Spring is a time to enjoy West Lake Longjing tea. Usually, we think of workers picking tea leaves by hand. But now, some Longjing tea is being picked by metal workers—tea-picking robots!
In a Hangzhou tea garden, a smart tea-picking robot developed by Zhejiang Sci-Tech University set to work for the first time. “We took thousands of pictures of new tea buds (芽) and fed them to the robot for it to learn. The robot uses an AI model to recognize (识别) the buds it needs to pick,” said Professor Chen Jianneng. This lets the robot find the right tea buds about 90 percent of the time.
The robot’s arm pulls and then sucks (吸) up the tea buds. These buds are quickly moved into a special box. After the robot puts all the buds together from the area it’s working at, it moves the buds from the box to a main box that holds everything it collects.
The robot was made because there are not enough people to pick tea. In Zhejiang, about 400,000 more pickers are needed now. “Picking is a great difficulty for the tea industry (产业),” said Professor Wu Chuanyu.
To better help with tea picking, there is still some room for improving the robots. For example, telling the differences between tea buds is one. Some tea buds look quite similar. Tea buds are also very close to each other. The weather also affects (影响) them. All these things make it hard for the robot to pick the right ones and pick them well.
“However, using tea-picking robots is a trend (趋势) of the future,” said Wu. “About five years from now, the robots will do the job of picking Longjing tea instead of people,” Wu added.
31.How can the robot find the right tea buds?
A.By tasting the tea buds. B.By using an AI model.
C.By working with a human team. D.By taking photos of the buds.
32.What is Paragraph 3 mainly about?
A.How the robot works. B.What boxes the robot has.
C.Which tea buds are useful. D.When the robot moves tea buds.
33.What problem is the tea industry facing?
A.The need for more tea gardens. B.The fact of being short of pickers.
C.The high price of tea-picking robots. D.The differences between tea buds.
34.What can we learn from Paragraph 5?
A.Tea buds look different from each other. B.Human workers are better at tea-picking.
C.Weather has nothing to do with tea-picking. D.The robots may be better in the future.
35.According to Wu, what will happen to West Lake Longjing tea?
A.People will not enjoy Longjing tea in Spring.
B.Robots can help smell the tea in the near future.
C.There may be fewer human pickers five years later.
D.Robots will do the job in all parts of the tea industry.

Should middle school students spend time doing housework? Some people say no. They think students only need to focus on studying. They believe homework and exams are more important than cleaning rooms or washing dishes. But others disagree. They think doing housework is good for students in many ways. In my opinion, middle school students should help with housework.
First, doing housework teaches students responsibility. When students take turns to wash the dishes or take out the trash, they learn to care for their family and home. They understand that everyone in the family should do their part, not just their parents. This helps them grow into responsible people.
Second, housework teaches practical life skills. No one can depend on others forever. When students learn to fold clothes or cook simple meals, they get skills they will need when they live alone later. These skills are as useful as math or English skills in daily life.
Finally, doing housework can help students relax. Studying for hours can make students tired and stressed. Doing some easy housework, like wiping the table or watering plants, lets their brains rest. It is a good break from books and homework.
Some may say students are too busy with schoolwork. But housework doesn’t have to take much time. Even 15 to 20 minutes a day is enough. Middle school students should help with housework—it makes them responsible, teaches useful skills, and helps them relax.
36.Why do some people think students don’t need to do housework?
A.They think housework is too hard for students.
B.They think housework takes too much time.
C.They think parents can do all the housework.
D.They think students should focus on studying.
37.What does the underlined word “responsibility” in Paragraph 2 probably mean?
A.The feeling of being happy. B.The duty to do something.
C.The interest in doing things. D.The ability to learn fast.
38.Which of the following is NOT a reason why students should do housework?
A.It teaches students practical life skills.
B.It helps students relax from studying.
C.It makes students get better grades in exams.
D.It teaches students to be responsible.
39.What’s the writer’s attitude towards students doing housework?
A.Necessary. B.Boring. C.Unhappy. D.Tiring.
40.What can we infer from the passage?
A.Doing housework will make students fail exams.
B.Students need 1 hour a day to do housework.
C.Housework helps students prepare for future life.
D.No students like to do housework after school.

It’s good for kids to do some chores at home. In many families, parents often ask their kids to do what they can do. First, they tell them how to do chores. Then, they ask their kids to learn from them. If they often practice doing so, they can do better and better.
Sometimes parents give their kids some money as a prize. In that way, the kids understand they can earn money through hard work.
But now in China, most families have only one kid. They don’t want their kids to do any chores. They think kids should try hard to get good grades, and doing chores is a waste of time. So most kids don’t know how to do chores and don’t want to do them. But after they get into the high school, they’re too busy to have time to do chores. So they should learn to help parents to do something at their early age.

根据“First, doing housework teaches students responsibility.”;“Second, housework teaches practical life skills.”以及“Finally, doing housework can help students relax.”

根据“David’s wife and children didn’t prepare...”
“decide to do sth.” 故填to prepare。
根据“David had no idea”以及“his family prepared for him”可知,这里是说不知道家人准备了什么,用what引导宾语从句,在从句中作宾语,故填what。
根据“David was so...”
根据“...last day of their trip”可知,这里是特指他们旅行的最后一天,要用定冠词the,故填the。
根据“a photo of...”
根据“David was so touched... he realized that his family was especially important to him”可知,空后是结果,所以用“so...that...”
根据“started”可知,“start to do sth.” 或“start doing sth.” 故填to spend/spending。
根据“...wasn’t just about giving his family what they needed”可知,空处在句中作主语,所以用动名词,be的动名词形式是being,故填being。

76.They went hiking last vacation 77.I ate Steamed Pot Chicken 78.It was great 79.Could you please sweep the floor 80.Could you please help move the furniture
根据“What did they do last vacation?” They went hiking last vacation。
77.根据“Did you eat anything special?” 故填I ate Steamed Pot Chicken。
78.根据“How was your holiday?” 故填It was great。
79.根据“OK, Mum. I’ll do it at once.”和图片可知,此处妈妈让孩子去扫地;“Could you please do sth.” Could you please sweep the floor。
80.根据“No problem, Dad.”和图片以及后一句“The movers are coming.”可知,此处是爸爸让孩子帮忙搬家具;“Could you please do sth.”用于请求,“help do sth.” Could you please help move the furniture。

At home, I learned to wash clothes and cook simple meals. Though tough at first, I can take care of myself and become more independent than before.

A.The feeling of being happy. B.The duty to do something.

The long summer holiday is like a colorful symphony. During this summer vacation, I did many meaningful things this summer vacation, and I’m glad to share them.
I visited a mountain village with my family and the amazing scenery, which took my breath away. Talking with locals and tasting fresh fruits deepened my love for nature. At home, I learned to wash clothes and cook simple meals. Though tough at first, I can take care of myself and become more independent than before. For the new term, I make a plan to read English daily, finish homework on time and join a science club.
All in all, this vacation widened my eyes and helped me grow. I’m ready for the new term.

for the first time."We took thousands of pictures of new tea buds (and fed them to the robot for it to learn. The
robot uses an AI model to recognize (the buds it needs to pick,"said Professor Chen Jianneng. This lets the

robot find the right tea buds about 90 percent of the time.
The robot's arm pulls and then sucks()up the tea buds. These buds are quickly moved into a special box.

After the robot puts all the buds together from the area it's working at,it moves the buds from the box to a main
box that holds everything it collects.
The robot was made because there are not enough people to pick tea.In Zhejiang, about 400,000 more
pickers are needed now.“Picking is a great difficulty for the tea industry(产业),”said Professor Wu Chuanyu.
To better help with tea picking, there is still some room for improving the robots. For example, telling the
differences between tea buds is one. Some tea buds look quite similar.Tea buds are also very close to each other.
The weather also affects (them. All these things make it hard for the robot to pick the right ones and pick
them well.
"However, using tea-picking robots is a trend of the future,"said Wu."About five years from now,
the robots will do the job of picking Longjing tea instead of people,"Wu added.

dishes. But others disagree. They think doing housework is good for students in many ways.In my opinion,
middle school students should help with housework.
First, doing housework teaches students responsibility. When students take turns to wash the dishes or take
out the trash, they learn to care for their family and home. They understand that everyone in the family should do
their part, not just their parents. This helps them grow into responsible people.
Second, housework teaches practical life skills. No one can depend on others forever. When students learn
to fold clothes or cook simple meals, they get skills they will need when they live alone later. These skills are as
useful as math or English skills in daily life.
Finally, doing housework can help students relax.Studying for hours can make students tired and stressed.
Doing some easy housework, like wiping the table or watering plants, lets their brains rest.It is a good break from
books and homework
Some may say students are too busy with schoolwork. But housework doesn't have to take much time.Even
15 to 20 minutes a day is enough.Middle school students should help with housework-it makes them responsible,
teaches useful skills, and helps them relax.

A.It teaches students practical life skills
B.It helps students relax from studying.
