trouble leaving my mom in the mornings, but Mrs. Trainer always sat with me, talked with me, and helped me feel ok without my mom. She was understanding, kind, and always made the classroom a comfortable place. Mrs. Trainer also sat down and helped me learn; I was, and still am, the worst speller, but she tried her hardest to help me. The second was my senior high school English teacher, Mr. Stonerock. Mr. Stonerock was able to make English and writing fun, especially when we had eight-page papers to hand in. Some of my favorite high school memories(记忆)were in his classes. Mr. Stonerock also taught my class APA format(格式)which to me is invaluable. I use it every day in my life. He put up with so many shenanigans(恶作剧)from my classmates and me and always did it with a smile. My point to all of this is that there are amazing and caring teachers out there whether they teach college level classes, high school level classes, or primary level classes. I have had more influential teachers than I can count. I am still in touch with some of my high school teachers, who give me life advice and guide me. Teachers are invaluable resources(资源)and no one can take their place. 32. Which of the following can best describe the author as a student? A. Creative and proud. B. Confident and polite. C. Kind-hearted and honest. D. Hard-working and excellent. 33. How did Mrs. Trainer help the author? A. By teaching him like a mother. B. By helping him to be the best speller. C. By asking him easy questions in class. D. By learning about his habits from his mother. 34. What is the most useful skill the author learnt from Mr. Stonerock? A. How to finish papers quickly. B. How to use APA format correctly. C. How to learn English in a fun way. D. How to get on well with classmates. 35. What is the purpose of this text? A. To show how to be a good teacher. B. To stress teachers’ key roles in schools. C. To praise teachers important to the author. D. To share the author’s experience as a teacher. Help Your Child Look Forward to School Your child says that he is sick whenever the alarm clock goes off. Talk to your child You can ask questions like “Did you have a good day today?” or “ 37 “If your child rides the bus, you can ask where he sits and why. Are there behaviour problems you do not realize? 38 Be aware Your child’s problem may also be caused by a learning disability. Set up a time to discuss the problem with his teachers. 40 If your child’s homework is untidy, don’t criticize(批评)his handwriting. Instead, praise him for completing the work. For this was what the notice just inside the entrance promised. It said: “Remember, once a week, one of our customers gets free goods. This may be your lucky day.” For several weeks Mrs. Emerson hoped, like many of her friends, to be the lucky customer. Unlike her friends, she never gave up hope. Her kitchen was full of things which she did not need. Her husband tried to dissuade(劝阻)her but failed. She dreamed of the day when the manager of the supermarket would approach her and say, “Madam, this is your lucky day. Everything in your basket is free.” ( One morning, after she had finished her shopping and had taken it to her car she found that she forgot to buy any tea. ) 曾都一中2026级高一上英语测试题(一)参考答案 听力 1-20: BACAB ACCBA BCCAB CABCB 阅读: BCD ABAD BCAC DABC FDCGA 完形填空: CBCAD ACBBC ADCBD 【语篇解读】 本文是一篇应用文。作者介绍了4则母亲节期间为母亲提供的礼物的广告。 21. B 细节理解题。根据Gift No. 1中的“Promise to be there for all doctor’s visits whether she has a disease or needs a regular medical check-up.(不管是疾病检查还是定期的医疗检查,你都一定要陪母亲看医生。)”可知,“Promise to be there”和选项B(To be with her)意思相近。故选B项。 22. D 细节理解题。由Gift No. 4中的最后一句“When your mother gets the gift she will be told that she has helped the chosen charity.”可知,当你母亲得到这件礼物的时候,她将被告知,她帮助了选定的慈善机构。也就是允许母亲给予其他人帮助。故选D项。 【语篇解读】 本文是一篇说明文。介绍了与众不同的Sudbury Valley School这所学校。 24. A 主旨大意题。文章主要介绍了Sudbury Valley School不同寻常的地方:学生不用上课,不用做作业,可以随心所欲干自己想干的事,可以参与学校制度的制定。这样的学校的确少见。故选A项。 25. B 推理判断题。从第二段可知,被动学习只会让学生失去兴趣,让学生做自己想做的事他们才会学得最好。故选B项。 26. A 细节理解题。Daniel Greenberg的话是对“you do not need to make children learn, because children want to learn anyway”的进一步说明,孩子们热爱学习,由此可知A项正确。 27. D 细节理解题。从倒数第二段中“Every week, there is a school meeting where both children and staff have one vote each — even the four-year-olds. They decide the school rules, how to spend the school budget, and even which staff they want and do not want any more.”可知在Sudbury Valley School的所有学生和教职员工大家都有平等的学校管理权。故D正确。 【语篇解读】 本文是一篇新闻报道。主要介绍了太原的一所学校举办的一次“赚钱”活动,同学们积极参与其中,并且感悟到父母赚钱不容易的事情。 28. F 考查上下文逻辑。根据空前“he is sick whenever the alarm clock goes off. Your child hides under the covers and cries, ’I hate school’”可知,这些都是孩子讨厌上学的现象,再根据空后If he behaves like that可知,该空也是孩子讨厌上学的现象,故F项“你的孩子故意忘拿作业”符合上下句逻辑。故选F项。 37. D 考查上下文逻辑。根据空后“you can ask where he sits and why”可知,该空是问句,故选C或D,而C项询问的是关于“你的孩子”的情况;不合题意。D项“你和你的同学相处怎样”符合题意。故选D项。 38. C 考查上下文逻辑。根据空前“Are there behaviour problems you do not realize”可知,是在询问你的孩子的情况。 此处指“在某方面有兴趣”,用have interest in sth.。 60. to change 考查不定式。decide to do sth. 意为“决定做某事”,为常用搭配形式。 61. paying 考查动名词。句意:所以我在课堂上更加专心,我开始练习我的词汇和拼写技能。end up doing sth. Dear Peter, Long time no see! W: About five minutes, if you take a bus there. M: What a sunny day and I want to take a walk. W: Good idea. Walk straight and take the second turning on your right, you can see it next to the bank. It’s about fifteen minutes’ walk. M: Great. Thank you very much. W: You’re welcome. 8. C 9. B 10. A M: Hi, Jane. What did you do during the winter vacation? W: Hi, David. May and I worked as volunteers in the deaf children’s home. M: Cool! What did you do? W: I cleaned rooms for them and May cooked for them. M: What a wonderful experience! W: Yes, it really was. We have learned a lot from it. What about you? M: I’ve been to an English winter camp. I made some new friends there. We also put on a talent show for the old in the community. W: Great. Helping others makes us happy. 11. B 12. C 13. C W: What’s your new classroom like, Peter? M: It’s large. There are forty student desks in the room, and a teacher’s desk in front of the blackboard. W: Where do you sit? M: I sit in the middle of the classroom. W: That’s nice. What’s special in your classroom? M: There is a smart white board next to the blackboard. Oh, and there is another blackboard at the back of the classroom. W: Another blackboard? M: Yes, we put up important notices there. W: Are there any lockers in the classroom? M: No, there aren’t. We put our things in the desk drawers. 14. A 15. B 16. C W: Hi, John. We’ll have an English class party. Can you help me? M: With pleasure, Miss Green. When shall we have it? W: This Friday afternoon. There is still a lot to do to get it ready. M: Are we going to have it in our classroom? W: No, I’m afraid not. Our classroom is a little small. I want to have it in the meeting room. M: Good idea. What can I do for you? W: I have asked Sue, Tom for help. Sue will make the room look nicer with balloons, and Tom has promised he will play the music and make a playlist from your favourite songs. M: I hear Tom plays in a band. He can play wonderful music. W: So he does. M: I’m good at cooking. I’ll make a chocolate cake and a fruit cake for the class party. W: Great, thanks a lot. 17. A 18. B 19. C 20. B W: Hi, I’m Jane. I was very busy last Sunday. In the morning, I read the history book as the history test was coming. We have history tests twice a month. In the afternoon, I first drew some pictures; then I cleaned my bedroom. My mother asked me to clean it twice a week. In the evening, my friend Tracy came to me. She wanted to take a one-day trip to the beach next Saturday, but she had to look after her brother on the weekend. She didn’t know what to do, so she asked me for advice. ( — 1 — ) 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
