Unit 2 We're Family! 家庭人物与所属关系表达知识梳理与巩固练习 一 先弄清谁是谁的家人 my father's brother 是我的叔叔或伯伯,英语都可称 uncle;my mother's sister 是 aunt。英语亲属词不必与汉语每一种辈分称呼逐一对应。 比较两句话:My aunt has a son. He is my cousin. / My parents have a son. He is my brother. 同样出现 son,关系不同,是因为前一句确定了不同的父母。 grandparents 指祖父母或外祖父母;grandchildren 是孙辈。描述家庭关系时要始终记住以谁为参照,不能看到 grandparents 就把所有孩子都叫 their children。 问 Who is the boy? 是询问人物身份;问 Whose book is this? 是询问书的主人。who 与 whose 只差几个字母,回答的内容却不同。 二 所属关系先确定主人 再添符号 一本书属于叔叔,可写 my uncle's book。属于两位叔叔时,先把主人写成 uncles,再在词尾 s 后加撇号:my uncles' books。撇号位置取决于主人,不取决于书的数量。 这条规则也适用于兄弟:my brother's two bats 中主人是一位兄弟;my brothers' bats 中主人不止一位。不能因为后面 bats 是复数,就一律写 brothers'。 两人共有同一个房间,把两人的姓名连起来后在最后加 's,如 Amy and May's room。题目必须先说明共有,不能只凭两个人名就判断所有物的数量。 回答物品归属时,已知的物品名称可省略。Whose violin is this? —It's my aunt's. 中 my aunt's 后省略 violin,撇号和 s 仍保留。 三 介绍外貌与介绍活动用不同谓语 He's quiet. 用 be 连接人物和性格;He has short hair. 用 has 表示具有;He reads every night. 用 reads 说明经常做的事。不能把后两句都套进 He is 。 由 I read 改成 My sister reads,动词要随主语变化。常见变化有 play plays,watch watches,study studies;have 的对应形式是 has。 但 my sister and I 指两个人,仍用 read、play、have。判断动词形式前,先读完整个主语。 谈家人的爱好 四 问爱好时 动词原形放在哪里 She likes reading. 改成一般疑问句时用 Does she like reading?。does 已经表示第三人称单数,like 不再带 s。不能写 Does she likes ?。 同一事实的否定句是 She doesn't like reading.。实义动词句用 doesn't,不写 She isn't like reading.;但 She isn't quiet. 这样的 be 句无需加 doesn't。 简答与问句开头相照应:Does your uncle play tennis? —Yes, he does.;Is your uncle tall? —Yes, he is.。不能看到主语都是 uncle,就认为两题回答相同。 五 把爱好与花费时间说具体 likes reading 表示喜欢阅读;spends an hour reading 表示花一小时阅读。前者说明爱好,后者补充时间,不能把 spend 后的 reading 改成 to read。 比较:My aunt spends an hour on her garden. / My aunt spends an hour gardening. 前句 on 后接名词,后句直接接活动的 -ing 形式。 play the piano、play the violin、play the erhu 中用乐器名称;play ping-pong、play Chinese chess 中用运动或棋类名称。说明做得好,可把 well 放在活动表达后,如 My cousin plays the erhu well.。 make laugh 表示“使……发笑”。句子 My brother often makes us laugh. 中,makes 与 brother 对应;laugh 是 make 后的动词原形,不受 brother 的单数影响。 六 介绍合照时 位置与活动各说清楚 on the left、on the right、in the middle 可用来帮助读者定位照片中的人物。先说人在哪里,再说这个人的特点或爱好,代词才有明确指向。 例:The girl on the left is my cousin. She has long hair. She loves music and plays the piano every day. The boy next to her is my brother. He likes reading. 这段的 her 指女孩;最后的 He 指男孩。如果跳过人物介绍直接写 He 、She ,读者就无法知道谈的是谁。 给家庭照片配文,不必罗列每位家人的所有信息。选清楚的身份、一个外貌特点和一项有依据的活动即可;各句的 be、have、实义动词形式分别核对。 巩固练习 一 根据关系或归属填写 1. My mother's brother is my . 2.
