一、语法选择(15分)
One afternoon, I sat by a lake watching an old man fishing. He sat quietly by the water for hours, yet he never seemed 1 . “Why do you like fishing so much?” I asked. He smiled and said, “Fishing teaches me patience.”
I nodded, not fully understanding. Then he told me a story. “Years ago, I was a young man full of 2 . I hurried through life and always complained about what I didn’t have. One day, a friend took me fishing. “Sit and watch the water,” he said. 3 I waited, I noticed the sun 4 on the lake, and a bird flew across the sky 5 . For the first time, I felt inner peace. Fishing taught me how to stop and appreciate the moment.”
“But what if you don’t catch 6 fish?” I asked. “Ah,” he said, “the secret isn’t about the fish. It’s about 7 to be present. Life is like a lake which sometimes is calm, sometimes full of waves. The key is to keep ourselves steady even when the storm comes.”
His words made a difference 8 me. Later, I faced a difficult exam. Instead of being afraid, I remembered his advice. I told myself that I 9 stay calm and trust my preparation. So I took deep breaths and focused on each question. When I saw the results, I found I had done better than expected.
Now, whenever I feel stressed, I recall the afternoon by the lake. The old man wasn't just teaching me about fishing; he also taught me a lesson in life. He showed me that happiness 10 not in rushing to the end, but in enjoying the journey. Sometimes, the most valuable lessons come from the simplest moments—if only we spend the time noticing them.

三、阅读理解(45分)
第一节、阅读选择(30分)
A
The 2026 hit movie Dear You has moved millions of viewers with its simple but powerful story. The film tells the story of emigrants (侨民) from Guangdong’s Chaoshan area. Though the dialogue is in the local dialect (方言), the film’s box office takings are close to 2 billion.
The movie takes place in the 1940s. At its center is Ye Shurou, who was left to raise three children alone after her husband Zheng Musheng traveled to Southeast Asia to make a living. A main thread (线) running through the story is qiaopi (侨批) — letters sent by emigrants back to their families. The letters brought Ye Shurou money and news about her husband, so day after day she could wait for him, full of hope. Though Zheng wrote letters year after year, he never came back. Many years later, the couple’s grandson Xiaowei traveled to Thailand in search of Zheng. He found a surprising fact that his grandfather had died there many years before. He also learned that Zheng had once saved a hotel owner’s life in a fire, and the owner’s daughter, Xie Nanzhi, kept writing letters to Zheng’s family for another eighteen years, carefully signing Zheng’s name every time. At the end of the movie, Ye Shurou visited Xie Nanzhi and thanked her sincerely for her quiet kindness in those qiaopi letters across thousands of miles.
Before phones and the internet, Chinese people living abroad stayed connected to their loved ones through qiaopi — letters that often included money. The word combines (结合) qiao (“overseas Chinese”) and pi (“letter”). These letters were usually short. They started with polite greetings and soon talked about practical news. Yet within just a few lines, they carried deep emotions. Some qiaopi letters travelled thousands of kilometers by ship and passed through many hands before reaching a village. The practice was added to UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register (《世界记忆遗产名录》) in 2013.
In history, qiaopi also played an important role in supporting China during difficult times. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (抗日战争), overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia sent money and supplies; some even returned to China to join the fight, with qiaopi serving as a channel (渠道) of support.
The film is deeply rooted in Chaoshan culture. It reflects a strong sense of duty and resilience (坚韧) while also showing the strength of women in the area. The stories in Dear You may seem to belong to the past, but they still speak to people today.

Nowadays, most teenagers’ daily schedules are fully occupied (占领)by heavy homework, endless after-school tutoring and various training courses. Many parents believe every spare minute must be filled with productive learning, so they seldom leave blank hours for their kids to follow their own hearts. Gradually, a large number of young people lose the ability to feel simple happiness, for they have never owned a piece of time completely belonging to themselves. The theme “My time, my joy” reminds every teen to defend their private leisure and find inner peace within self-controlled hours.
Elena, a Grade Nine student from London, once lived under a fully arranged timetable. Every weekday evening, she finished one exercise book after another; weekends were split into piano, math and public speaking classes without any break. She used to think joy only came from high exam scores and praise from teachers, yet she often felt empty and tired deep inside. Last winter vacation, she talked sincerely with her mother about her pressure, proposing to reserve three hours every Sunday as totally free personal time with no study tasks allowed. Her mother hesitated at first but finally agreed to give her a chance.
During those three hours, Elena puts away all textbooks and mobile phones. She wanders around the community garden to watch birds, reads old storybooks she loved in childhood, or simply sits by the window to draw random sketches without worrying about whether they look perfect. At the beginning, she felt uneasy for “wasting time”, but as weeks went by, she gained unexpected calmness. She no longer gets anxious easily when facing difficult exams, and her learning efficiency rises greatly on school days. Psychologists explain that self-owned leisure acts as mental fuel: it relieves long-term pressure and refreshes our brains, making us more focused when we return to study.
Lots of people misunderstand that free time equals laziness. In fact, my time creates my unique joy not because we avoid hard work, but because we get space to connect with our true selves. Busy study is necessary for growth, but it should never swallow all our life. Whether you like planting small green plants, writing diaries or walking alone in quiet streets, hold fast to your own time. Those unhurried moments are where genuine joy hides, warm and irreplaceable.
26. What makes most teenagers unable to feel simple happiness in their daily life?
A. They are tired of boring housework every day.
B. Their life is fully filled with arranged learning tasks.
C. They lack proper training and school courses.
D. Their parents care little about their study.
27. Why did Elena feel uneasy at the beginning of her free time?
A. She worried she would waste valuable study time.
B. She had no idea about what to do for fun.
C. She was afraid of failing future exams.
D. She missed her daily training classes.
28. Which of the following is true about self-owned leisure time?
A. It makes students lazy and less focused.
B. It helps reduce pressure and improve study state.
C. It replaces hard study and daily training.
D. It only works for students with exam pressure.
29. What does the writer want to tell us in the last paragraph?
A. Free time is a kind of lazy and useless behavior.
B. Study is the only way for teenagers to grow up.
C. Free time helps us find true self and real joy.
D. We should make full use of every minute to study.
30. What is the best title for the passage?
A. My Colorful School Life B. The True Joy of Unplanned Personal Time
C. How to Improve Learning Efficiency D. Pressure and Growth of Teenagers

Think about how much time you spent outside last week. Really “outside”. Walking from the car into the mall doesn’t count.
Now think about how much time you spent indoors—on the Internet or playing video games or watching TV.
You may say, “I play inside more than outside and I like to play games on the computer.”
If so, it’s likely that you spent more time inside four walls than outside in fresh air. Kids today spend two fewer hours per week on sports and outdoor activities than kids did 20 years ago. That’s according to a University of Michigan study. Non-moving activities are more popular. The costs “include overweight, greater stress, higher rates of physical and emotional illness and less joy, …” says Richard Louv, writer of Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder:
Play is important, even for adults. _________
Outdoor activity betters your senses.
The next time you sit down to message your friends, take note of your senses during and after your texting. Then do the same experiment after you’ve done something outside. You will find being outdoors brings the senses to life. “Hiking, exploring, and fishing help hone all of your senses,” says Betsy Keller. She’s a professor of exercise and sports sciences at Ithaca College in New York. “Smell, sight … all of your senses are in use when you’re outside.”
Outdoor play frees your mind.
Are you stressed out? Having trouble devoting your mind to what you’re doing? Too much time indoors— away from the natural world—may be a cause. Louv uses a term to describe the set of problems caused by too much time indoors: nature deficit disorder. He says, “I use it to describe the price we pay for being so separated from nature.”
Spending time outdoors brings you closer to the environment.
When you’re out, breathe in fresh air, hear the leaves crackle underfoot and search for cool birds and plants in the woods. It can help you feel more connected to the natural world. No woods nearby? Nature can be found right outside your back door or in your local park.
So the next time you sit down to spend quality (高质量的) time with a video game, consider treating yourself to a little outdoor play instead.
31. How does the writer first introduce the topic of outdoor play?
A. By showing the results of a recent study.
B. By introducing different kinds of outdoor play.
C. By inviting the reader to think about his or her own case.
D. By telling the reader outdoor play is good for body and mind.
32. According to the passage, what can be one of the results of spending more time indoors?
A. Improving eyesight. B. Reducing stress level.

B. Outdoor play helps to build relationships.

In the future, there may be more innovative (创新的) ways to experience music, such as 3D audio that makes the music feel like it’s all around us. 39
Finally, ____40__. Concerts and sports events may adopt more advanced technologies, like holographic performances or real-time virtual replays, to enhance the overall experience for the audience. This will open up new opportunities for both audiences and the entertainment industry.

第二节、回答问题(5小题,每小题2分,共10分)
On the subway, by the bus stop...we often see people watching micro-dramas on apps like Kuaishou and Douyin. These dramas have been on the rise over the past few years. In 2023, micro-dramas made more than 35 billion yuan, the same as 70 percent of the money made by China’s film industry, reported China Daily on Sep 27.
Chinese micro-dramas are also going strong around the world. Sensor Tower, a US company, said that over 40 apps for watching the dramas have entered the global (全球) market. By early 2024, these apps already had around 55 million downloads. One of them, ReelShort, has been downloaded more times than Netflix on the Apple Store in the US, reported Reuters.
International viewers (观众) find these micro-dramas exciting to watch, reported Xinhua. The stories are usually fast-paced (快节奏的) and have many surprising twists (转折). This keeps people’s attention and makes them fun, Liu Jinlong, head of the app Short TV, told Xinhua.
The short length of the dramas adds to their popularity. Each episode (集) may last from only tens of seconds to two minutes. People can finish a micro-drama in short periods of time, such as on their way to work.
Going forward, micro-dramas could open new doors for China’s cultural exports (输出), noted MIT Technology Review. However, one challenge to be solved is that many of them have similar themes. The dramas should cover more topics, not just the usual ones like time travel, Li Jiang, head of Dianzhong Tech, a company in Beijing, told China Daily.
Staying productive during school breaks can be a game-changer for teens. While rest is necessary, an unorganized break can lead to boredom and a shortage of fulfillment (成就感). Instead, balancing relaxation with productive activities can help teens make the most of their time off. In this guide, we will explore some ways teens can achieve the balance during their breaks, ensuring they return to school refreshed and ready to shine.
Setting Goals and Planning
One of the first steps to staying productive during a school break is setting clear and achievable goals. Goals give direction and purpose to daily activities.
Creating a daily timetable is useful. A timetable can help teens organize their days by allowing them to set different periods for different activities. Using tools like planners or digital apps can make it easier to stay organized and record progress.
Regularly reflecting (反思) on what has been achieved can be motivating. Teens should take time at the end of each day or week to review their progress and celebrate their achievements. Reflection helps teens not only build confidence but also make some changes to their plans.
Academic (学业的) Activities
Reading is a powerful way to stay productive while expanding knowledge and improving skills. Teens can choose a variety of reading materials to keep their minds active. Writing is another excellent way to stay productive and express creativity. Teens can keep diaries, write short stories, or even start a blog.
Personal Development
Learning new skills can be both exciting and productive. Whether it’s cooking or public speaking, it prepares teens for future challenges.
Staying physically active is important for overall well-being. Teens can join a sports team or explore the outdoors, which can lead to a healthy lifestyle.
Volunteer work in the community can be highly rewarding (有益的). It not only positively influences the community, but also helps teens develop a sense of responsibility.
Relaxation and Self-Care
Relaxation and self-care are very important. Practicing mindfulness, taking care of mental health and enjoying leisure (娱乐) activities can help teens get refreshed.
Balancing relaxation with productive activities is key to a fulfilling break. Encourage teens to listen to their needs and better their timetables accordingly, ensuring they have time for both productive tasks and leisure.
51. What can an unorganized break lead to?
52. How can teens make it easier to stay organized and record progress?
53. Why is volunteer work in the community highly rewarding?

Dear Mike,
I‘m glad to hear from you. Knowing that you are interested in Chinese culture, I’d like to strongly recommend a film to you. Its name is The Battle at Lake Changjin.
It is a war film about the Chinese People‘s Volunteer Army during the Korean War. The film tells the story of how our soldiers bravely fought against the enemy in freezing weather.
I recommend it for three main reasons. First, it shows the courage and strong will of the Chinese people. Second, it teaches us the great importance of peace and protecting our homeland. Last but not least, the film’s beautiful scenery and touching music are unforgettable.
I hope this film can give you a better understanding of China. Looking forward to your reply.

A
The 2026 hit movie Dear You has moved millions of viewers with its simple but powerful story.

C
C. Getting better social skills. D. Increasing risk of physical illness.
33. Which sentence can be put in the blank in Paragraph 5?
A. Just getting outdoors does wonders.
