Passage1
High Mountains and Flowing Water
Long ago in China, there was a great musician named Bo Ya. He played the qin, an ancient Chinese instrument, very well. But he always felt sad, because nobody could really understand his music.
One day, Bo Ya was playing the qin by a river. A woodcutter named Zhong Ziqi stopped and listened. When Bo Ya played music about high mountains, Zhong said, "How wonderful! I can see great mountains standing high!" When Bo Ya played about flowing water, Zhong said, "Amazing! I can hear a long river running fast!"
Bo Ya was surprised and happy. At last, he found someone who could "hear" his heart through music. The two men became best friends. People call such a friend "zhiyin", a friend who truly understands you.
Later, Zhong Ziqi died. Bo Ya was so sad that he broke his qin. He never played it again. "No one can understand my music now," he said.
The story of Bo Ya and Zhong Ziqi is still popular today. It tells us that music is a language of the heart, and a true friend is hard to find.

为感叹句;see sb./sth. doing sth.
2.Bo Ya was so sad that he broke his qin.
分析:“so+形容词+that...”
3.It tells us that music is a language of the heart, and a true friend is hard to find.

His teacher smiled and said, "No two eggs are the same. Look at them from different sides, and you will see different shapes. Drawing eggs can train your eyes and hands. Only when you can draw an egg well can you draw anything well."
Leonardo understood his teacher's words. He kept drawing eggs every day and became more and more careful and patient. Years later, his hard work paid off. He became one of the greatest artists in the world. His painting Mona Lisa is still loved by people everywhere.

2.Only when you can draw an egg well can you draw anything well.
3.The story tells us: to create something great, we must first learn from small things and keep practicing.
