[2025江西宜春月考]
Shanghai residents passing through the city's eastern Huangpu District earlier this month might be surprised to catch an unusual sight: a “walking” building. An 85-year-old primary school has been lifted off the ground—in its entirety—and relocated using new technology called the “walking machine”.
In the city's latest effort to preserve historic structures, engineers attached nearly 200 mobile supports under the five-storey building. The supports act like robotic legs. They're split into two groups which alternately(交替地) rise up and down, imitating the human stride. Attached sensors help control how the building moves forward.
In recent decades, China's rapid modernization has seen many historic buildings razed to the ground for grand skyscrapers(摩天大楼) and office buildings. But there has been growing concern about the architectural heritage lost as a result of the teardown across the country. Shanghai has arguably been China's most progressive city when it comes to heritage preservation. The survival of a number of 1930s buildings in the famous Bund district and 19th-century “shikumen” (or “stone gate”) houses in the renovated Xintiandi neighborhood has offered examples of how to give old buildings new life. The city also has a track record of relocating old buildings. In 2018, the city relocated a 90-year-old building in Hongkou District, which has been considered to be Shanghai's most complex relocation project to date.
The Lagena Primary School, which weighs 7,600 tons, posed a new challenge—it's T-shaped, whereas previously relocated structures were square or rectangular. Experts and technicians met to discuss possibilities and tested a number of different technologies before deciding on the “walking machine”.
Citizens welcome and appreciate the efforts made by the municipal government to protect these old buildings. In their eyes, not only are the old buildings part of their memory but they also represent part of Shanghai's history.

[2026河南驻马店开学考试](文化自信)
Sugar painting, as the name suggests, is a kind of painting made of sugar. 1
Since the Warring States Period, people have loved sweets and developed methods of producing sugar. 2 And sugar, the expensive product once only served to the emperors and princes, also went into common people's homes. With the cultural and economic development of the Song and Yuan Dynasties, people became less interested in only tasting sweetness. In the Ming Dynasty, some people added pictures with good luck into the bowl of sugar, and sugar painting appeared.
Sugar painting is different from normal painting. Sugar painters use syrup(糖浆) as the material, a spoon as the “paintbrush”, and a smooth table as the “paper”. 3 Since syrup may become hard if it cools, the painters have to produce the work very quickly. They move the spoon full of syrup up and down, left and right. Soon a sugar painting is done.
4 The sugar painting that used to be rich in shapes has become poorer and poorer because of fewer needs. What's worse, few people seem to be willing to pass on the art except those aging sugar painters.
For most people, painting is a kind of art and difficult to understand. However, sugar painting has brought the art down into people's daily life. Through it, we may see the spiritual support of the ancient people across centuries. Now, sugar painting has been listed as an intangible cultural heritage in China. 5
A.But they're too expensive for many to buy.
B.However, it's a pity that this folk art is dying recently.
C.So the art should be remembered, missed and passed on.
D.To make syrup, they have to make sugar hot before painting.
E.It's the sugar for us to taste, and the painting for us to admire.
F.Because this art form with a long history is popular with people of all ages.
G.In the Tang Dynasty, there was huge progress in the technology of sugar making.
