Jenny: Hi Li Ming! Guess where we went today!
Li Ming: I have no idea.
Brian: We went shopping in Chinatown!
Li Ming: Really? Did you have fun?
Jenny: Sure. The Chinese New Year is coming. The street was crowded, and there were red lanterns and colourful balloons everywhere.
Li Ming: Did you enjoy any Chinese food there?
Brian: Yes. We ate Sichuan food with many chili peppers. I think it's among the world's best spicy dishes. I used chopsticks and spoons instead of forks and knives.
Li Ming: Good for you. Did you have any trouble communicating with people there?

Brian: Not at all. In the stores and restaurants, people spoke English to me, but many of them spoke Chinese to each other.
Jenny: Danny and I watched a wonderful lion dance during the Spring Festival last year.
Li Ming:That's interesting. I hope you can come to China to experience the Chinese New Year.
Brian: I'd love to. What do you usually do during the Spring Festival, Li Ming?
Li Ming: We eat dumplings and other delicious foods. We watch wonderful performances. Children usually receive lucky money! It's our most important festival.
Brian: Maybe next year, Jenny and I could travel to China to experience the Chinese New Year with you there!
