He was born during the Northern and Southern dynasties. His family were very talented. They had been studying mathematics and astronomy (天文学) for generations. From a young age. Zu was taught natural science, astronomy, math. philosophy (哲学) and so on. The little boy was interested in all of these subjects, especially in math. Zu was best known for his calculation of pi. According to historical records, he did all the work using only wooden sticks. It took him lots of time to work out the value—between 3, 1415926 and 3, 1415927. No one at that time was able to calculate it more accurately (准确地) than Zu. The achievement has been recognized around the world. In order to remember Zu, some mathematicians have suggested calling pi “Zu Lv (祖率)”. Zu was also known for working out how to calculate the volume (体积) of a sphere (球). He did this with the help of his son Zu Gengzhi. The two recorded their achievement in Zhui Shu. The book was used during the Tang dynasty. But Zu was successful not only in math; he did a good job in astronomy, too. He worked out that a year should be 365. 24281481 days long and created the Daming Calendar. However, government officials at that time did not agree with Zu. The great mathematician never saw his calendar put into use after his death, Zu Gengzhi kept on proving that the Daming Calendar was more accurate. Almost ten years later, the new calendar was finally accepted. Zu was also an inventor. He once made a vehicle that carried a pointer. However the vehicle turned, the pointer always pointed to the South. Zu also invented the 1, 000-li Boat. The boat could travel 100 li (about 60 kilometers) in a day. 29. What’s the best structure for the text? A. B. C. D. 30. Which question can get the answer from the book Zhui Shu? A. How to do calculations using wooden sticks? B. How to work out the accurate value of pi? C. How to calculate the volume of a sphere? D. How to prove that a year is 365, 24281481 days long? 31. Zu Gengzhi proved that the calendar was inaccurate C. the calendar was hard for the general public to accept D. Zu Chongzhi later discovered mistakes in the calendar 32. Which picture most probably shows Zu Chongzhi’s invention? A. B. C. D. 33. What is the best title of the text? A. A great dynasty in ancient China B. The achievements in ancient China C. A story about Zu Chengzhi and his son D. Zu Chongzhi’s great achievements After a 10-year project to count tuna and other large fish in the world's oceans, scientists have made a very surprising discovery: these fish are almost gone. Because of too much fishing, almost 90 percent of the worldwide population of large fish—the ones we usually eat—has disappeared. If we don’t act, these animals will totally disappear. That will influence every animal in the ocean. The demand for fish is growing. Almost a billion people around the world get their protein (蛋白质) mostly from fish. Doctors praise seafood for being low in fat. But what seems like a healthy choice for humans is causing a disaster to our oceans. “People are consuming (消费) too much,” says Lance Morgan, a scientist at the Marine Conservation Biology Institute. A dish of tuna in restaurants costs more than just one animal's life. When fish like tuna disappear from the ecosystem (生态系统), the ocean’s food chain (链) breaks down. Animals such as sharks, which normally eat tuna, may die because they find no food. The news may be scary, but taking action from now on can prevent harm that hasn’t happened yet. World organizations are ordering countries to stop fishing too much. The Monterey Bay Aquarium gives seafood choices to anyone hoping to keep healthy without destroying the environment. “If you care about wildlife, first spend time and think about your own values and beliefs,” says Morgan. “Then decide what you’re going to eat.” 34. How does the writer start the text? A. By giving a fact. B. By asking a question. C. By telling a story. D. By using a saying. 35. What does the underlined word “demand” in Paragraph 2 probably mean? A. Wish. B. Support. C. Need. D. Price. 36. From Paragraph 3, we know that ________. A. if sharks die out, tuna will die out soon B. tuna will be more popular in restaurants C. tuna plays an important role in the ecosystem D. tuna disappeared because they found no food 37. What’s the purpose of the text? A. To tell people to stop polluting our oceans. B. To tell people to protect wildlife in oceans. C. To tell people to avoid eating too much seafood. D. To tell people to live a balanced and healthy life. 38. What does the last paragraph of the article explain ________. A. We need to care about wildlife B. We need to eat wild animals C. We need to reflect on our own values and beliefs D. We don’t want to protect wild animals Whenever I gaze (凝视) into the night sky, I dream of exploring the things that are hidden behind the black “curtains”. This is especially true after I had read the popular science-fiction novel Three-Body Problem. So perhaps you can never imagine how excited I felt when I was given the chance to attend a speech given by Mr Li Di, a chief scientist of China’s FAST (天眼), and afterwards, to be able to interview him. FAST is short for the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope (500米口径球面射电望远镜). It is located in Guizhou Province. During the speech, Mr Li let us know more details about FAST. Through his introduction, I knew that FAST is currently the world’s largest single-dish radio telescope. Mr Li also shared some stories behind the amazing telescope. At first, the budget for the project was very low, so the astronomers (天文学家) who worked on it could hardly afford the machines. Their living conditions were terrible. Despite the great difficulties, the astronomers refused to give up building the telescope. After having learned these stories, I felt even prouder of the telescope. It couldn’t have been completed without the hard work of many persistent (坚持不懈的) Chinese scientists. FAST, the world’s most advanced (先进的) telescope, is now open to researchers all around the world. Astronomers around the world are using it to explore the mysteries behind the black “curtains”. FAST is the pride of the Chinese people. Mr Li told us that China is planning to build much more telescopes like FAST. I hope I can grow up to be a persistent woman and help the construction (建造) of these telescopes. 39. What can we learn about FAST from the passage? A. FAST is located in Sichuan Province. B. FAST is currently the world’s second largest single-dish radio telescope. C. FAST is used to explore the oceans. D. FAST is short for the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope. 40. What does the underlined word “budget” in Paragraph 3 mean ? A. average B. fund C. technology D. expectation 41. The telescope is successfully constructed because of ________. A. the advanced technology that China owns B. the hard work of many persistent Chinese scientists C. the high budget for this project D. the ideas of the novel Three-Body Problem 42. What can we infer from the last paragraph? A. China is planning to build more telescopes like FAST. B. FAST is currently open to researches in a few countries. C. The author has learnt a lot about persistence from the construction of FAST. D. Chinese people are very proud of FAST. 43. What does the passage mainly talk about? A. Scientists who built FAST is hard-working and persistent. B. FAST is a project that may face difficulties in the future. C. FAST is the most advanced telescope and the pride of the Chinese people. D. I dream of exploring the things behind the sky. 三、短文还原(共5空,每小题2分,计10分) 阅读短文,从短文下面的六个句子中选择五个还原到短文中,使短文通顺完整、衔接自然。 Once in a while it’s helpful to see if your friendship is as healthy as it can be. For Tom,the answer was to keep going—one small step at a time. Tom had loved running since he was a little boy. Inspired by his father, a former runner, he started training at the age of 10. Every morning, he woke up at 6 o’clock to run in the park, rain or shine. After school, he practiced speed drills and endurance (耐力) exercises with his coach. By the 9th grade, Tom was one of the top youth runners in his city, with dozens of medals hanging on his bedroom wall. His biggest goal was to compete in the national youth marathon and make his family proud. The competition was just three months away, and he was in the best shape of his life. Then disaster struck. During a morning training run, Tom was hit by a cyclist who lost control. He fell hard and hurt his right leg badly. Rushed to the hospital, he underwent surgery and was told by the doctor, “You’ll need to rest for at least six months. Even after recovery (痊愈) running long distances might be impossible for a long time”. Tom felt his world collapse. He threw his favorite running shoes in the corner, covered his medals with a cloth, and refused to talk about marathons. Every time he tried to stand up, the pain in his leg reminded him of his broken dream. “I’ll never run again,” he muttered to himself, sinking into despair (绝望). One afternoon, his coach Mr. Lee visited him with a tablet. He showed Tom a video of a disabled runner who finished a full marathon with a prosthetic (假体的) leg. “Dreams don’t disappear because of setbacks (挫折),”Mr. Lee said gently. “They just wait for you to find a new way to reach them. Start small—you’ll be surprised how far you can go.” Inspired by the video and his coach’s words, Tom decided to give it a try. He started with leg stretches and short walks, then tried jogging for 5 minutes a day, kept a journal to record progress, and adjusted the training plan with his coach’s help, focusing on building strength without overworking his injury. Months later, as the national youth marathon approached, Tom wasn’t fully back to his old speed, but he was determined (坚定的) to compete. On the race day, he stood at the starting line with butterflies in his stomach. When the gun went off, he ran at a steady pace, remembering every small step he’d taken to get here. 69. Months later,as the national youth marathon approached,Tom wasn't fully back to his old speed, but he was determined to compete. On the race day,he stood at the starting line with butterflies in his stomach. When the gun went off,he ran at a steady pace, remembering every small step he'd taken to get here. 71.What encouraged Tom to restart his running journey?(1) 72.What did Tom do to show his despair after knowing he might not run long distances?(1) 73.Continue to write the story.(No more than 20 words)(3) 74.Summarize the passage in one sentence.(No more than 20 words)(3) 75.What can you learn from Tom's story?(2) Let's get moving Recently, all primary and middle schools in Dezhou have been required to carry out the"Double Long Breaks"activity2025至2026学年第一学期12月份阶段性检测九年级英语测试听力部分。一录音中有五个句子,每个句子听两遍,然后从每小题ABC中选出能对每个句子做出适当反应的答语。One, how much is this tea pot?
