Richard,
Xiaoli
Para 1:
I'm very glad to know that everything in your new school life is going well. During the October holiday, my family and I are planning to go to Beijing to climb the Great Wall. I’ve heard that it is an amazing sight, and I can't wait to go. To me, the construction of the Great Wall is almost unbelievable. As we all know, Beijing is one of the ancient capitals of China, and the Great Wall is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. It's often said that he who has never been to the Great Wall is not a true man. I've been looking forward to visiting it for a long time.

We are also planning to visit several other places in Beijing. My dad and I are both looking forward to visiting the Palace Museum. My dad loves history, and I’ve heard that it is the largest surviving palace complex in the world. We are also going to the National Stadium (Bird's Nest), where the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic and Paralympic Games were held.

Para 2:
We are going there by plane, leaving on the morning of the first day of the October holiday and arriving in about 4 hours. After arriving and checking in at the hotel, we are planning to try some Beijing roast duck and visit Wangfujing Street, a very famous shopping street in the city.
I guess that's all for now. I'll write again soon and share more travel details with you. By the way, I'll also buy some souvenirs for you!
I hope you enjoy your trip as well.
Your friend,
Xiao Li
