根据固定搭配bring sth. to sb.

A Village’s Bright Future
Yuan Bailing remembers her childhood well. When she was a little girl, it took her almost an hour to get to school each day. The roads were just dirt tracks. But she loved school so much that she never missed a day.
Now, great changes have taken place in her village. Better roads and bridges have been built. It now takes only ten minutes for children to get to school. New houses have been built, and the village has a new library and a small hospital.
Yuan Bailing is the first person from her village to graduate from university. After graduation, she decided to return to her hometown to become a teacher. “I want to help more children get a good education,” she says. “I want to be part of my hometown’s growth and development.”

What Makes a Hero?
We all respect heroes. From ancient warriors (勇士) to modern-day scientists, heroes have encouraged us to be better. But what makes a person a hero?
Some people think that heroes are born with special abilities. They believe that heroes are brave, strong, and talented. However, this is not true. Most heroes are common people who choose to do extraordinary (非凡的) things.
Heroes are not defined (定义) by their power. Their actions and choices have made them heroes. A hero is someone who helps others, even when it is not easy. They show courage and kindness when meeting difficulty. They often make contributions (贡献) to others.
Heroes also come in many forms. Some heroes fight for justice (公正) and freedom. Others lose their lives to help the poor or the sick. Some heroes are everyday people who take simple and kind actions.
In conclusion, anyone can be a hero. You do not need to be famous or powerful. All you need is a good heart and the willingness to help others. As the saying goes, “Heroes are made, not born.”
31. What is the main idea of the passage?
A. Heroes are only found in history books. B. Everyone can be a hero.
C. Heroes must be powerful and famous. D. Only ancient warriors are heroes.
32. What makes a person a hero?
A. Their special abilities. B. Their wealth. C. Their actions and choices. D. Their appearance.
33. What do heroes often do?

A. Those who fight for justice. B. Those who help the poor.
C. Those who take simple and kind actions. D. Those who are born into rich families.
35. What is the meaning of the saying “Heroes are made, not born”?
A. Heroes are born with special gifts. B. Heroes become heroes through their actions.
C. Only some people can be heroes. D. Heroes cannot choose to be heroes.
B 32. C 33. A 34. D 35. B

第三段指出:“They often make contributions to others.”,直接说明英雄常常为他人做贡献。
第四段指出:“Some heroes fight for justice...Others lose their lives to help the poor or the sick. Some heroes are everyday people who take simple and kind actions.”,文中提到了为正义奋斗、帮助穷人、做出简单善举的英雄,没有提到出身富裕家庭的人。
Fire is useful and important. You use it to cook meals every day. But if you are not careful, fire can be dangerous at any time. Many people get hurt or die in fires. So knowing how to protect yourself in a fire is very important.
When a fire happens, the first thing you must do is to find safe routes to get away quickly. If you are on the higher floors of the building, you can’t use the lift. You should run out along the stairs. From the lower floors of the building, you can jump out through the window if necessary. Before opening a door, touch it first. If it is hot, do not open it, because the fire is just outside.
If you can’t get out of the room, you must be careful of the smoke. In fact, most of the people in fires die from the heavy smoke. Find something wet to cover your nose and mouth. Keep low to the ground, and you will take in less smoke. And you can also open the window and keep your head outside to get fresh air and shout for help.
Remember: Nothing is more important than your life. You must leave everything behind — your money, your phones and so on. After you’re out, don’t go back for anything.
Follow these tips, and you can stay safe in the fire.

Her story is not unique. Across China, many young people are returning to their hometowns. They bring new ideas and skills. They start businesses, teach in schools, and help improve local farming. The government has also provided support — building roads, hospitals, and schools.
