Just by typing a few keywords and waiting a few seconds, a picture comparable to that painted by a human artist appears on screen. In some paintings created by AI, an elderly woman can become a graceful animated image, and pets can be turned into adorable cartoon girls or boys. Ordinary people without any painting skills can be the possessors of wonderful artworks with just a few taps on the keyboard.
However, new things are always accompanied by controversy (争议). Issues such as whether AI art generators will replace human artists, and the copyrights on AI paintings are being hotly debated.
Huang Ge, an illustrator from Shanghai, said that it usually takes several hours or days to complete one illustration. But with AI art generators, the efficiency is greatly improved. Ding Jiao, a comic artist, considers the popularity of AI art generators reasonable as many people who are not good at drawing can create great works through them and they can satisfy users' curiosity.
So is AI painting gradually replacing human painting? In the hot topic “Using a picture to prove that human artists will never be replaced by AI” online, many netizens uploaded their paintings to prove that humans are better than AI.
“Though AI technology has developed rapidly, AI cannot replace humans as it can just copy human behavior. The warmth and inspiration in human creations are irreplaceable,” said Ding Daoshi, an independent analyst in the Internet sector.
Another controversial issue is that there is no consensus (共识) on who owns the copyright of AI art. Some users have openly sold their AI paintings and have earned money, but it is still a gray area about whether these artworks belong to the users, the digital tool developers or even AI. Ding Daoshi noted that the various sides should get together to debate the issue and come up with some accepted rules as soon as possible, because AI is already involved deeply into the lives of human beings.
1.What can ordinary people achieve with AI art generators in a few seconds?
A.Sell their paintings for huge profits.
B.Replace professional artists completely.
C.Create impressive artworks without drawing ability.
D.Learn and practice more advanced painting techniques.
2.What is Ding Daoshi's attitude toward AI replacing human artists?
A.AI lacks commercial value.
B.Human creativity and warmth are irreplaceable.
C.AI will soon take the place of humans completely.
D.AI is far more excellent than humans in all aspects.
3.What does the underlined phrase “a gray area” in paragraph 6 probably mean?
A.A dark shadow. B.A colorful picture.
C.A hidden place. D.An unclear situation.
4.Which of the following can be the best title for the text?
A.The End of Human Artists
B.AI Art: Fast, Fun and Perfect
C.How to Sell AI Paintings Online
D.AI Art Generators: Innovation and Controversy

The city of Boston announced recently a major, citywide campaign to reimagine public art. The Un-Monument initiative has received a donation of $3 million from the Mellon Foundation.
The initiative aims to bring residents, artists and groups together to rethink the form and function of public art across the city. “It isn't always easy to bring new things into public space,” said Kara Elliott-Ortega, Boston's Chief of Arts and Culture. “Not just because there might be needless and time-consuming procedures, but because there're spaces that are thought of as kind of frozen in time in a historic way.”
Elliott-Ortega said they would take advantage of the funding to engage in dialogues with people about the creation of public art through temporary installations, free public events and interactive cultural experiences. “We're focused on unpacking what kinds of monuments (纪念碑) we want to have in Boston going forward, what they mean to us, what stories are missing,” said Elliott-Ortega.
Boston is one of nine U.S. cities to receive funding from the Mellon Foundation. Its president Elizabeth Alexander said, “Regarding other public art, understanding and acceptance are necessary. At the end of this, I hope that the work goes on, with Mellon or with others, because the work of telling stories in public places is timeless work. So the right way is that the work continues in a way that recognizes us in all of our power and beauty.”
Victor “Marka27” Quiñonez is among the initial group of artists participating in Un-Monument. He's creating a large sculptural installation, “Elevar La Cultura”, composed of 30 to 40 plastic picnic coolers. “For the most part, people use coolers for leisure time—at celebrations, barbecues, and all those things,” said Quiñonez. The folk artist, who was born in Mexico, came to America as a child. “But for many immigrant (移民) cultures, the cooler is a way that people who come to this country are able to make an honest living for their families, selling fresh fruit, cooked food, whatever it may be.”
5.Which is the main challenge of reimagining public art in Boston?
A.People are attached to the past. B.There are not enough funds.
C.Residents show no interest in it. D.It's difficult to find top artists.
6.What will the funding be used to do?
A.Restore Boston's old public artworks.
B.Create public art suitable for Boston.
C.Organize more events to collect money.
D.Hire more artists to create modern art.
7.What is Alexander's hope for public art?
A.Increasing its quantity. B.Speeding up its progress.
C.Keeping it more traditional. D.Making it more inclusive.
8.What does the cooler symbolize for Quiñonez?
A.Immigrants' survival. B.Leisure activity.
C.A wealth symbol. D.An artistic tool.

be best-known for意为“因为……
dedicate oneself to...

The traditional Chinese folk art of New Year paintings之间为被动关系,应用过去分词作后置定语。
故填to decorate。
故填The。
故填is done。
8.have become/have been becoming 故填have become或have been becoming。
故填where。

根据第三段中的“Elliott-Ortega said they would take advantage of the funding to...the creation of public art through...interactive cultural experiences.”
根据第四段中的“I hope that the work goes on...So the right way...recognizes us in all of our power and beauty.”
