looked at“看”、cut up“切碎”、spoke to“交谈”不符合常理。
根据“take the piano...on your computer”及下文“take the lesson”可知,指的是上钢琴课,应用lesson“课”。
根据“He is very busy”可知,老师非常忙,所以没有时间。busy对应no time。some“一些”、free“空闲的”、any“任何”与busy矛盾。

根据“interest is your first teacher”及前文“She loved it”可知,Jane感兴趣,此处为固定搭配be interested in“对……感兴趣”。strict“严格的”、new“新的”、funny“有趣的”不符合。
40.句意:谢谢您成为我的第一位钢琴老师。
根据“My piano teacher is busy, but I can teach you”可知,Tony充当了老师角色。

根据文章第二段“The elf was very angry. He turned Nils into a very little boy...”
57.根据文章第一段“He always played tricks on others. So no one liked him.”以及第二段提到尼尔斯问动物们精灵去哪了,“but they didn’t want to tell this naughty boy”。
58.根据文章最后一段“The wild geese began to like Morten. But they still didn't like Nils, because he was a human being.”
B
From time to time, pets show that they are sweeter and lovelier than some people are. Bill—a pet dog from London became popular online because it did something special. It imitated its injured owner in order to show its sympathy for its owner.
Recently, the owner named Russell Jones posted a heartwarming and funny video on Facebook. The video showed that the pet dog imitated Russell Jones’s behaviour while walking beside him, and in just a few days, the video received over 11,000 likes and 26,000 people shared the video.
From the short video, people found that Russell Jones’s leg had been placed in a plaster one, walking along the street with his dog Bill. The dog is seen walking with his paw raised above the ground in order to copy his owner’s behaviour. “I spent 300 pounds to give it a medical check-up, and the doctor said there was nothing wrong with Bill. It just showed its sympathy for me. Love him.” Russell Jones wrote in the description of his post.
According to Cesar’s Way, a website, “A number of different animals imitate others within their own groups. People imitate other people. Birds imitate other birds. Monkeys imitate others in their group.”
“But dogs not only imitate other dogs—they copy what people do as well. What’s even more surprising is that they have been known to do so, even when the imitation is not good for them,” Cesar’s Way shows on the webpage.
Why do dogs copy people’s behaviour? “Scientists think that dogs copy people’s behaviour because of thousands of years’ selective breeding and training. Over time, it became a built-in reaction,” reads a website.
59.What does the second paragraph tell us?
A.How popular the video was. B.Why Bill imitated its owner.
C.How Russell Jones got hurt. D.How Russell Jones loved Bill.
60.What can we infer from Russell Jones’s words?
A.He realized his pet was laughing at him.
B.He thought something was wrong with his pet.
C.He thought his pet needed more care and love.
D.He was unhappy because of his pet’s behaviour.
61.How does the writer show us the imitations of animals?
A.By showing some people’s ideas.
B.By showing some results of studies.
C.By showing some examples in a book.
D.By showing some information on a website.
62.What’s the passage mainly about?
A.Ways to look after pets well. B.The reasons for keeping pets.
C.A kind of behaviour of animals. D.Scientists’ new studies on animals.
【答案】59.A 60.B 61.D 62.C
第二段提到:“Recently, the owner named Russell Jones posted a heartwarming and funny video on Facebook...in just a few days, the video received over 11,000 likes and 26,000 people shared the video.”,第二段主要列举了视频在Facebook上获得的点赞数和分享数,旨在说明这个视频非常受欢迎。
60.根据第三段中Russell Jones说的话“I spent 300 pounds to give it a medical check-up, and the doctor said there was nothing wrong with Bill.”
61.根据第四段中的“According to Cesar’s Way, a website...”,第五段中的“Cesar’s Way shows on the webpage.”

Ten years ago, I decided to study luck. I wanted to know why some people are always in the right place at the right time, while others always have ill luck. Over the years I talked to many people and watched their lives. I also had them take part in my study to learn about why there were differences in their abilities to find chances. I gave both lucky and unlucky people a newspaper and asked them to look through it and tell me how many photos were inside.
I secretly placed a large message halfway through the newspaper. The message said, “Tell me you have seen this and you will win $ 50.” This message took up half of the page. Unlucky people often missed it while lucky people were more likely to spot it.
I find that unlucky people are just more nervous than lucky people. They are busy looking only for what they need and this stops them from noticing some surprising things. As a result, they miss out on good luck. However, lucky people are often more relaxed and open. They can see everything in front of them instead of looking for certain things.
What’s more, my study shows that lucky people live by several rules. Here are some of these rules:
☆Listen to your gut instincts (直觉)—they are often right.
☆Be open to new ideas and break your normal thought patterns
☆Spend some time each day remembering good and happy things.

D.Only look for what we need.
【答案】67.A 68.B 69.A 70.B
第一段指出“Ten years ago, I decided to study luck. I wanted to know why some people are always in the right place at the right time, while others always have ill luck.”,作者做了一项研究,了解幸运和不幸的人之间的区别。
68.第二段指出“Unlucky people often missed it while lucky people were more likely to spot it.”,此处句意发生了转折,根据下文第三段指出“However, lucky people are often more relaxed and open. They can see everything in front of them instead of looking for certain things.”,幸运的人可以看到眼前的一切,即注意到了作者偷偷在报纸中间放的一条大信息,所以划线部分的含义是“Notice”。
69.第一段指出“I gave both lucky and unlucky people a newspaper and asked them to look through it and tell me how many photos were inside.”及第三段指出“I find that unlucky people are just more nervous than lucky people. They are busy looking only for what they need and this stops them from noticing some surprising things.”
70.第三段指出“However, lucky people are often more relaxed and open.”和“Be open to new ideas and break your normal thought patterns.”,幸运的人往往更放松和开放。
After two or three classes in the morning, you may feel tired. Do you want to go outside? Primary and middle schools in many Chinese cities extend (延长) class breaks from 10 to 15 minutes. They want to encourage outdoor activities among students and teachers.
Students used to enjoy 10-minute breaks between classes. If students take classes on the third floor or above, a ten-minute break is not enough for them to go outside. This helps to make sure that students can take part in at least 30 minutes of exercise a day. For example, this policy has been implemented in some primary schools in Shanxi.
Most people think longer breaks are helpful. But is a 15-minute break really better? People have different ideas about it. Please read the chart below.
Li Mei, a student
After long-time reading and writing in class, students feel tired in their eyes. A 15-minute break gives them enough time to have a good rest. It’s a good idea.
An Ran, a student
Students can share interesting things with friends. It helps them feel close to each other and makes school life more fun. I really agree with it.
Mr Wu, a parent
A longer break doesn’t mean students will exercise. They may run in the hallways, which brings more safety problems.
71.Why do many schools extend class breaks?
72.How long can students exercise a day now?
73.What can students do during the breaks according to An Ran?
74.Who thinks differently according to the chart?
75.What do you think of 15-minute breaks? Why?
To encourage outdoor activities among students and teachers. 72.
At least 30 minutes. 73.
They can share interesting things with friends. 74.
Mr Wu. 75.
I think it is a good idea because students can have more time to relax and protect their eyes.
根据文章第1段“They want to encourage outdoor activities among students and teachers.(他们想鼓励学生和老师进行户外活动。)” To encourage outdoor activities among students and teachers.。
72.根据文章第2段“This helps to make sure that students can take part in at least 30 minutes of exercise a day.(这有助于确保学生每天至少能参加30分钟的锻炼。)” 故填At least 30 minutes.。
73.根据图表中An Ran所说的话“Students can share interesting things with friends.(学生们可以和朋友分享有趣的事情。)” They can share interesting things with friends.。
74.根据图表内容,Li Mei和An Ran都对延长课间表示赞同,而Mr Wu说“A longer break doesn’t mean students will exercise. They may run in the hallways, which brings more safety problems.(更长的休息时间并不意味着学生会锻炼。他们可能会在走廊里跑,这会带来更多的安全问题。)”可推知结论Mr Wu的想法与其他人不同。故填Mr Wu.。
75.本题为开放性问题,表达自己的观点并给出合理的理由即可。例如认为这是一个好主意,因为学生可以有更多的时间放松和保护眼睛。故填I think it is a good idea because students can have more time to relax and protect their eyes.

①Making friends is an important lesson for children to learn in life.
②A college in Australia did a study among local primary school students. The study shows 76% of students have a few good friends at school. Less than 10% of them say they seldom have a good friend at school. What’s more, 55% of students are good at making friends. And 75% of them often make friends with people different from them in personality (性格).
③To teach kids friend-making skills, people started a programme called UR Strong. It offers kids classes on friendships to help them make friends. “Friend-making skills are just as important to a child’s future as other basic (基本的) life skills.
☆See yourself as a lucky person before an important meeting or a phone call.

A.how lucky people differ from unlucky people
B.where we can find the chances
C.how we should look through the newspapers
D.how we can become lucky people

A.Lose. B.Notice. C.Accept. D.Prevent.
69.During this study, the unlucky people were probably ________.
A.counting the photos in the newspaper
B.trying to find chances in the newspaper
C.searching for the hidden message in the newspaper
D.reading the newspapers carefully
70.According to the study, how can we become luckier?
A.Listen to other people instead of ourselves.
B.Be more relaxed and open to something new.
C.Forget all about the past.
D.Only look for what we need.
Why?
