Scotland is a place with unique languages, sports and landscapes. The most interesting thing about this place is that there are hundreds of tiny islands off the mainland to explore, but the most popular places to visit are not the hills or island, they are the beautiful old castles. The Harry potter series was based on scotland city streets and buildings, and if you come to visit, you can see how similar they are to those in the books and movies. I moved here when I was twenty years old and started my own company within the first five years. My company now provides special tools for visitors. Instead of driving visitors around or taking a bus, I get tourists on bicycles to ride through the region. B On the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, there is a group of people regularly moving through the snowy mountains, lakes and pastures(牧场). They are doing one thing—picking up rubbish. They are from the “Beautiful Travel”, an organization founded by Shi Ning. In 2014, when he traveled alone from Dali to Lhasa, seeing amounts of rubbish along the road, he became shocked. Later, Shi Ning and his two companions discussed possible solutions to environmental problems. In 2015, they launched a series of campaigns(运动), starting from picking up rubbish along the highway in Xizang. Since then, more than 45 tons of deserted plastic bottles have been recycled thanks to the “Beautiful Travel”. If you piled these plastic bottles up, they would be about 25 times as high as Mount Qomolangma. However, it is difficult for rubbish transporters to run at high altitudes during rainy and snowy days, with the closure(封闭) of roads. They established rubbish pickup sites with the local government. Volunteers go to villages, towns and mountainous areas to collect rubbish and when the rubbish is piled up to 500 kg, trucks are sent to collect it. They also call on tourists and local residents to stop littering to protect the local biodiversity. The campaign involves about 30,000 tourists all the way. Volunteers sort out 20% recyclable rubbish and recycle it according to the local price. The remaining 80% non-recyclable rubbish will be handed over by volunteers to the municipal(市政的) waste removal department for further recycling. The T-shirts worn by the volunteers were made using recycled materials from the rubbish. Blue, representing the blue sky and our planet, is specially chosen for this organization. “It's like planting the seeds of civilization in people's hearts, and I believe that one day, they will sprout, forming a beautiful landscape,” Shi Ning said. 24.What inspired Shi Ning to found the “Beautiful Travel”? A.What he saw along the way. B.How he felt about Xizang. C.What the local people did. D.What his companions thought of Dali. 25.What might challenge the rubbish transporters according to the passage? A.The road conditions. B.The awful weather. C.The large amount of rubbish. D.The pressure from the government. 26.How do the volunteers deal with the rubbish they collected? A.By selling it. B.By reusing it. C.By handing it over to a related department. D.By dividing it into different types. 27.Which of the following can be the best title for this passage? A.The Cleaners of Our Nature B.The Protection of Local Biodiversity C.The Beautiful Travel to Xizang D.The Significance of Recycling Rubbish C Travel allows us to experience the world. But as we travel, we are also leaving our footprints in every place we visit, and the wrong kind of travel badly influences the world. This is why culturally immersive(沉浸式的) travel is so important. One of the reasons that we started this blog was to help others travel better and feel comfortable getting off the beaten path(不走寻常路), communicating with the locals, and take you “beyond the traditional bucket list”, if you will. People who only get 2 weeks off per year are often just looking for an easy destination with a beach to relax on. This isn't travel. This is a vacation. But “immersive travel” or “cultural travel” is an entirely new type of trip. It is about experiencing and protecting the various traditions around the world. It's about being open to new experiences and willing to step into others' shoes. Cultural travel is jumping in with both feet and leaving your idea about what your trip should be behind you. It's eating local dishes and sleeping in guest houses. It's building genuine connections with the locals. It's learning about the history of a country and finishing your trip with a greater understanding of the place you come to see and the people who live there. Oftentimes in today's age, “travelers” will visit a country just to snap the famous sights to post photos on Instagram or to drink the night away, or even to relax on a tropical beach. But that kind of vacation can be harmful to the very communities you're traveling to. Apart from supporting the local communities and the protection of local customs and traditions, you'll also experience some personal benefits through cultural travel. There's simply no way to travel this way with a closed mind. You'll get to know different cultures intimately and understand them a lot better. You'll also become less judgmental as you travel more. 28.What's the author's purpose in writing the first paragraph? A.To describe the importance of cultural travel. B.To stress the harmful influence of travel. C.To recommend a totally different type of travel. D.To express his unique feelings about cultural travel. 29.What can be inferred about the culturally immersive travel? A.It focuses on studying local people's lifestyle. B.Its major focus is protecting local traditions and customs. C.Its travelers should be open-minded and understanding. D.It is a specific way to make comments on other cultures. 30.What do today's travelers tend to do according to the author? A.Build close connections with the locals during the travel. B.Show more interest in the history of a travel destination. C.Post the photos taken on the journey on social media. D.Choose a tourist attraction for adventure and exploration. 31.Where is the text probably taken from? A.A travel brochure. B.A blog post. C.A history magazine. D.An encyclopedia website. D Teenagers' travelling around the world alone has been making the headlines quite often. A young person alone in a dangerous situation attracts attention. Young sailors also attract various views. For example, Jessica Watson was asked by the government to call off her solo trip across the ocean, yet the Prime Minister(总理) called her “a hero for young Australians” when she returned. It seems that views are poles apart on the ability and independence of young people. Some experts tell us that teenage brains are likely to make wrong judgments. But such ideas often do not apply to specific individuals(个体). Between the ages of 14 and 18, teenagers differ greatly in their abilities. The amount of independence that each is allowed should be determined not simply by their ages but by discussion with the related and responsible adults. Some teens are certainly inexperienced and make childish mistakes, but the ones who attempt dangerous journeys normally do so by winning the confidence of hard-headed and experienced adult supporters. But it's also wrong to think that any 16-year-old can make a hit as Jessica Watson. Watson calls herself “a common girl who has a dream”. Her purpose is to encourage teenagers but this idea can have the opposite effect of making them feel not good enough because great achievements are beyond them. Should all teens have such wild dreams? Actually, individuals face different conditions that limit their dreams.     Teenagers who travel around the world alone should not be judged by preconceived(先入为主的) views about young people. Nor should “common” teenagers come under pressure to long for extraordinary personal goals. In fact, I believe the example of solo sailing overstresses what an individual can do. The teenage years are when most of us “common” people learn that we can achieve great things in cooperation with others. 32.Why is Jessica Watson mentioned in the first paragraph? A.To set a heroic example to teenagers. B.To point out the public's interest in young people. C.To introduce different opinions on teenagers' adventures. D.To show the Prime Minister disagreed with the government. 33.What can determine the amount of teenagers' independence? A.Different journeys. B.Brain development. C.Communication with adults. D.Confidence in themselves. 34.What does the underlined part “a common girl who has a dream” mean? A.Watson likes dangerous journeys. B.Teenagers can achieve success. C.Watson can accept who she is. D.Teenagers should go travelling. 35.What's the author's attitude towards teenagers' act of travelling alone? A.Doubtful. B.Supportive. C.Uncaring. D.Neutral. 第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Travelling can be a positive and life-changing experience. 36 These simple and easy steps can make your trip a truly refreshing experience and you will return home with a fresh mind, ready to kick-start your routine work.     37     It is important to know why you want to travel. Is it for some adventures, relaxation or to experience new things? Once you understand that, you will get your direction or the next step. Budget (编入预算) for the trip, including making savings. Do you think you've got enough money in your pocket with which you can travel to your chosen place? 38 This can also help you decide when you want to start your trip—because you will only be able to make arrangements once you've saved enough.    Look for cheap travel deals. Even if you know you've saved enough, you still want to travel as cheaply as possible and save more, especially if you're travelling in a group, whether with your family or friends. So look for cheap travel deals over the Internet and you'll surely find a deal that suits your budget. Some deals even include hotel accommodation, transport, city tours, etc. 39      Travel with an open mind. 40 You may see delays, heavy traffic, a different culture, lifestyle, food, people, even a shortage of cash sometimes and other mistakes—this is all that travel is about—experiencing things from a new perspective(观点). Just remember that you're on a trip to enjoy yourself. So make the most of it.  A.Expect anything unexpected. B.Forget about the daily routine. C.Ask yourself the reason for travel. D.Saving should be your routine work in your daily life. E.If not, it's time to start saving now with a positive attitude. F.One good trick is to book flights as early as possible for discounts and special offers. G.If done right from the beginning, travelling can be a great combination of fun, adventures and relaxation. 36. 37. 38. 39. 40.     第三部分 语言运用(共两节,满分30分) 第一节(共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分) 阅读下面短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项。 My husband and I had been 41 a train trip and when we saw that Rocky Mountaineer was now offering a Colorado/Utah service, we made our 42 . The hotels that the company booked for us in Denver for night 1 and night 4 were great. They were in a 43 area, with an easy walk to places to eat, etc. Pickup from the hotels made our going and arrival very easy. Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge was probably the only 44 I had about the trip—it was a bit poor, and had no restaurant or bar. After a very early morning on day 1 (our luggage was picked up at 7 a.m.) and a long but beautiful day on the train, we were pretty 45 . All we wanted was a glass of wine and a few nibbles(点心), which were not 46 at the hotel so we had to 47 ourselves out and walk to another hotel for these. I 48 would never book that hotel again.     The experience we had on the train was just 49 . The seats were very comfortable and we were lucky enough to have an empty dining car 50 to our car. That gave us extra space to move around. I enjoyed sitting in a quiet area with my book and just looking at the great scenery 51 . We 52 bighorn sheep, deer, bears and a bald eagle during our time on board. All in all I was very happy with the trip, with the 53 of the Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge choice. We are now 54 one of Rocky Mountaineer's Canadian routes. It's a lovely way to see this beautiful part of the world and if you're a train 55 , all the more reason to check it out!  41.A.thinking about B.making up C.applying for D.working out 42.A.plan B.schedule C.stay D.booking 43.A.faraway B.central C.strange D.lonely 44.A.agreement B.joy C.complaint D.fun 45.A.relaxed B.tired C.excited D.frightened 46.A.prepared B.tasty C.enjoyable D.affordable 47.A.pull B.apply C.explore D.move 48.A.thoughtfully B.publicly C.officially D.personally 49.A.usual B.common C.excellent D.terrible 50.A.matched B.joined C.separated D.referred 51.A.go over B.pass down C.go down D.pass by 52.A.found B.raised C.looked D.felt 53.A.decision B.inclusion C.exception D.suggestion 54.A.leaving B.considering C.offering D.showing 55.A.conductor B.architect C.collector D.lover 第二节(共10小题;每小题1.5分,满分15分) 阅读下面短文,在空白处填入1个适当的单词或括号内单词的正确形式。 Many people like to travel when they have time off from school or work. They might go to their hometown 56 (see) their family, or travel somewhere far away. But not everyone does this—some people take a “staycation” instead.     Part of a staycation is spending your holiday at home. Some people might travel around 57 (they) cities. Others might try rural tourism in 58 country. People like me prefer to just stay at home.     I had a staycation of my own over the summer. I 59 (sleep) every day. I worked on music and played video games. Jackson is fond of fishing. He often takes his son and daughters to fish in the same place, where he used to fish when he was a child. His children have a lot of fun fishing, which reminds(提醒) him of the day 34 years ago. 34 years ago, Jackson was 11 years old and lived with his family on this island. On the day before the bass season opened, Jackson and his father were fishing early in the evening, catching sunfish. When his fishing rod(钓竿) bent, he knew something huge was at the other end. He very carefully lifted the fish from the water. It was the largest one he had ever seen, but it was a bass. The boy and his father looked at the handsome fish, its gills(鳃) playing back and forth in the moonlight. The father lit a match and looked at his watch. It was 10 pm—two hours before the season opened. He looked at the huge fish, and then at the boy. “You'll have to put the fish back, son,” he said. “Dad!” cried the boy. “There will be other fish,” said his father. “Not as big as this one,” the boy cried and shouted. He looked around the lake. No other fishermen or boats were anywhere around in the moonlight. He looked again at his father. Even though no one had seen them, and nor could anyone ever know what time he caught the fish, the boy could tell from his father's voice clearly that the decision couldn't be changed. The father patted him lightly on the shoulder and sincerely taught him, “My boy, rules are a simple matter of right and wrong. It is the practice of rules that is difficult, but it's your choice.” 注意:续写词数应为150个左右。 Jackson found himself in a difficult situation. China, the first that comes to mind is Chengdu in Sichuan Province. Chengdu is a wonderful blend of history and modernity. It's renowned for the giant pandas, and you can get close up to these lovely creatures in the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. Additionally, the city has numerous historical sites like the Wuhou Shrine and Jinli Ancient Street, where you can immerse yourself in traditional Chinese culture. What's more, Chengdu is a paradise for food lovers, with delicious snacks like hot pot. I highly recommend visiting Chengdu. You'll surely fall in love with it. 第二节 One possible version: Jackson found himself in a difficult situation. He really wanted to keep the largest bass in his heart of hearts. However, his father was so determined that he had no choice but to give it up. Tears welling up in his eyes, he tried to hold them back but it was useless. He took a final look at the fish as if he were saying goodbye to the fish, and then he slowly put the huge bass back to the lake. Do we do right when no one is looking? I think that if I hadn't been taught to put the fish back when I was young, I wouldn't have learned the truth. The decision to do right remains in my memory. It's nothing about others but only about ourselves, as well as our honesty. So, even if no one is looking at us, we shouldn't break the rules and do wrong. If everyone in the world behaves just like this, the future of the world will be better and better. 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
