Chen Lin is a 14-year-old student from Hebei. Last year, she faced a big challenge: her English listening scores were always very low. She could read and write well, but whenever she listened to English, the words seemed to fly by too fast.
Chen Lin tried different methods. First, she tried listening to English songs every day. But she found that she paid more attention to the music than to the words. Then she tried watching English movies with Chinese subtitles. But she ended up reading the subtitles instead of listening.
Then her English teacher, Mr. Zhang, gave her some advice. He told her that she should start with short and simple listening materials. “Don’t try to understand every single word,” he said. “Just try to get the main idea first.” He also suggested that she should listen to the same material several times — first for the general idea, then for details, and finally while reading the transcript.
Chen Lin followed Mr. Zhang’s advice. Every morning, she listened to a three-minute English podcast while having breakfast. At first, she could only catch a few words. But after two months, she found that she could understand most of the content. Six months later, her listening score jumped from 12 to 26 out of 30.

参考答案
一、
1.A 2.A 3.B 4.D 5.B 6.C 7.D 8.B 9.C 10.B
结合原文asked her后为宾语从句,使用陈述语序,how she could do that意为“她如何做到那些事”,符合上下文逻辑。how could she do that、when could she do that是疑问语序,when she could do that中疑问词when与文意不符。
new something、new nothing语序错误,nothing new语义否定,与原文学习收获的主旨相反。
6.句意:课间休息时她会记忆几个法语单词。
words是可数名词复数,a few意为“一些,几个”,修饰可数名词,表肯定含义。a little、little修饰不可数名词,few表否定含义“几乎没有”。
7.句意:我对她的方法很感兴趣,决定试一试。
固定搭配decide to do sth表示“决定做某事”,to try意为“尝试”,贴合语境。to create符合搭配规则但语义不符,原形create、try不符合搭配规则。
8.句意:我下载了一些摄影线上课程,在碎片时间主动观看。
副词actively修饰动词watched,意为“主动地”,用来描述学习状态。active形容词、slow慢的、slowly缓慢地均不符合积极学习的语境。
9.句意:放学等父母来接我的时候,我会拍下吸引我目光的事物。
固定搭配wait for后接sb,意为“等待”,表达等候某人。of、about、from无法搭配wait表达等候含义。
10.句意:几个月后,我十分惊讶,因为我在很短时间内学到了很多东西。
全文为过去时态,主语I对应的be动词过去式是was,意为“是”。am、are一般现在时,were对应复数主语,存在语法错误。
二、
11.B 12.A 13.C 14.B 15.A 16.A 17.C 18.B 19.C 20.C
【导语】本文介绍了智能学习与传统学习的区别,阐述了在线学习的便利性与挑战,并提出合理使用时间及保持进步的建议。

根据“online platforms”及辅助学习可知,此处指学习“工具”。工具能辅助学习,tools符合逻辑。其他选项与学习辅助关联较弱。
13.句意:在线学习非常便利。
根据“We can take different courses at home.”可知,在家上课很“便利”,convenient符合逻辑。
14.句意:许多学生喜欢在网上搜索学习资源。
固定搭配“search for”意为“搜索”,且针对Internet资源常用“search”。符合逻辑。look for“寻找”比较泛指。
15.句意:为了学好,我们需要做笔记、复习功课。
根据后文提到的积极学习行为可知,目的是为了学“好”。study well是正面建议,well符合逻辑。其他选项均为负面副词,不符合建议导向。
16.句意:并与同学分享想法。
根据“with classmates”及合作学习可知,此处指“分享”想法,share符合逻辑。其他选项不利于合作学习。
17.句意:好的学习技能能让我们学习更高效。
根据“Good learning skills”可知,技能好则效率“高”,efficiently符合逻辑。
18.句意:然而,智能学习也带来一些挑战。
根据“However”转折及后文“spend too much time”问题可知,转折后引出问题,此处指“挑战”,challenges符合逻辑。其他选项均为正面词汇。
19.句意:所以我们应该学会好好管理我们的时间。
面对屏幕时间过长,需“管理”而非单纯节省,manage符合逻辑。其他选项不符合解决问题的逻辑。
20.句意:我们将每天保持取得进步。
根据固定搭配“keep doing sth.”意为“保持做某事”,keep后接动名词,making符合语法。其他选项形式错误。

29.根据第四段“Six months later, her listening score jumped from 12 to 26 out of 30”,可知陈琳在六个月后大幅提升了英语听力分数。
30.根据最后一段“I have learnt that the right method is more important than hard work alone”和“And I also learnt that improvement takes time. You just need to be patient and keep going”,说明从陈琳的经历中,我们可以知道正确的学习方法和长期的练习是进步的关键。

Mike Fuksman, Teens’ foreign editor from the United States, has lived in China for more than seven years. He wants to share his story of learning Chinese.
Like many foreigners, I only knew two words of Chinese (“hello” and “thank you”) when I came to China in 2009. My life was difficult for a while after I arrived. Simple tasks like ordering food or taking a taxi were quite stressful. I knew I had to learn more Chinese, so I took a Chinese language class. My teacher was very helpful, although I couldn’t have a real conversation. Later I studied on my own as well, but my progress was still slow. I became very upset. Finally, I found that the best way to learn Chinese is to make friends with native speakers (母语者). I started playing in a band with a Chinese woman who became my best friend in Beijing. I learned a lot of Chinese from her. She taught me a lot of words about music, such as “rhythm”. I’ve learned enough Chinese to take care of difficult tasks, such as booking train tickets. However, going to the bank is still difficult for me.
