At sunrise, we met the other 18 people wearing blue hats. My cousin gave me an eco-friendly (环保的) rubbish bag and pointed at the seagulls (海鸥) flying overhead. “Many of them often eat plastic (塑料) by mistake,” she said. As I picked up rubbish, I found colourful plastic pieces in the sand.

Dear Li Ming,
Do you have any plans for the weekend? The weather is sunny and fine these days. How about gathering our friends for a relaxing picnic at Greenwood Park this Sunday? You are good at organising activities, so I hope you can help me make this picnic fun and special!
There are many things for us to prepare. Here’s what I have in mind so far.
Spot (地点)
There is a big oak tree by the lake in the park—I think it is the perfect spot for our picnic.
Food
Each of us can bring some food and drinks. I’ll prepare homemade chicken sandwiches, fresh salads, and lemonade. Could you bring some snacks and desserts? The cookies you made last week were amazing—maybe you could make them again? Or we can make a food list together.
Activities
Music is necessary and we also need to prepare some fun games. Could you think about some games? The scenery there is beautiful, so I will take a camera. Then we can take many nice photos.
Could you come to my house to discuss the plans tomorrow night? After that, we can send out the invitations and get everything ready on Saturday.
Let me know what you think, Li Ming. Let’s make this picnic the highlight of our month!
Best regards,
Michael

根据空后的“And they advised us to hang out at night…they told us.” D选项“We also met some other tourists.”
根据空后的“There we learnt about some history and culture of the ancient Maritime Silk Road. There were a lot of old things on show…” C选项“The next morning, we visited a museum.”
根据空后的“We enjoyed watching the sandy beach and the clean, fresh sea. Walking along the shore…” A选项“After that, we went to the beach.”
根据空前的“Before leaving, we also went to the local stores to buy some gifts for our friends.” B选项“We bought some local products too.”

根据“Once... see my grandpa”,可知偶遇感到意外。
根据“It’s kinder than the truth”,可知这是好的行为。
根据“what you... the gift”可知,此处询问意见,需用think of“认为”;feel like“想要”、”look at看着”、pack up“打包”都不符合。
Until“直到”、“When当……

Best regards,
Michael
