Step 2 Work on 1a 1.Ask students to look at the pictures in 1a and list all the jobs they know. 2.Ask students to discuss what jobs interest them.Then ask them to share their answers and explain their choices. Step 3 Work on 1b-1c 1.Play the recording for the first time.Ask students to listen carefully and circle the three jobs they hear in the conversations. 2.Play the recording again.Ask students to listen and match the names with the statements about what each student is going to do. 3.Check the answers and play the recording once more for students to listen and repeat. Step 4 Work on 1d 1.Divide students into pairs.Let them talk about the jobs that John,Jason,and Tina want to do using the patterns:“What does...want to be when he/she grows up?He/She wants to be...How is he/she going to realize his/her dream?He/She is going to...” 2.Invite several pairs to share their conversations with the class.
