一、真题再现(2026·全国I卷·高考真题)
阅读下面短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项。
I grew up in a little town in northeast Ohio. The realization of how little people knew about Ohio came quickly after I went to school in central Pennsylvania. Though I lived only three and a half hours away, most of my classmates thought of Ohio as a whole different world. "Do you have to fly home? Do you live on a farm?" The questions were never-ending. I was a novelty in their eyes.
As I grow older, I'm more and more thankful for my small town roots. Sure, my friends and I loved to complain about how bored we were in the middle of nowhere; however, as I finish up my junior year of college, I'm convinced that it took leaving our small town to realize how much we actually loved it and what exactly we loved about it.
The pace of life is slow and people value connecting to each other. You do more than just talk to your neighbors — in a lot of cases, they're truly an extension of your family. Much of this lifestyle centers around being outside and knowing the ins and outs of the town; being present and mindful of your surroundings is a critical part of the culture.
As I move through my college years, I look forward to the visits to my little hometown. I am grateful for the experience that I had growing up and know that wherever my next adventure takes me, I can trust my small town roots to lead me in the right direction.

六、语篇翻译(英译汉)
Passage 1
I grew up in a small town in the Midwest. The realization that the outside world knew little about my hometown came when I went to college in a big city. Though I was only a few hours away, my classmates often asked strange questions about my life. I was a novelty to them. As I get older, I feel increasingly thankful for my roots. My friends and I used to complain about being bored in the middle of nowhere; however, I've come to understand that it took leaving my hometown for me to truly value what I had there.
Passage 2
The small town I grew up in has a unique lifestyle that I deeply appreciate. People value genuine connections and treat their neighbors as an extension of their family. Being mindful of your surroundings is a critical part of the culture. As I go through college, I look forward to every visit back home. I am grateful for the experience of growing up there and I trust that my roots will always guide me in the right direction.
Passage 3
Many people complain about the slow pace of life in small towns, however, I have come to the realization that this pace is exactly what makes such places special. Leaving the city was a big adventure for me, but I have never regretted it. I have learned to trust my own choices and I am thankful for the people who have supported me along the way. The surroundings have a powerful influence on our well-being, and living in a peaceful environment has convinced me that a simpler life is often a happier one.
