"True beauty comes from within—from confidence, kindness, and self-love." —Oprah Winfrey (奥普拉·温弗瑞,著名主持人) "The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, but in her eyes and heart." —Audrey Hepburn(奥黛丽·赫本,传奇演员) "I’m not here to be perfect, I’m here to be real." —Lady Gaga(Lady Gaga,歌手) "People who are confident and kind are perceived as more attractive, regardless of their physical appearance."(哈佛研究表明,自信和善良的人会被认为更有魅力,无论他们的外貌如何。) "In the long term, personality traits like honesty and humor matter more than looks in relationships and careers." (长期来看,在人际关系和职业发展中,诚实、幽默等性格特质比外貌更重要。) What can we learn from the passage? We should accept ourselves, even our “imperfections”, like Sally did with her birthmark. A small act of kindness, like Maddie’s words, can boost someone’s confidence. Our uniqueness (like Sally’s birthmark) is what makes us memorable and beautiful. Don’t judge people by their looks—real beauty comes from within. ... Language Points 1.
