Before you choose a job, it is best to think about your personality as well as your goals. 在选择一份工作之前,最好既考虑你的目标,也考虑你的性格。 (1) it's + 形容词 + to do sth. 做某事是…的 句中的 it 为形式主语,真正的主语是后面的动词不定式(短语)。因为真正的主语较长,而谓语部分相对较短,所以用 it 作形式主语以避免“头重脚轻”。 I think it's important to sleep eight hours a day. 拓展: It's + 形容词(描述事物特征,如 easy, difficult, necessary 等)+ for sb.. to do sth.. 对某人来说,做某事是…的。 It's + 形容词(描述人物性格、品质,如 kind, nice, clever 等)+ of sb.. to do sth.. 某人做某事是…的。 It's important for me to learn a foreign language and it's nice of you to help me. (2) think about 思考,思索;认为 其后可跟名词、代词或动词 -ing 形式等。 He is thinking about a problem. The plan is reasonable. Please think about it. He is thinking about visiting his parents. 拓展: think over 仔细考虑 think of 想起;认为 Let me think it over. I can't think of his name right now. 注意: 当 think of 意为“想起”时,不能与 think about 互换。当 think of 意为“认为”时,可与 think about 互换。 I can't think of that thing. What do you think of/about the film? 2. I want to come over to your house to see your parents. My mother gets up early (in order) to cook breakfast for me. = My mother gets up early in order that/so that she can cook breakfast for me. (2) come true 实现 其主语通常是梦想、愿望等,其后不能跟宾语 Her dream came true. 拓展: achieve v. 实现 其主语通常是人,其宾语为梦想、愿望等 She achieved her dream. Integration 1. Some parts of your personality are passed on to you by your parents. 你的性格中的某些部分是由父母遗传给你的。 pass sth. on (to sb.) 传递给(某人) The old craftsman passed the paper-cutting skills on to the young people. I read the note and passed it on to my deskmate. 拓展: pass sth. to sb. = pass sb. sth. 把某物递给某人 Please pass the salt to me. = Please pass me the salt. 2.
