第一课时 Section A(1a－1d) & Pronunciation 1、 Teaching Objectives In this class，students will： 1．be able to ask questions about others. 2．pronounce the sounds /iː/，/ɪ/，/e/ and /æ/ correctly and learn the letter groups that stand for these sounds. 2、 Teaching Advice Lead-in Look and Say 1．Present the theme picture and ask students to answer the questions on Page 19.Then，invite different students to answer the questions and give feedback. 2．The teacher can ask more questions about the theme picture. ◆Do you think the students in the picture know each other？How do you know? ◆What might the boy and the girl say to get to know each other？ Pre-listening 1a 1．Ask students to tick the expressions they know. 2．Have students read the expressions and make sure they know the meanings. 3．Ask questions to help students understand when people use these expressions.For example： ◆What do we say when we meet people? ◆What do we say if we want to know someone's name? ◆What do we say when we want to know what class a student is in? 4．Tell students that these expressions are usually used when people meet each other for the first time.The teacher can also add more expressions for them. While-listening 1b 1．Ask students to look at the two pictures in 1b and tell the relationships of the people in the pictures. 2．Have students listen to two conversations and number the pictures in the order they hear. 3．Check the answers and ask who the people in each picture are. 1c 1．Ask students to read the sentences in 1c and circle the key information to focus on during the listening activity. 2．Let students listen to the conversations again and circle the coloured words they hear.Then，check the answers. 3．Show students the listening scripts.Ask them to read and summarize how the people get to know each other and what expressions they use. The tasks designed to help students learn how to interact with others，such as the group activities and listening exercises，were quite effective. However，I noticed two main issues. First，many students struggled to pronounce the vowel sounds accurately. Second，some had difficulty understanding and using the new expressions during conversations.To solve these problems，I'll add more pronunciation practice in future classes，like individual pronunciation checks and pronunciation games.For new expressions，I'll use more real­life examples to make them easier to understand，and give students more time to practise using them in different situations. 学科网（北京）股份有限公司 $
