(2) whose 用来指人或物,只用作定语。若指物,它可以同 of

(3) which、that 所代替的先行词是表示事物的名词或代词,在从句中可作主语、宾语等。

关系副词所代替的先行词是表示时间、地点或理由的名词,在定语从句中作状语。关系副词when、where、why的含义相当于“介词+which”结构。

4. 关系代限制性定语从句只能用 that 的几种情况
(1) 当先行词是 anything、everything、nothing、few、all、none、little、some 等代词时,或者是被 every、any、all、some、no、little、few、much、each 等修饰时。
※ Have you taken down everything that Mr. Li has said?
你记下李先生说的每件事了吗?
(2)当先行词被序数词修饰时。
※ The first place that they visited was the Elizabeth Tower.
他们参观的第一个地方是伊丽莎白塔。
(3)当先行词被形容词最高级修饰时。
※ This is the best film that I have seen.这是我看过的最好的电影。
(4)当先行词被 the very、the only、the same、the last 修饰时。

(5)当先行词前面有 who、which 等疑问代词时。
