Publicity at this level is priceless and could be a career-changing opportunity for any artist.(特等奖得主还将在《国际艺术家》杂志拥有整整四页专题专访报道。 B I used to believe that growing up meant making a choice. For seventeen years, I carried two versions of myself. One sat quietly in physics class, solving problems with neat handwriting. The other remained hidden in my bedroom, fingers dancing across guitar strings. “Engineering will secure your future,” my father often reminded me. “Music is for weekends.” So I nodded and buried my song lyrics beneath piles of textbooks. But life has a way of surprising you when you least expect it. The school’s tech fair changed everything. Ms. Clara Reed, a robotics engineer, asked everyone to list their “unexpected strengths”. Nervously, I wrote “rhythm awareness and pattern recognition” — skills from years of playing guitar. “That’s perfect for designing smooth robot movements!” she said. My partner whispered, “Remember how you fixed our robot by adjusting timing like tuning (调音) your guitar? That was brilliant.” For the first time, my two passions didn’t feel like opposites. The real breakthrough came during my summer internship (实习) at a wearable tech company. While testing health devices, I realized the control for pressing guitar strings was the same as for adjusting touch sensors. When a senior engineer struggled to explain a broken rhythm sensor, I drew the neck of the guitar to help show the timing problem. “You just made engineering feel like music,” the lead designer said. Soon my notebook filled with ideas: guitar-shaped circuits (电路), computer instructions inspired by songs. Mr. Hale, my career planning teacher, helped connect these ideas. On his whiteboard, he drew a circle called “Interactive Music Tech Careers.” He showed me job openings I’d never known: sound designers for games, app developers for music therapy, robotics programmers for live concerts. “Your guitar skills make you stand out among applicants,” he said, pointing to my award-winning robot model. Now my laptop and electric guitar sit side by side. The same hands that hesitated between playing guitar and programming now build apps to calm sick kids. My story isn’t about choosing one passion — it’s about letting both create new possibilities. 24.How did the author’s father view his two passions? A.They had a lot in common. B.They could be easily balanced. C.They conflicted with each other. D.They should be equally encouraged. 25.What did the author realize at the school’s tech fair? A.He was better at designing robots. B.His partner was more creative than him. C.He needed to improve his physics grades. D.His guitar skills were useful in engineering. 26.Why did the author draw the guitar neck? A.To show a new guitar-shaped product. B.To illustrate a timing problem clearly. C.To correct the senior engineer’s design. D.To demonstrate his musical knowledge. 27.What does the author’s story show? A.Mixed passions carve new paths. B.Two heads are better than one. C.Interest is the best teacher. D.Every coin has two sides. 根据文章第一段“Engineering will secure your future,” my father often reminded me. “Music is for weekends.” So I nodded and buried my song lyrics beneath piles of textbooks.(“学工程能保障你的未来,”父亲经常提醒我。“音乐只能当作周末消遣。”于是我点头答应,把歌词埋在成堆的课本下面。)”可推知父亲认为工程和音乐二者互相冲突,不能同时兼顾。 25.细节理解题。根据文章第三段“That’s perfect for designing smooth robot movements!” she said. My partner whispered, “Remember how you fixed our robot by adjusting timing like tuning(调音) your guitar? That was brilliant.” For the first time, my two passions didn’t feel like opposites.(“这完美适配设计流畅的机器人动作!” 根据文章第四段“When a senior engineer struggled to explain a broken rhythm sensor, I drew the neck of the guitar to help show the timing problem.(一位资深工程师难以解释故障的节奏传感器时,我画出吉他琴颈,以此清晰展示时序问题。)” 根据文章最后一段“My story isn’t about choosing one passion — it’s about letting both create new possibilities.(我的故事不是要在热爱中选其一,而是让二者共同创造全新可能。)” C 20 years ago, Katey Lovel headed from a small town to University in Sheffield. Now she has settled in the city. Friendships have been formed, a career has been built and she has been married. She has now lived in Sheffield longer than she lived in her hometown. Yet no matter how happy she is in this city, there’s always a desire to return to her hometown. Why? The simple answer is that the sense of home isn’t only about time spent in a place—instead, it is about emotional connection and a feeling of safety. “Homesickness usually comes from being somewhere that doesn’t quite feel like home,” says award-winning Cheshire psychologist (心理学家) Wendy Dignan. “It’s a little bit like feeling sad because we’ve lost something that provides a safe zone (区域). And many people rely on something outside to achieve that. It might be a place, a home, or even just a person.” Nostalgia (怀旧) also has a role to play. The desire to return home—especially after such a long time away—can be as much about wanting to go back to a simpler, happier time of life as it is about returning to a place. This is particularly true when feeling homesick for where you grew up. The Welsh language has a word for this specific type of homesickness—“hiraeth”. It recognises the love for a specific time and place as well as accepting that going back in time is impossible. Those who do return to their hometown may find a very different place to the one they left behind. There are things you can do to help yourself if you are struggling with homesickness. Surrounding yourself with familiar objects and following a regular practice can be a way of holding onto connections to the past, while being present in the now. Dignan suggests going to the same coffee shop or gym at a certain time each day or week to build a feeling of familiarity because, as humans, familiarity is a useful tool for overcoming homesickness and building the important safe zone. “However, if there’s a part of you that keeps pulling you back to your hometown, just learn to accept it and live with it peacefully,” adds Dignan. 28.What does the writer try to tell us by Katey’s example in paragraph 1? A.Katey Lovel is successful. B.Being homesick is normal. C.Life in the city is wonderful. D.Katey Lovel loves living in the city. 29.Why do people feel homesick when they are away from home? A.Life outside their hometown is dull. B.Life is inconvenient in a new place. C.They feel unsafe when they leave home. D.They don’t stay long enough in a new place. 30.What does the underlined word “hiraeth” in paragraph 3 refer to? A.A desire for living a different life. B.A desire for seeing your friends and family. C.A feeling of sadness about losing a safe zone. D.A feeling of homesickness for where you grew up. 31.What is the last paragraph mainly about? A.Causes of homesickness. B.Impact of homesickness. C.Ways of beating homesickness. D.Reasons for accepting homesickness. 根据第一段“20 years ago, Katey Lovel headed from a small town to University in Sheffield. Now she has settled in the city. Friendships have been formed, a career has been built and she has been married. She has now lived in Sheffield longer than she lived in her hometown. Yet no matter how happy she is in this city, there’s always a desire to return to her hometown. 根据第二段中““Homesickness usually comes from being somewhere that doesn’t quite feel like home,” says award-winning Cheshire psychologist (心理学家) Wendy Dignan. “It’s a little bit like feeling sad because we’ve lost something that provides a safe zone (区域). And many people rely on something outside to achieve that. It might be a place, a home, or even just a person.”(“思乡之情通常源于身处一个并不完全像家的地方,”获奖的柴郡心理学家温迪·迪格南表示,“这有点像因为失去了一个提供安全港湾的事物而感到悲伤。 根据第三段中“The desire to return home—especially after such a long time away—can be as much about wanting to go back to a simpler, happier time of life as it is about returning to a place. This is particularly true when feeling homesick for where you grew up.( 想要回家的愿望——尤其是在远离家乡这么长时间之后——可能既想回到过去更简单、更幸福的时光,也可能只是想回到那个地方。 以及“It recognises the love for a specific time and place as well as accepting that going back in time is impossible.( 这个词既表达了对特定时间与地点的眷恋,也承认回到过去是不可能的。)” 根据最后一段“There are things you can do to help yourself if you are struggling with homesick- ness. “However, if there’s a part of you that keeps pulling you back to your hometown, just learn to accept it and live with it peacefully,” adds Dignan.( 如果你正经历思乡之苦,有一些方法可以帮助你缓解这种情绪。 D Slop is a new way to describe mass-produced, low-quality content. The term comes from artificial intelligence. Developer Simon Willison shared the concept: “Not all AI-generated content is slop. But if it’s mindlessly generated and forced upon someone who didn’t ask for it, slop is the perfect term.” Today slop’s critical tone is increasingly aimed at all things AI, treating it as a cultural pollutant. But by unthinkingly dismissing all of it, we risk missing out on the minority of creations that are keepers. Mass-produced culture has a long, messy history. One notable slop moment came after Johannes Gutenberg invented the movable-type printing press in Europe. The device — the ChatGPT of the 1450s — allowed the mass production of cheap printed material. Some of this material was nonsense, but much of it entertained and educated the masses. In the early 1700s, a growing reading public created steady demand for text, giving rise to Grub Street — the slop generator of its time. People laughed at Grub Street even as its writers built the first modern freelance (自由职业) economy and mass-print culture. The 20th-century cinema boom followed a similar pattern. Production demands produced a lot of rubbish, but this effort also developed the motion-picture industry’s foundation. In all of these situations, the point wasn’t to create masterpieces; it was to create rapidly and cheaply. But the production of new types of slop allows more people to participate. The current wave of AI-generated slop raises the risks because the cost for those making slop has collapsed to near zero, while the cost for other people is high in terms of cognitive burden. So we must identify and take advantage of what stands out so that we can better discourage what doesn’t. The word “slop” helps us do that when it is used correctly. Calling everything worthless is a misguided attempt to dam the flood rather than channel it. If “culture is ordinary,” then the ordinary act of making on a large scale will always include waste. But it’ll also produce the seeds of the next thing we’ll decide to keep. 32.According to paragraph 1, which of the following is an example of “slop”? A.A novel written by ChatGPT upon request. B.A historical essay printed by a modern publisher. C.A low-budget film made by a famous filmmaker. D.An AI-generated poem that pops up on your phone. 33.What do the examples in paragraph 2 illustrate? A.History is sometimes unreliable. B.Mass culture received wide criticism. C.Mass culture has long been a complex issue. D.Technological advances underwent a difficult process. 34.What has fueled today’s slop boom? A.Lower production costs. B.Better digital access. C.Faster information flow. D.Public demand for AI. 35.Which of the following is the best title for the text? A.Slop in AI: A Growing Problem B.Mass Production: Past and Future C.Slop in History: An Art Phenomenon D.The Slop Cycle: Trash or Treasure 【答案】32.D 33.C 34.A 35.D 【导语】文章主要围绕“slop”(低质量、大批量生产的内容)这一概念展开讨论,分析了其在历史上的类似现象以及当今AI时代的特点,最终指出“slop”并非全无价值,其中也可能孕育出值得保留的精华。 根据第一段第三、四句“Developer Simon Willison shared the concept: “Not all AI-generated content is slop. But if it’s mindlessly generated and forced upon someone who didn’t ask for it, slop is the perfect term.” D选项“An AI-generated poem that pops up on your phone. 根据第二段首句“Mass-produced culture has a long, messy history. C选项“Mass culture has long been a complex issue. 根据第三段第三句“The current wave of AI-generated slop raises the risks because the cost for those making slop has collapsed to near zero, while the cost for other people is high in terms of cognitive burden. D选项“The Slop Cycle: Trash or Treasure? Mental health is just as important as physical health, yet for years, many people didn’t pay enough attention to their emotional struggles. 36 . 40.上文“Meanwhile, digital technology has advanced. Years ago, Julie Labes was to have her gallbladder (胆囊) removed. Thus, they designed a special type of patterned paper called huajian and decorated it 57 customized motifs (装饰图案) and characters, on smaller-sized sheets. Researchers commented that in their research papers on traditional culture this year huajian represents the highest artistic taste of ancient Chinese 58 (intellectual). From the Tang Dynasty’s poets to Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, they all shared 59 (enthusiastic) for personalized paper art. Ethan Carter, a 17-year-old high school student, sat in the backseat of a ride-hailing car (网约车), holding his exam bag tightly. He was going to take an exam today. Next to him sat his classmate, Liam Bennett. They had been good friends since freshman year, often studying together and encouraging each other through tough times. The ride-hailing driver, Mr Henderson, a kind middle-aged man, drove steadily, keeping an eye on the time to ensure they arrived at the exam site on schedule. Ethan took a deep breath, reviewing key knowledge in his mind, while Liam looked out the window, a little anxious yet excited about the upcoming exam. Suddenly, without any warning, Liam let out a soft groan (呻吟) and fell forward in his seat. His eyes rolled back, and he stopped breathing. Ethan’s heart skipped a beat, and he immediately realized something was terribly wrong. “Liam! Liam, wake up!” he shouted, shaking his friend gently, but there was no response. Mr Henderson glanced at the rear-view mirror, and his face turned pale with panic. Ethan didn’t hesitate. He had learned first aid in his school’s health class, and all the training kicked in at that moment. He quickly moved Liam into a flat position, checked his pulse and breathing, and found that Liam had suffered a sudden cardiac arrest Without wasting a second, Ethan started performing CPR — pressing firmly on Liam’s chest and giving him rescue breaths, repeating the process over and over, his hands shaking but his movements steady. “Hold on, Liam. You’ll be okay!” Ethan whispered, his voice tight with worry but full of determination. Mr Henderson, realizing the urgency, turned on the emergency lights and honked his horn. He kept reassuring Ethan, “We’ll get to the hospital soon, kid. Keep going, you’re doing great.” Ten minutes later, they finally reached the hospital. Medical staff took Liam from Ethan’s arms and rushed him to the emergency room. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ However, when he arrived at the exam center, the teacher gently shook her head. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】    Medical staff took Liam from Ethan’s arms and rushed him to the emergency room. All this happened so suddenly that Ethan felt exhausted and terrified, his hands trembling uncontrollably. Without hesitation, Ethan informed Liam’s parents of the whole incident. Minutes felt like hours until a doctor finally emerged, pulling down his mask with a tired smile. “He is stable,” the doctor announced. “Your quick action restarted his heart and saved his life.” Overwhelmed with relief, Ethan sank into a chair, tears streaming down his face, realizing his friend was safe. However, when he arrived at the exam center, the teacher gently shook her head. “I’m sorry, Ethan, but the exam has already concluded,” she said softly. Ethan felt a lump in his throat, realizing he had sacrificed his own opportunity. Yet, as he looked at his phone and saw a message from Liam’s parents thanking him, the disappointment vanished. He knew he had passed a far more important test that day — the test of humanity and friendship. Walking out into the sunlight, he felt a profound sense of peace. 词汇激活: 行为类 ①出现:emerge/turn up ②消失:vanish/disappear   情绪类 ①害怕:terrified/afraid ②失望:disappointment/upset 【点睛】【高分句型1】All this happened so suddenly that Ethan felt exhausted and terrified, his hands trembling uncontrollably.(使用了so…that… 2】Overwhelmed with relief, Ethan sank into a chair, tears streaming down his face, realizing his friend was safe. C 20 years ago, Katey Lovel headed from a small town to University in Sheffield. D Slop is a new way to describe mass-produced, low-quality content. A.Slop in AI: A Growing Problem B.Mass Production: Past and Future C.Slop in History: An Art Phenomenon D.The Slop Cycle: Trash or Treasure Mental health is just as important as physical health, yet for years, many people didn’t pay enough attention to their emotional struggles. 36 . More people are now prioritizing their psychological and emotional health. They are choosing activities like meditation, spending time in nature, and taking breaks from social media. Stress and anxiety have become common challenges. The rapid pace of change in many areas of life creates anxiety and sometimes depression. Younger people may feel pressure from social media, while older people often experience loneliness. 37 Public figures and famous people have helped reduce prejudice (偏见) by sharing their own mental health journeys. Their bravery helps others realize that mental illness can affect anyone. 38 . However, prejudice has not completely disappeared. Many people admit they would view someone differently if they learned that person had a mental health condition. 39 In some areas, mental health professionals are hard to find. Some people have to travel long distances to see a specialist. Cost is another major barrier, with many unable to afford care even when it is available. To solve these problems, experts are promoting cooperative care, where primary care doctors work with mental health professionals. This allows patients to receive mental health support during regular doctor visits. Meanwhile, digital technology has advanced. 40 . However, experts agree that human connection remains irreplaceable in mental health treatment. A.Access to mental health care remains a challenge. B.Recently, however, attitudes have begun to change. C.A shortage of mental health professionals is a big problem. D.This openness encourages people to seek help without shame. E.These feelings affect people of all ages, though in different ways. F.Those with mental health struggles are treated with great kindness. G.It is also making care more accessible via online therapy platforms. Years ago, Julie Labes was to have her gallbladder (胆囊) removed. Scholars and artists felt that writing or drawing on white paper was far from 56 (full) offering an expression of their thoughts and literary and artistic tastes. Thus, they designed a special type of patterned paper called huajian and decorated it 57 customized motifs (装饰图案) and characters, on smaller-sized sheets. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 试题 第3页(共12页) 试题 第4页(共12页) 试题 第1页(共12页) 试题 第2页(共12页) 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 2026-2027学年高二选择性必修第二册英语单元自测 Unit 3 Fit for Life 建议用时120分钟,满分150分 第一部分 听力(满分30分) 1.C 2.B 3.C 4.C 5.A 6.B 7.C 8.B 9.A 10.B 11.A 12.A 13.B 14.A 15.C 16.C 17.A 18.A 19.C 20.B 第二部分 阅读(满分50分) 第一节 21.B 22.D 23.C 24.C 25.D 26.B 27.A 28.B 29.C 30.D 31.C 32.D 33.C 34.A 35.D 第二节 36.B 37.E 38.D 39.A 40.G 第三部分 语言运用(满分30分) 第一节 完形填空 41.A 42.B 43.D 44.C 45.A 46.B 47.D 48.C 49.A 50.B 51.D 52.A 53.C 54.B 55.D 56.fully 57.with 58.intellectuals 59.enthusiasm 60.were gathered 61.to reflect 62.printed 63.a 64.whose 65.reminding 第四部分 写作(满分40分) 第一节 应用文(15分) Live a Healthy Life Nowadays, many teenagers fail to develop good living habits. They often stay up late, spend too much time on electronic devices and take little exercise, which does great harm to their physical and mental health. To keep fit, we should take action to change our lifestyle. First, keep a balanced diet and avoid junk food. Second, stick to regular exercise to strengthen our body. Besides, it is vital to arrange our time reasonably and get enough sleep. A healthy lifestyle provides us with energy for study and life. Only by keeping healthy can we pursue our dreams and enjoy a better life. 第二节 读后续写(25分) Medical staff took Liam from Ethan’s arms and rushed him to the emergency room. I think it's going to rain. Let's go home right now. C 20 years ago, Katey Lovel headed from a small town to University in Sheffield. D Slop is a new way to describe mass-produced, low-quality content. Rarely seen examples of the unique huajian tradition were on show at the Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy. The exhibition displayed colorful, patterned vintage (古色古香的) paper, selected huajian catalogs, and planks and tools for woodcut printing. The objects 60 (gather) from the collections of eight museums and cultural institutions. The exhibition follows the evolving aesthetics (美学) of academics 61 (reflect) innovations in papermaking and printing techniques. When not 62 (print) with words, these patterned papers are worthy of appreciation as stand-out miniature paintings. “As 63 unique form of stationery, huajian paper carries a galaxy of emotions, 64 patterns are like background music on paper, though they cannot be heard. They do not take attention away from the texts, but possess a lingering charm, 65 (remind) people today of the creative artistry and sincerity between the lines,” says the director of the Beijing Fine Art Academy. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第二节(满分25分) 67. It was a sunny morning in late May, and the air was filled with a mix of nervousness and hope. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 原创精品资源学科网独家享有版权,侵权必究!1 1 / 12 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
