I try to get students to recommend songs to me for the broadcast. In the broadcast, I usually announce who recommended the song and then play it for everyone to hear. I give everyone a chance to share themselves through their music, including one tough student of mine, Jerry. This student constantly gets into fights with other students. Most of the other teachers and students push him away. I knew though that he just needed a friend, or at least someone he can connect with. I could tell he was warming up to me over the last year. I told him to think of a song he likes that has some English words in it and that I’ll play it on the broadcast for him. He eventually recommended a song. I actually really liked the song so I put it on the broadcast and made sure to announce his name, so everyone knew that he contributed and recommended such a great song. Needless to say, the boy was excited, and he’s been much happier and focused in English class ever since. While everyone else misunderstood him and pushed him away, I saw right through and knew that he just needed someone who acknowledges (认可) him and gives him a chance. We can’t communicate fluently because of language, but words aren’t needed. You can always sense where you’re at with someone. He recently walked by me and gave me the most genuine (纯真的) smile that I’ve ever seen. My colleagues turned to me and said, “I’ve never seen him smile like that before. How did you get through to him?” I said, “Through just one song.” 24. Why do most teachers and students push Jerry away? A. He hates to study hard. B. He always fights and dislikes study. C. He recommends songs to broadcast. D. He dislikes to make friends with others. 25. What can we learn about Jerry? A. He is really helpful. B. He has a gift for music. C. He needs to be acknowledged. D. He has difficulty in doing lessons. 26. What’s Jerry’s attitude toward the author? A. Thankful. B. Angry. C. Worried. D. Doubtful. 27. What is this text probably? A. A historical event. B. An inspiring story. C. A science fiction. D. A research report. 24. B 25. C 26. A 27. The rate of people using AI to get some travel ideas has doubled in the past 12 months, up to 8 percent from 4 percent. The survey of 2,001 people also showed that younger generations are leading the way in using AI. The largest age group is 25- to 34-year-olds, with 18 percent looking for travel ideas through AI. That number drops to 13 percent for 18-to 24-year-olds. And only 3 percent of 55-to 64-year-olds are using AI for holiday tips. However, AI has not taken over just yet when it comes to researching trips, as Internet searches (48 percent) and recommendations from friends and family (41 percent) still remain the most common ways to choose where to go. In fact, people taking more traditional routes, such as looking through holiday brochures (手册), still take up 25 percent. Abta says that AI will continue to grow when it comes to trip planning. Holidaymakers have already shown a level of trust in AI for making travel decisions. 43 percent people in the survey said they would be confident to some degree in letting an AI tool plan their holiday, with this number dropping to just 38 percent letting the tool book their trip for them. Travel industry leaders state that AI will continue to be a big part of what customers do before they make a travel decision. According to them, AI will greatly influence the travel industry, but travellers still want to communicate with a travel company before booking trips. Travel companies will not vanish anytime soon, because of that group of customers who think it’s necessary to go in and look someone in the eye when they’re booking something. 28. How does the author develop paragraph 2? A. By using examples. B. By comparing AI tools. C. By explaining rules. D. By presenting numbers. 29. What is the most common way for people to make travel plans? A. Depending on AI tools. B. Asking for others’ advice. C. Searching the Internet. D. Reading the holiday advertisements. 30. What does the underlined word “vanish” in the last paragraph probably mean? A. Disappear. B. Enlarge. C. Succeed. D. Recover. 31. What does the text mainly talk about? A. The rapid development of AI tools. B. The rising role of AI in travel planning. C. The younger generations’ preference for AI. D. The great challenges faced by travel companies. D 29. C 30. A 31. 根据第二段的“2,001 people(2001个人)”,“18 percent(百分之18)”,“13 percent(百分之13)”和“3 percent(百分之3)”等可知,作者通过呈现具体的数字来强调AI对人们旅游选择的影响。 根据第三段的“However, AI has not taken over just yet when it comes to researching trips, as Internet searches (48 percent) and recommendations from friends and family (41 percent) still remain the most common ways to choose where to go.(然而,在旅行目的地的研究选择方面,人工智能尚未完全占据主导地位,因为互联网搜索(48%)以及亲朋好友的推荐(41%)仍是人们选择旅行去处时最常用的方式。)” 根据最后一段的“travellers still want to communicate with a travel company before booking trips(旅行者在预订行程前仍希望与旅行社进行沟通)”以及“because of that group of customers who think it’s necessary to go in and look someone in the eye when they’re booking something(这是因为有一部分顾客认为,在预订某样东西时,有必要亲自前往并与工作人员面对面交流)”可知,旅行者仍希望在预订旅行前与旅行社沟通,这部分消费者的需求让旅行社有存在的必要性。 故选A。 通读全文,尤其是第一段“AI has made its way into almost every field, and according to Abta’s latest Holiday Habits report, the travel industry is no exception. The rate of people using AI to get some travel ideas has doubled in the past 12 months, up to 8 percent from 4 percent.(人工智能几乎已渗透至各个领域,据英国旅行协会(Abta)最新发布的《度假习惯报告》显示,旅游业也不例外。在过去12个月里,借助人工智能获取旅行灵感的人数比例翻了一番,从4%升至8%。)”可知,全文围绕AI在旅行规划中日益凸显的作用展开,因此主旨是B选项“The rising role of AI in travel planning.(人工智能在旅行规划中日益重要的作用。)”。故选B。 D Mangoes, often called the “king of fruits”, have always been a subject of debate in diabetic (糖尿病) diets. For years, people with diabetes were advised to stay away from mangoes because of their natural sweetness and high sugar content. However, recent studies have begun to challenge this traditional wisdom, suggesting that mangoes may not be as harmful as once thought and might even provide health benefits when eaten properly. Mangoes are naturally rich in fructose (a type of sugar) and have a moderate (中度的) glycemic index (GI), which means they can cause a rise in blood sugar levels. Traditional dietary guidance often warned diabetic patients to keep off fruits with high sweetness, fearing sudden increases in glucose (葡萄糖). This is why mangoes were long considered off-limits for people struggling with diabetes. Recent research carried out in India, where mangoes are eaten widely, shows surprising results. Studies suggest that when eaten in a moderate amount, mangoes do not significantly raise blood sugar levels. In fact, the fruit contains dietary fiber, antioxidants, Vitamin C, and polyphenols, all of which can do great good to our body. Some studies also point out that useful things in mangoes may lower oxidative (氧化的) stress, which has something to do with health problems caused by diabetes. Researchers stress that the amount we eat is very important — having 1 or 2 pieces as part of a balanced meal is unlikely to do harm, and may even be good for our general health. For those living with diabetes who wish to enjoy mangoes, a sensible approach matters most. Rather than having a whole mango in one go, scientists advise having a few small bites alongside foods rich in protein or fiber, like nuts, yogurt or whole grains. By doing so, you slow down the body’s intake of sugar, and a sudden jump in blood glucose can be avoided. Doctors recommend that people with Type 2 Diabetes should not give up mangoes completely but rather focus on controlled intake. Watching blood sugar levels after eating mangoes can help individuals understand how their body responds. 32. What was the traditional suggestion for people with diabetes? A. Avoid eating mangoes totally. B. Eat a moderate amount of food. C. Watch after-meal blood sugar carefully. D. Balance different types of fruits in daily life. 33. What is a finding of the research in India? A. Mangoes have the lowest GI among all fruits. B. Oxidative stress is the main cause of diabetes. C. Mangoes aren’t harmful to people without diabetes. D. Mangoes don’t necessarily lead to a sharp blood sugar rise. 34. What is the main idea of paragraph 5? A. The main steps to control blood sugar levels. B. The best time to have mangoes for diabetic people. C. The proper way to include mangoes in a diabetic diet. D. The types of food that can lower blood glucose quickly. 35. What can be the best title for the text? A. Why Doctors Say No to Mangoes? B. How to Enjoy Mangoes Without Worry? C. Are Mangoes Safe for People with Diabetes? D. Is Diabetes an Unavoidable Disease for Modern Life? A 33. D 34. C 35. 根据第一段“For years, people with diabetes were advised to stay away from mangoes because of their natural sweetness and high sugar content.(多年来,患有糖尿病的人一直被建议避免食用芒果,因为这种水果天然含糖量高且糖分含量颇高)”以及第二段“This is why mangoes were long considered off-limits for people struggling with diabetes.(这就是为什么长期以来,芒果一直被认为是糖尿病患者不宜食用的食物)”可知,对于糖尿病患者,传统的建议是完全避免食用芒果。故选A。 根据第三段“Studies suggest that when eaten in a moderate amount, mangoes do not significantly raise blood sugar levels.(研究表明,适量食用芒果并不会显著升高血糖水平)”可知,印度的研究得出的结论是芒果并不一定会导致血糖急剧上升。 根据第五段“For those living with diabetes who wish to enjoy mangoes, a sensible approach matters most. Rather than having a whole mango in one go, scientists advise having a few small bites alongside foods rich in protein or fiber, like nuts, yogurt or whole grains. By doing so, you slow down the body’s intake of sugar, and a sudden jump in blood glucose can be avoided.(对于患有糖尿病且希望享用芒果的患者来说,采取合理的方法最为重要。科学家建议不要一次性吃掉整个芒果,而是在食用富含蛋白质或纤维的食物(如坚果、酸奶或全谷物)的同时,分几次小口品尝芒果。这样可以减缓身体对糖分的吸收速度,从而避免血糖突然大幅上升的情况发生)”可知,第五段的主要观点是在糖尿病饮食中合理添加芒果的方法。故选C。 【35题详解】 主旨大意题。根据第三段“Recent research carried out in India, where mangoes are eaten widely, shows surprising results. Studies suggest that when eaten in a moderate amount, mangoes do not significantly raise blood sugar levels. In fact, the fruit contains dietary fiber, antioxidants, Vitamin C, and polyphenols, all of which can do great good to our body.(在印度进行的一项最新研究显示出了令人惊讶的结果。 Your bedroom should feel like a place for rest and relaxation. He bought it with three months of pocket money saved bit by bit and loved it more than anything else. He always warned everyone not to touch it, saying it was his treasure. Every time I visited him, I would have a look at the boat secretly, wondering how it felt in my hands. One afternoon when I visited, my cousin went out to buy snacks, leaving me alone in his room. The model boat shone in the sunlight, attracting me greatly. I couldn’t resist (抵抗) it any longer, so I walked over and carefully picked it up. I moved my hand over its smooth surface, feeling excited. Suddenly, my hand slipped (滑) and the boat fell to the floor with a loud noise, its side broken off. I couldn’t move, my heart beating wildly. Fear filled my mind, and I quickly put the broken boat back on the desk, pretending (假装) nothing had happened and went out of his room at once. Minutes later, my cousin came back with a bag of tasty snacks in his hand. He shared them happily with me. We chatted and laughed about our little joys as usual, enjoying the sweet treats together, and the whole afternoon was filled with warm and happy moments. I tried my best to calm my nervous heart and act as if nothing bad had happened, forcing a smile all the time. When it was time for me to leave, my cousin patted my shoulder gently and invited me to go to his room with him. “Come on, let’s admire my favorite model boat together,” he said with bright eyes, walking towards his room cheerfully. At that moment, my heart fell suddenly, and my hands turned cold immediately. I knew that the broken treasure was waiting for us right there, but didn’t know how to face what was about to come. As soon as my cousin saw the broken boat, he cried loudly. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ In the end, we agreed on repairing the boat together. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】范文 As soon as my cousin saw the broken boat, he cried loudly. His eyes turned red instantly, and he picked up the boat tremblingly, staring at the broken side in disbelief. “Who did this?” he asked, his voice choked with tears. I felt so guilty that I lowered my head, bit my lip, and told him the truth bravely. I apologized repeatedly, explaining that I didn’t mean to break it and that I was too curious to resist touching it. He stopped crying slowly, looking at me with a mix of sadness and disappointment. In the end, we agreed on repairing the boat together. My cousin wiped his tears and took out some glue and small tools from his drawer. We sat side by side at the desk, carefully applying glue to the broken part and holding it tightly until it was fixed. During the process, we didn’t say much, but the awkwardness gradually disappeared. When we finished, though there was still a small mark, the boat looked almost the same as before. My cousin smiled at me, and I knew he had forgiven me. That day, I learned that honesty is more precious than any treasure. 词汇激活 行为类 ①完成:finish/accomplish ②消失:disappear/vanish ③看着:look at/stare at 情绪类 ①悲伤:sadness/sorrow ②宝贵的:precious/valuable 【点睛】[高分句型1] He stopped crying slowly, looking at me with a mix of sadness and disappointment.(运用了现在分词作状语) [高分句型2] When we finished, though there was still a small mark, the boat looked almost the same as before.(运用了when引导时间状语从句) 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 高一英语 考生注意: 1. Who has borrowed the woman’s bike? B As the foreign English teacher at my school in Japan, I have a weekly English music broadcast. C AI has made its way into almost every field, and according to Abta’s latest Holiday Habits report, the travel industry is no exception. D Mangoes, often called the “king of fruits”, have always been a subject of debate in diabetic (糖尿病) diets. D.
