Step 2 Work on 1a 1.Let the students look at the pictures in 1a and match the school subjects in the box with the pictures.Some subjects are extra. 2.Check the answers. 3.Ask some students to read the school subjects. Step 3 Work on 1b-1c 1.Play the recording for the first time.Ask the students to listen and tick the subjects Ella and Peter talk about in 1b. 2.Play the recording again and ask the students to circle the coloured words they hear in 1c. 3.Check the answers. 4.Ask the students to practise the conversations in pairs. Step 4 Work on 1d 1.Ask the students to make up conversations using the examples in 1d. 2.Invite some volunteers to act out their conversations.
