III.  Teaching procedures

Step1 Revision

1. Review the two letters of Zhang Ke and Luo Yang. Ask students to retell their problems.

2. Quick quiz: Review key phrases from Reading (1).

Step2 While‑class

Task1 Part C: How to manage stress at school

1. Students read the passage and fill in the blanks with correct forms of the words in the box.

2. Check answers together. Explain key phrases: cut back on, stick to, fall behind, regret, waste, decision, patience.

3. Read the passage aloud together.

Task2 Part D Group discussion

1. Show three questions:

① Whose problem do you think is more difficult to solve, Kitty’s or Simon’s? Give your reasons.

② What advice would you give to Kitty and Simon?

③ What do you think is the most important thing when dealing with teenage problems?

2. Work in groups of four. Discuss the questions.

3. Invite several groups to share their ideas in front of the class.
