高一英语必修一Unit 3单元综合练习 第一节阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C和D四个选项中,选出最佳选项。(共15小题;每小题2.5分,满分37.5分) A Learn more about where your food comes from the next time you dine out… Well, thanks to these food apps, you can find the right food with minimal effort. Seafood Watch was born out of the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Its primary goal is to help people eat seafood with less impact on the environment. It functions by helping you understand which types of fish are considered sustainable. For example, blue point oysters from Florida are considered a “best choice”, whereas Pacific bigeye tuna is rated “avoid”. HappyCow is one of the most convenient apps I’ve come across. You can be anywhere and with a click of a button, find a restaurant near you that offers vegetarian food for people who don’t eat fish or meat. I’ve used this while traveling in big cities like Toronto or remote areas like St. Moritz. It also has a great recipe section if you’re in the mood for cooking. GoodGuide is a tool that rates food and other products on safety, health and moral principles. They take a look at the product’s ingredients(成分), its environmental impact and the company’s attention to labor rights and helping its community. Products are then scored from a low of 0 to a high of 10. The higher the rating, the better the product from a health perspective. EWG’s Food Scores is a database created to let consumers make healthier, greener food choices. It was launched in 2014 and has ratings for more than 80,000 products. Their database rates foods on a scale of 1.0 to 10.0, with 1.0 being the best product, based on nutrition, ingredients and how it is processed. Since 2014, there have been over 32 million searches on the site. 1.Which app is best for someone who avoids meat? A.Seafood Watch. B.HappyCow. C.GoodGuide. D.EWG’s Food Scores. 2.What is a feature of EWG’s Food Scores? A.It helps people eat environment-friendly food. B.It focuses on social responsibilities. C.The lower the rating, the worse the product. D.The more nutritious the food, the higher the rating. 3.What is the main purpose of this text? A.To introduce knowledge about food. B.To encourage healthy eating habits. C.To advertise four green phone apps. D.To recommend some food-related apps. B Teenagers often have a bad reputation, with parents saying they struggle to get through to them, and get confused by teenage slang. But many of the common beliefs about teenagers are myths. They aren't all lazy and rude, as a new report suggests. A study of 184 teens has shown how their adolescent friendships prepare them for parenting. The group was followed for over 30 years, starting from the age of 13. Each year, group members selected their closest friend to take part in the study with them. Attending a lab in their chosen pairs, the friend asked for advice on a problem, and responses were scored in relation to four core aspects of empathy(同情): emotional support, instrumental support, emotional engagement, and interpretation of their friend's problem. When members of the group began having children, they were asked different questions relating to their parenting style. This came in the form of 12 hypothetical(假设的) situations where their child expressed a negative emotion, and they said how they'd respond. Their responses were labelled either supportive or nonsupportive. The results showed one important correlation—those teens who had been more empathetic made more supportive parents. The study also explored how much empathy participants received from their own parents. Unsurprisingly, those with emotionally supportive parents appeared naturally more empathetic towards their friends, continuing to emulate their upbringing into adulthood. Although the teens with unsupportive parents sometimes became harsh parents, this wasn't always the case. Some were able to break cycles of poor empathy, and despite difficult upbringing, were still able to demonstrate keen empathy in their adolescent friendships. Dr. Jessica A.Stern, the study author, concludes, “Adults often underestimate the importance of teens being able to spend time with their friends. But experiences in close, supportive friendships as a teenager are actually really important for healthy development. They provide an essential context for developing critical social skills like empathy, responding appropriately to difficult emotions, and even later parenting.” 4. What can we infer from Paragraph 1? A. Teenagers aren't what they used to be. B. People get the wrong idea about teenagers. C. The early parentchild relationship is important. D. Young people trust their friends more than adults do. 5. Who will be supportive parents according to the study? A. Teenagers who grow up with strict parents. B. Teenagers who make many friends at school. C. Teenagers who are independent of their parents. D. Teenagers who show empathy for close friends. 6. What does the underlined word “emulate” in Paragraph 4 probably mean? A. Reveal. B. Copy. C. Change. D. Record. 7. What does Dr. Jessica A.Stern think of adolescent friendships? A. They develop over time. B. They are hard to maintain. C. They turn into love sometimes. D. They have a strong effect on teenagers. C Relationships—romantic or not—are full of disappointment and frustration(沮丧).Even the most sincere and loving friends will have differing opinions.Sometimes, our heart breaks when our friends arrive.Imagine this:you've just painted a picture you consider a great work, but the meaningful smile on your friends'face upon seeing it tells you that, however highly they praise your painting,it is no masterpiece to them. People have long sought ways to circumvent these frustrations with art or technology. An old Roman tale tells of a man who once made his ideal friend out of stone, which was later brought to life through his prayer and communicated only with him.Similarly, modern young people also refuse undesirable socializing by watching movies and surfing the Internet.Sometimes it seems as if we can't live with people.Yet,as social beings,we can't live without them. When I first began having conversations with ChatGPT,I wondered if I had found a new friend. The chatbot seemed able to discuss anything. We had discussion on countless topics,in which it seemed to willingly accept some of my arguments, and its conclusion mirrored my own thoughts in a way that made me think,“Yes,we're on the same wavelength!” As a friend,ChatGPT has qualities that a human friend could hardly match. It can offer a wealth of knowledge on any subject although sometimes it may repeat misinformation or make minor mistakes.Furthermore,it will never tell you that it is too busy or not in the mood to talk with you. However,if we cannot accept the frustrations brought by human friends, there is a great chance that we can't really know ourselves, and thus we won't really grow. How do you react when you realize that your painting is actually not a great one?You won't know unless you show it to someone and get a true and honest answer. When you and your friend want to do different things, will you compromise(妥协)or force your ideas on your friend?ChatGPT won't give you the responses you expect from a human friend. However enjoyable your discussions with it may be,the relationships you develop with your fellow humans have no equal. 8.What does the example in paragraph 1 show? A.The possibility of friends lying to you. B.The difference in opinions between friends. C.The difficulty in creating a great artwork. D.The importance of seeking friends'praise. 9.What does the underlined word“circumvent”in paragraph 2 mean? A.Experience. B.Face. C.Avoid. D.Judge. 10.What makes ChatGPT seem like a good friend? A.It's knowledgeable and like-minded. B.It never makes a mistake in discussion. C.It considers your painting a great work. D.It allows you to know yourself and grow. 11.What does the author want to say according to the text? A.There is no replacement for human friends. B.Humans should avoid all social activities. C.Technology and art are better than friendship. D.ChatGPT is the perfect friend for everyone. D Last summer, I volunteered at a small woodworking studio in the old district of our city. It was there that I met Mr. Chen, a 58-year-old master craftsman(工匠) whose hands told stories of working with wood for decades. While his workshop was filled with traditional tools, what he created was non-traditional wooden furniture(家具) that perfectly mixed classic craftsmanship with modern design. What impressed me most was Mr. Chen’s unique opinion on what he called “new-era craftsmanship”. Though he learned woodworking from his father as a teenager, he never used old methods only. Recognizing the changing taste of younger customers, he spent evenings teaching himself 3-D modeling software and weekends researching green materials like bamboos and water-based finishes. I saw his new methods firsthand when a young couple asked for a bookshelf for their small apartment. They needed something that could save space and be eco-friendly and easy to take apart for potential moves. Mr. Chen accepted the challenge happily. Over the next week, he created many digital prototypes(数字原型), experimented with three different types of wood, and reinvented old skills to create connecting parts that required no metal pieces. I often found him working late, his hands carefully testing each part. When I asked why he spent so much time on what seemed like a simple project, he stopped his work and smiled. “True craftsmanship isn’t about copying what people in the past did without thinking,” he explained. “It’s about understanding the true value of tradition while having the courage to change it for today’s world.” To explain his point, he showed me two bookshelves — one he made twenty years ago, beautiful in its strong structure, and the new prototype, which used thirty percent less material but was just as strong and more useful for modern living. Through Mr. Chen’s example, I came to understand that new-era craftsmanship stands for the perfect mix of hard work and new ideas. It honors the past while accepting the future, proving that excellence comes not from doing one thing forever, but from doing it well with a never-stopping spirit. 12.Why did the author mention traditional tools in paragraph 1? A.To tell the wisdom of past generations. B.To stress Mr. Chen’s source of inspiration. C.To praise the spirit of traditional craftsmanship. D.To show their difference from Mr. Chen’s modern ideas. 13.What can be inferred from the young couple’s requests? A.Craftsmen need to keep up with the times. B.Young people like new methods. C.Traditional craftsmanship has greatly changed. D.Modern ways are different from traditional ones. 14.What does “true craftsmanship” mean in Mr. Chen’s view? A.Creating products with few materials. B.Keeping working hard through testing. C.Mixing digital methods with traditional ones. D.Changing traditional wisdom for modern use. 15.What does Mr. Chen’s story show? A.The best of both worlds. B.If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it. C.Two sides of the same coin. D.What is new is not always better. 第二节阅读下面短文, 从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。(共5小题:每小题2. 5分, 满分12. 5分) The Art of Being a Good Friend Everyone wants to be a good friend, but sometimes we might not be sure what it truly means.Being a good friend isn't just about having fun together;it's about the everyday efforts that strengthen your bond. 1 It's built on a basis of trust, support, and respect. Trust is the first essential element.A trustworthy friend always keeps his promise. If you say you're going to do something, follow through. 2 You may feel safe sharing your true thoughts and feelings without fear of being laughed at or having your secrets told to others. Another key part is offering support in both good and bad times.Celebrate your friends'successes as if they were your own. 3 Simply being there, offering a kind word,or helping them with a small task can make a world of difference. 4 This includes listening to them without interruption and valuing their opinions even when you disagree. At its heart, respect means that you accept your friends for who they are.No one is perfect, and disagreements are normal. 5 Talk things through honestly, and be willing to forgive each other. As a matter of fact,a true friend values the friendship more than the need to be right. In the end, being a good friend is a continuous process of learning, understanding, and caring. A.This doesn't require grand gestures. B.What matters is how you handle them. C.It also creates a safe space for honesty. D.However,it's equally important to be there during tough times. E.True friendship goes beyond simply sharing hobbies or interests. F.Respect, the third pillar, is shown through your actions and attitudes. G.Finally, remember that friendship is a two-way street that requires effort from both sides. 第三节阅读下面短文, 从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。(共15小题:每小题1分,满分15分) Observing (观察) nature can be a helpful method for young students to discuss and understand their emotions in a peaceful learning environment.
