The cold water made him scared. He kept waving his arms and kicking his legs wildly, shouting and trying his best to get out of the icy water. People were afraid that stepping on the thin ice would make it break even more. Just then,13-year-old Li Jiating rode past on her electric bike. When she saw the boy struggling in the icy water, she rushed over without thinking. “I’m light—Let me help!” she shouted. She lay flat on the ice to spread her weight, then took a long plastic pipe from a man nearby. She handed the pipe to the boy and told him to hold it tightly. But just as she pulled the boy up a little, a loud noise was heard—the ice under her body broke. Li fell into the cold water too, but she still held the pipe tightly with both hands to stop the boy from going down deeper. Luckily, people quickly pulled Li out first. Soon after, firefighters arrived with tools and saved the boy successfully. Li was wet and shaking, yet she left without a word. She even hid her wet clothes into her bike basket in order not to worry her parents. The boy’s family was really grateful and wanted to thank Li. They posted search notices online. On December 17, one of Li’s relatives read the story and recognized (认出) her. When the boy’s family offered her a reward of some money, she refused it politely and only took a box of milk. “I just wanted to help him,” she said softly. Li’s brave act has warmed millions of people’s hearts. Many people call her “the light of life in winter” —a young girl who changed a cold, dangerous moment into a story of hope. 31.What do you think of Li Jiating? A.Shy and quiet. B.Kind and hard-working. C.Careful and honest. D.Brave and warm-hearted. 32.The underlined word “struggling” probably means ________. A.fighting wildly B.playing happily C.swimming slowly D.floating safely 33.Which is the correct order of the whole event? ①Li lay on the ice and used a pipe to pull the boy. ②Li saw the boy struggling hard in the cold ice hole. ③Li fell into the water but still held the pipe tightly. ④Li left the scene quietly after the boy was saved. A.①→②→③→④ B.②→①→③→④ C.②→③→①→④ D.①→③→②→④ 34.Why did Li Jiating refuse money and only accept milk? A.She felt shy to accept the money. B.She thought the money was not enough. C.She preferred milk to money as a reward. D.She helped because of kindness, not for money. 35.What is the best title for the passage? A.The Ways of Safety B.The Danger of the Lake C.The Light of Life in Winter D.The Helplessness of Adults 【答案】31.D 32.A 33.B 34.D 35.C 【导语】本文是一篇记叙文,讲述了2025年12月一个寒冷的下午,宁夏吴忠一名4岁男孩掉入冰窟,13岁女孩李佳婷勇敢施救,最终男孩获救,李佳婷婉拒报酬只收一盒牛奶的感人故事,展现了人性的温暖与善良。 根据文章第二段“When she saw the boy struggling in the icy water, she rushed over without thinking.” 根据文章第一段“The cold water made him scared. He kept waving his arms and kicking his legs wildly, shouting and trying his best to get out of the icy water.” 故选A。 33. 根据文章第二段“When she saw the boy struggling in the icy water, she rushed over without thinking. She lay flat on the ice to spread her weight, then took a long plastic pipe from a man nearby. She handed the pipe to the boy and told him to hold it tightly. But just as she pulled the boy up a little, a loud noise was heard—the ice under her body broke. Li fell into the cold water too, but she still held the pipe tightly with both hands”以及第三段“Li was wet and shaking, yet she left without a word.” 根据文章第四段“When the boy’s family offered her a reward of some money, she refused it politely and only took a box of milk. ‘I just wanted to help him,’ she said softly.” 根据文章最后一段“Many people call her ‘the light of life in winter’ —a young girl who changed a cold, dangerous moment into a story of hope.” C。 C In the last century, differnet natural disasters have robbed several cultural heritage(遗产) from us. On WeChat, some people say, “What a pity that we cannot see the damaged parts of the wonders anymore.” But people can see them in a new way---through a video game. In this game, the player can travel to one city after another and enter the buildings exactly like they are in reality, and see the wonders as they were before the fire. Maybe digital technology(数字技术) could help protect cultural heritage better. This idea dates back to the 1990s and the necessary technology has continued to develop since then. By scanning(扫 描) the ancient buildings, building 3D models, as well as measuring everything, engineers can make a copy exactly as the real one. As computers and smart phones are popular, the digital copy has great value. First, it allows tourists to feel the cultural heritage without touching them, which helps protect them. The virtual tour of Dunhuang Grottoes(敦煌石窟) is a good example of this as tourists can view the paintings without standing near them. Second, it can make the cultural heritage more famous by spreading information about them through the internet. In 2000, a virtual tour of the Dunhuang Grottoes became very popular at the Hannover World Expo, which increased the number of foreign tourists visiting the site in the following years. Last, it stores all the information of the cultural heritage. Even if the real ones are damaged one day, people can still know what they were like and can build a new one if wanted. Of course, however exact a model, it is not the real one. Maybe we will have better technologies in the future, but the digital technology offers a practical way to protect cultural heritage at the moment. 36.We can see the damaged parts of those wonders . A.by entering the buildings B.by creating another copy C.by spreading information D.through a video game 37.Which is the correct order of digitalizing ancient buildings according to the passage? ① Build 3D models. ② Scan the ancient buildings. ③ Make a copy exactly as the real one. ④ Measure everything. A.②①④③ B.③①②④ C.①②④③ D.②③①④ 38.The writer uses the example of Dunhuang in Paragragh 3 and 4 to . A.show the writer is really interested in travelling to Dunhuang B.prove people can build a new one if the real ones are damaged C.show Dunhuang Grottoes are disappearing because of the disaster D.prove computers and phones makes digital copies more valuable 39.What is the writer’s attitude(态度) towards the digital technology? A.Doubt. B.Confident. C.Critical D.Unclear. 40.What is the best title of the passage? A.The cultural heritage. B.Dunhuang Grottoes. C.Digital technology could help. D.How can we see the damaged parts? 由文中“But people can see them in a new way---through a video game.” 由文中“By scanning(扫 描) the ancient buildings, building 3D models, as well as measuring everything, engineers can make a copy exactly as the real one.” 由文中“As computers and smart phones are popular, the digital copy has great value.” Doubt. The cultural heritage. 敦煌石窟; Digital technology could help. How can we see the damaged parts? D ①Historically, people explored (探索) the ocean to travel or to start new trade lines. Today, ocean exploration centers on the ocean itself. ②Recently, new technology has made it easier to dive into the deep sea. Better submarines (潜水艇), robots and cameras allow scientists to explore areas people couldn’t reach before. China’s Mengxiang deep-ocean drilling vessel (钻井船) is among the list. ③This vessel, with the world’s deepest record, can reach up to 11,000 metres below the sea surface. It can help us better understand, protect and make use of the ocean. ④ ★ Believe it or not, we know more about space than the deep sea. Since 1969, twelve people have walked on the moon, but only three have dived to the Mariana Trench’s (马里亚纳海沟) deepest point. Although the ocean covers about 71 per cent of the earth’s surface, 95 per cent of it is unexplored. ⑤Why does so much of the ocean remain unknown? Part of the answer is that it’s difficult to explore. Sure, it’s hard to get a spaceship into space. But it’s also not a fun afternoon swim to get a person to the bottom of the ocean. A trip to the Mariana Trench, for example, would feel like 50 giant planes were piled on top of you. And remember that in space, you can see things. The deep sea, however, is hopelessly dark. Getting a light down there that can shine far enough to see anything is no easy task. ⑥However, ocean exploration is worth the risk and cost. The ocean influences all of us. It plays a role in everything from the air we breathe, the food we eat and the transportation of the goods we buy to weather and long-term climate changes. 41.How does the writer start the topic? A.By doing a survey. B.By making a comparison.(比较) C.By asking a question. D.By showing a study. 42.Which of the following can be put into ★ in paragraph 4? A.Humans actually don’t know much about the ocean. B.Humans have different ways to explore the ocean. C.Humans have done a lot to explore the deep ocean. D.Humans actually know nothing about the deep ocean. 43.Why does the writer mention space in the text? A.To prove the interest of ocean exploration. B.To show the necessity of space exploration. C.To show the difficulty of ocean exploration D.To prove the importance of space exploration. 44.What can we know from the passage? A.More people will dive to the deep sea than will step on the moon. A.The Ways of Safety B.The Danger of the Lake C.The Light of Life in Winter D.The Helplessness of Adults C In the last century, differnet natural disasters have robbed several cultural heritage(遗产) from us. B.Humans will learn all about the ocean in the near future. C.Giant planes will make it easier to dive deep into the sea. D.To know more about the ocean, there is a long way to go. 45.Which of the following can show the structure of the passage? A.Doubt. B.Confident. C.Critical D.Unclear. 40.What is the best title of the passage? A.The cultural heritage. B.Dunhuang Grottoes. C.Digital technology could help. D.How can we see the damaged parts? B.Humans will learn all about the ocean in the near future. C.Giant planes will make it easier to dive deep into the sea. D.To know more about the ocean, there is a long way to go. 45.Which of the following can show the structure of the passage? I’m a Grade 9 student who is quiet and careful. My favorite color is green, for it stands for hope. I love reading and long-distance running in my free time. Last term, I failed my English exam badly and felt hopeless. I faced the big difficulty of poor vocabulary and weak listening. Instead of giving up, I made a daily plan: memorize 20 words every morning and listen to English materials for half an hour each night. I also took notes carefully in class and asked teachers for advice actively. Slowly, my grades improved greatly. This experience teaches me that growth never comes easily. As long as we face troubles bravely and keep trying, we will become a better version of ourselves.
