前文说“We look different.”,作者说自己有点胖,与之对应Lisa应是很瘦(slim),A、C、D 项与体型无关。
根据后文“her smile makes everyone happy”可知,Lisa总是微笑(smiles)。
根据后文“I am shy...But Lisa is very outgoing.”

Relationships with your siblings (兄弟姐妹) can help you practice social skills. Having a good relationship with them can help you communicate with other people, and understand other people’s feelings. You can even learn things when you don’t get on with your siblings. When you have argued with them, you have to work out how to be in the same space as them. As a result, you often learn how to accept differences. It is very useful in the outside world.
It’s completely normal (正常的) that sometimes you and your sibling won’t see eye to eye. “Have a good think about why the two of you don’t get on. Try to talk when you both cool down,’’ says Dr Owen, a researcher in how children develop. “Tell them how you feel. You could say, ‘It really hurts me when you make jokes about me.’ If the trouble carries on, talk to a trusted adult (成年人).”
All families are different. What if you are the only kid and don’t have siblings? That doesn’t mean you won’t experience the advantages (好处) people get from having a brother or sister. There are ways to help only children develop these skills too.

Have you ever argued with someone because you said “You always make me angry”? There might be a better way to talk. Communication experts suggest using “I-Statements” to express feelings without blaming (责怪) others.
An “I-Statement” has three parts:
1.I feel…(State your emotion clearly)
2.When…(Describe the specific situation)
3.Because…(Explain the effect it has on you)
Example:
·Instead of (Blaming): “You are so careless. You never listen.”
·Try (I-Statement): “I feel upset when I’m interrupted during homework because I lose my focus and it takes me longer to finish.”
Blaming (“You-statements”) makes people defensive. They want to argue back. “I-Statements” focus on your own experience. They sound less like an attack and more like an invitation to understand. This doesn’t mean you always get what you want, but it opens the door for a calmer, more respectful conversation.
Using “I-Statements” is a skill. It takes practice. Next time you’re upset, try to pause and form an “I-Statement” in your mind. You might be surprised at how differently the other person responds.
27.What is the main advantage (好处) of using “I-Statements”?
A.They help you win every argument.
B.They allow you to express feelings without blaming.
C.They make the other person feel guilty quickly.
D.They are shorter and easier to remember than other sentences.
28.Which of the following is a correct “I-Statement”?
A.You are so noisy when I’m reading!
B.I feel angry because you are always late.
C.I feel disappointed when our team loses because we all practiced hard.
D.Why can’t you clean your room? It’s always a mess!
29.What should you do first when forming an “I-Statement” according to the structure?
A.Describe what the other person did wrong.
B.Clearly state your own feeling.
C.Explain why the situation is bad.
D.Give an order or suggestion.
30.What is the writer’s main purpose in writing this passage?
A.To tell a funny story about communication failures.
B.To teach a good way for better communication.
C.To complain about how people don’t know how to talk.
D.To compare different languages around the world.
根据“Communication experts suggest using “I-Statements” to express feelings without blaming (责怪) others.”
根据“An “I-Statement” has three parts: 1. I feel…(State your emotion clearly) 2. When…(Describe the specific situation) 3. Because…(Explain the effect it has on you)”可知,选项C“当我们的队伍输了的时候我感到很失望因为我们都努力过了。”符合“I-Statements”。故选C。
根据“An “I-Statement” has three parts: 1. I feel…(State your emotion clearly) 2. When…(Describe the specific situation) 3. Because…(Explain the effect it has on you)”可知,第一步应该是陈述自己的情绪。故选B。

When we choose a house, we all want to have nice neighbours, because most of us think that they are helpful to our life. But what kind of neighbour is good? The answers are different from person to person. Here are my answers.
First, it is very important to respect (尊重) each other. If our neighbour always wants to know more about our life, how will we feel? He or she may also talk with others about our life. Do you want to live with him or her? The answer is “No”. We will feel very annoyed at having this kind of neighbour and move away quickly.
Next, a good neighbour is always ready to give us a hand when we are in need. For example, if we are not at home, our good neighbours will help us take care of the pets.

There are four friends at a restaurant. They’re waiting for a fifth friend who is already 20 minutes late. They want to know if (是否) he will say “sorry” for being late. After another five minutes, he finally arrives.
However, he doesn’t say “sorry”when he arrives. To their surprise, he simply says, “Hey, thanks for waiting.” The others say “You are welcome” and then they open their menus and start to order food. Life goes on and all is fine.
Canadian sociologist (社会学家) Maja Jovanovic tells this story in a TED speech. In her speech, Jovanovic says that sometimes we should say “thank you” instead of “sorry”. For example, you are feeling sad about something, and you’re talking about it with a friend for long. You might say “Thank you for listening” but not “Sorry for talking too much”. Sometimes, “Thank you” can sound better than“sorry”.
24.How late is the fifth friend?

D
Finally, a good neighbour should love the environment. He or she never throws rubbish here and there, because the good environment can make us comfortable and happy.
I think we all should learn to be a good neighbour, and build a friendly community together!
