Today was a wonderful day in Jingdezhen, and it was my first time coming here. The city is famous for its ceramics (陶瓷制品). The landscape made a deep impression (印象) on me on my arrival. There are many mountains around the city, and the air is very fresh.
First, I visited the Jingdezhen Ceramic Museum. There are so many beautiful ceramic pieces from different times. There are also some fine artworks made hundreds of years ago with beautiful pictures on them. Making ceramics needs many steps and a lot of skills. I was surprised at the complexity (复杂性) of the work. I tried to make a small piece of ceramic myself. It was hard for a boy like me, but I succeeded in making one.
Then I went to the Ancient Kiln Site Park (窑址公园). It was very interesting to see the places where the ancient workers used to make ceramics. I really wanted to know how the workers made ceramics. In the park, I watched an artist painting a plate. He was very creative. I found myself deeply drawn by his way of making ceramics. I tried making a small bowl with his guidance. It seemed like a piece of cake, but I failed to complete it. Finally, I bought a small ceramic cup as a souvenir for myself. It was a great way to remember the visit to Jingdezhen.
I really enjoyed my day in Jingdezhen. It is a place full of history and art. I can understand why it is called the “Porcelain Capital (瓷都)”. I believe I will have more chances to revisit it and learn more about ceramic culture in the future.

When I’m studying all day for final exams, I often want to snack-especially if I’m at home with an easy way to the fridge.
It’s important to eat three meals a day at the right time. But feelings of boredom (厌烦,无聊) or stress may cause us to turn to food when we’re not actually hungry. It is called study snack attack (学习时的零食冲动). When breaking open a bag of potato chips and having them happily, you may feel satisfied. However, junk food is not a good choice because they make you get fat and heavy. Try out the following tips to stop your study snack attack.
Walk away from snacks!
Go for a short walk outside: the fresh air is not only a good way to help you get your focus back, but it may also reduce (减少) your study snack attack. There are some studies that have found a ten-to-fifteen-minute walk does work.
Stay hydrated (保持水分)!
Thirst is sometimes mistaken for hunger, so make sure you stay hydrated with water or tea. I’ve found having tea is one of the best ways to stop me from snacking! My top pick is green tea without any sugar.
Have crispy healthy “snacks”!
If you find you are a bit hungry, eat a crispy healthy “snack”—raw (生的) vegetables. Although they may not be your favorite, crispy vegetables like carrots and peppers will bring you the sense of having chips.

Do you find it hard to motivate (激励) yourself to clean the house? Me too. Cleaning the house is really one of those jobs that never end. But I find some nice ways to get motivated to do the housework.
One of the good ways is to own (拥有) less so that there will be less to keep clean and tidy. Every few months, I throw away something I don’t need or use. The house looks much tidier.
Cleaning the whole (全部的) house in one go can be really difficult, so I make a plan to do a little each day. As a result, when the weekend comes, I finish cleaning almost everything and I don’t need to spend the whole weekend doing the housework.
When I have a lot of housework to do, I’ll always start with the easiest thing. I ask myself which one is going to be the quickest to finish. And that’s the one I will start with. In this way, I feel that doing the housework becomes much easier for me.
I like to listen to music while doing the housework. I sometimes like to sing and dance while doing the housework. And the housework is done before I know it! I feel relaxed at the same time.
