Activity 3 Report your group work to your class and share your poster about the changes around you.
Great changes have taken place in people’s living conditions.
In the past, many people lived in small and crowded old houses. Their rooms were not big. Streets were narrow. Life was not very comfortable.
But now everything is different. More people move into bright and big modern apartments. The new houses have large windows. Around the buildings, there are beautiful gardens and clean roads. People have more space and better living environment.
We are living a much happier life now.

How do people communicate with each other in the information era? Well, first, it’s kind of strange. We can have a whole conversation with someone without actually talking. For example, we can send a message with just a look, a touch, or even a smile. And then, there’s texting and social media. With them, we can share our thoughts and feelings without saying a word out loud. It seems that we are creating a whole new language. And we can connect with each other in so many different ways, even when we’re not in the same room. Isn’t it amazing? But sometimes, I wonder if we’re really saying what we mean. Or even worse, we’re probably just hiding behind the screens and symbols, receiving false information instead of really talking to someone.
