Section Ⅳ Writing about a comedian Charlie Chaplin’s Legacy Charlie Chaplin was a British actor, filmmaker and composer. He became famous in the 1910s,when films were silent and in black and white. Charlie Chaplin was one of the best comedy actors of his time because he knew how to use his body and facial features to make people laugh. In my opinion, the funniest thing about Charlie Chaplin was the way he walked when he was acting as the Tramp, who is his most famous character. The Tramp is a poor man with a kind heart who has unexpected adventures. These adventures, often involving the police, are usually the funniest scenes. My favourite Charlie Chaplin film is Modern Times and my favourite scene is in the factory where Charlie Chaplin is working on a production line. When a bee starts circling around Charlie’s face, he falls behind with his work. It’s so funny to watch him trying to keep up! I think the power of Charlie Chaplin’s works is not only in his acting, but also in the stories and characters he created. The Tramp is a symbol of the silent cinema and even after so many years, he is still able to make people laugh. 其中,宾语从句中使用并列连词not only ... but also ... The Tramp is a symbol of(主系表结构)介绍了他所创造的著名角色,使语言表达非常自然。 1.He is famous around the world for his character ... 2.He was an excellent actor all over the world. 3.When it comes to famous comedians, I think Charlie Chaplin was the best. 1.While studying for a Master’s degree at Oxford University, he fell in love with acting and comedy. 2.He quickly went on to appear in the hit comedy show Not the Nine O’Clock News. 3.Rowan was born on 6 January 1955, and spent his early years on the family farm with his mother, three older brothers and his strict father. 1.It was eventually made into a movie which made him an international star. 2.He has a great influence on me, because he always works hard. 3.How I wish I could meet a man like him in real life! Rowan Atkinson was born in England on January 6, 1955 and is a world-famous British comedian. He graduated from the University of Oxford. 2. Atkinson has been regarded as the master of comedy for his humorous performances, and enjoys great numbers of fans worldwide. 3. He is best known for the role of Mr.Bean he played. He is an internationally recognised comedy character. 4. Mr.Bean, sometimes, does look foolish, but his stories inspire us to be optimistic about our lives. 5. What impresses me most is the way Atkinson shows his sense of humour through rich and funny body language. This makes people laugh. 6. Atkinson has won many awards for his excellent skills of acting as a comedian and is honoured as another master of comedy after Charlie Chaplin. 1。 Born in England on January 6, 1955, Rowan Atkinson is a world-famous British comedian, who graduated from the University of Oxford. 2. 5。 What impresses me most is the way Atkinson shows his sense of humour through rich and funny body language, which makes people laugh. Born in England on January 6, 1955, Rowan Atkinson is a world-famous British comedian, who graduated from the University of Oxford. One of my challenges was having recently moved to Chicago from a small Canadian city.I was trying to get used to living in such a large, busy city. One day, I saw an advertisement asking for volunteers to help at a resource center for the blind community.I hadn’t thought about this kind of volunteering opportunity before and was a little afraid of it.Still, I signed up to attend a volunteer orientation (培训) session, hoping I’d feel better by doing something good for the community. At the orientation, I sat with ten other potential volunteers. As the orientation organizer asked each of us why we wanted to volunteer to assist blind folks, I began feeling uncomfortable.Every person who answered mentioned they wanted to volunteer because they had either a family member or a friend who was blind.I didn’t have either. When it was my turn, all I could think to say was that I loved helping people.Unexpectedly, the organizer commented I was just the kind of volunteer they were looking for.Suddenly, my nervousness decreased. I accepted a two-week volunteering project. On each day of the first week (from Monday to Friday), I needed to spare time to accompany a blind person to the local newly opened zoo for fun: They had never visited a zoo.During the second week, I needed to bring the five people together and help them enjoy books that contained inspiration and humour.I’d read the book to them. On Monday of the first week, I would accompany a gray-haired woman, Lina, to the zoo.Could I make her have a happy journey? What big challenges might there be? Anxious, I greeted Lina with a happy voice.Carrying a walking stick, she smiled back. Then, I held her hand, walking her slowly to the nearby bus stop.I found I didn’t have much trouble leading her, but I still felt stressed. After reaching the bus stop.I wondered, “Will the coming bus have an empty seat for her?” In the second week, I brought the five blind people together to read books to them. After reaching the bus stop.I wondered, “Will the coming bus have an empty seat for her?” As if answering my prayer, the bus arrived and there were several empty seats.I guided Lina carefully onto the bus and found her a comfortable seat.During the journey, I described the passing scenery to her vividly. When we arrived at the zoo, Lina was excited.I led her around, introducing different animals and their habitats. She listened intently, her face beaming with joy.By the end of the day, I was no longer stressed; instead, I felt a deep sense of satisfaction. In the second week, I brought the five blind people together to read books to them. I chose a book full of inspiring stories and humorous anecdotes. As I read, I could see their expressions changing, from concentration to smiles and even laughter. They listened attentively, often asking questions or sharing their thoughts. It was a heart-warming experience.Through this volunteer work, I not only helped them but also found a way to break free from my own frustration and sadness.I realized that helping others could bring so much joy and meaning to my life.
