I’ll wear the blue one. 2. What is the man stressed about? A. Which university to apply to. B. How to ask his teacher for help. C. What to write in the application letter. M: I’m so stressed about applying to university. I don’t know what to put on my application letter. Dinner will start soon, and while you’re enjoying your meal, there’ll be a bad person hidden among you. But don’t worry, you’ll have time to find him out. You and your fellow guests will have to use the information you have to uncover the identity of the bad person and the reason behind his bad act. Don’t trust anyone around you. In this game, you have no teammates. In your room, you’ll find a box. Inside is an envelope; open it and you’ll find the name and details of your character. Please memorize them and do not bring the letter with you to dinner. You’ll also find some clothes to wear that match your character. You don’t have to wear them, but it does help you get more into the game. If the bad person isn’t found out by 11:00 p.m., our hotel manager will announce his identity. Lastly, we would ask that you do not bring your mobile phone with you. The whole point of the evening is to get you to communicate, which would be difficult if you are staring at your phone. Okay, now, please enjoy yourselves. A 12th SCAR Open Science Conference SCAR (Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research) warmly invites you to the 12th SCAR Open Science Conference, taking place in Oslo, Norway, from 8-19 August 2026, where we will gather under the theme “Diving into Antarctic Science — Making Waves for the Future.” Programme at a Glance 8-9 & 16 August: Business Meetings & Satellite Events A space for SCAR programmes and partners to meet and discuss their business workshops and satellite events. 10-14 August: Open Science Conference Five days of inspiring talks, poster sessions and social activities in and around Oslo that inspire new ideas and collaborations across Antarctic science. 15 August: Science Group Business Meetings A day for Science Groups to share progress, discuss priorities, and kick-start joint projects with colleagues from around the world. 17-19 August: Delegates (代表) Meeting SCAR Delegates gather to review outcomes, make key decisions, and help set SCAR’s direction for the coming years. It was loosely inspired by NBA star Stephen Curry, who voiced one of the characters. The actors who recorded the film’s background voices — called a loop group (循环配音组) — were also remarkable. GOAT was the first major studio film to use a loop group entirely made up of individuals with disabilities. The actors who did the work in GOAT are known as The Disability Loop Group, and they include people with physical or other disabilities. The group was created in 2024 through the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge (EDFC), a filmmaking contest that requires all entries to have a person with a disability in the film or behind the camera. The EDFC was founded 13 years ago by disabled actor and comedian Nic Novicki, who was part of the nearly two dozen actors in GOAT’s loop group. Their voices can be heard in the opening scene, chanting “Roots run deep!” in a stadium. They also voiced the crowds in other stadium scenes. GOAT co-director Adam Rosette, who is hard of hearing, believes that the actors gave the film more meaning. In a video about the film, he said, “We’ve got underdogs everywhere in the cast, in the background voices of our film — it comes off as genuine, and you can feel it.” Novicki called the historic inclusion of the actors “truly exciting.” He told Variety, “Like Will in GOAT, these talented artists earned a chance to show what they can do.” 24. What is a unique feature of the film GOAT? A. It is voiced by a famous NBA star. B. It features many disabled main actors. C. Its story is inspired by a real sports story. D. It employs an entirely disabled loop group. 25. What does paragraph 2 mainly talk about? A. The founder and attendees of EDFC. B. The history and limitation of the group. C. The background and work of the group. D. The establishment and influence of EDFC. 26. What does the underlined word “underdogs” in paragraph 3 probably mean? A. Artists full of great talents. B. People facing disadvantages. C. Actors enjoying high respect. D. Athletes with physical weakness. 27. What is the best title for the text? A. A Film about a Struggling Athlete. B. Disabled Actors Make Film History. C. Gifted Artists Earned a Valuable Chance. D. The Rise of Disabled Actors in the Film Industry. D 25. C 26. B 27. 根据第一段中“GOAT was the first major studio film to use a loop group entirely made up of individuals with disabilities.(《GOAT》是首部启用完全由残障人士组成的循环配音组的大厂出品电影。)” 根据第二段“The actors who did the work in GOAT are known as The Disability Loop Group, and they include people with physical or other disabilities. They also voiced the crowds in other stadium scenes.(参与《GOAT》配音工作的演员们组成了“残障循环配音组”,成员包含肢体残障及其他类型残障人士。 根据第三段中“GOAT co-director Adam Rosette, who is hard of hearing, believes that the actors gave the film more meaning. In a video about the film, he said, “We’ve got underdogs everywhere in the cast, in the background voices of our film — it comes off as genuine, and you can feel it.”(《GOAT》的联合导演亚当·罗塞特自身存在听力障碍,他认为这些演员为影片赋予了更多意义。在关于影片的视频中他表示:“我们的演员阵容、影片的背景配音里处处都是underdogs——这份感受格外真挚,你能真切体会到。”)”可知,配音组由残障人士组成,影片的背景配音里处处都是身处劣势的人。underdogs意为“身处劣势的人”。 【27题详解】 主旨大意题。全文核心围绕《GOAT》这部电影启用全残障循环配音组这一具有开创性的影史事件展开,最贴合的标题是“残障演员创造影史新纪录”。 C The interconnection of different species forms a complex web of life, where each species supports the balance of nature, ensuring the stability of ecosystems. When species become endangered or go extinct, it disturbs this balance and can have far-reaching effects on other species. Some endangered animals serve as “ecosystem engineers”, actively contributing to the protection and maintenance of their environments. For instance, elephants play a vital part in spreading seeds as they move across their habitats. By consuming fruits and excreting (排泄) seeds in different locations, elephants support the creation of new habitats and the growth of diverse plant species. Seals are important in maintaining balance within marine food webs. They occupy a unique position in the ecological chain. Their presence develops nutrient cycling, as they consume marine organisms and excrete waste in coastal habitats, fertilizing the surrounding environment. Endangered species are not just essential for ecological reasons; they also hold great cultural and traditional significance for many communities around the world. One example can be seen in the beliefs of the Mazahua people in Mexico. They consider the monarch butterflies as the spirits of their late loved ones. “Monarch butterflies are our ancestors, returning to guide us onto our spiritual journey,” says a Mazahua elder. Additionally, African elephants have deep cultural connections with local communities across Africa, which represent wisdom, strength, and a profound connection to their people. They are often central figures in traditional stories, dances, and ceremonies, contributing to preserving cultural identity and passing down ancestral knowledge. By protecting endangered species like these, we enhance a deeper appreciation for the rich biodiversity and ensure the continuity of valued cultural traditions. Biodiversity is the web of life that sustains us all. The loss of species threatens the function of ecosystems and influences our own well-being. It is our duty to protect endangered species for the sake of our planet and future generations. 28. What does the first paragraph indicate? A. Ecosystems are facing great dangers. B. Different species should be connected. C. Ecological balance can be easily broken. D. Each species helps keep nature balanced. 29. What does the author try to illustrate by mentioning elephants and seals? A. Their eating habits. B. Their living habitats. C. Their ecological roles. D. Their value for humans. 30. What’s the importance of protecting endangered species according to paragraph 3? A. It enriches cultural diversity. B. It ensures the stability of ecosystem. C. It enhances the connection with people. D. It carries forward precious cultural traditions. 31. What is the main purpose of the text? A. To explain the balance ecosystems. B. To presume the significance of threatened species. C. To advocate for the protection of endangered animals. D. To discuss the functions of different species in nature. D 29. C 30. D 31. 根据第一段中的“The interconnection of different species forms a complex web of life, where each species supports the balance of nature, ensuring the stability of ecosystems.(不同物种的相互联系构成复杂的生命之网,其中每个物种都维系着自然的平衡,保障生态系统的稳定)”可知,每个物种都助力维持大自然的平衡。 根据第三段中的“By protecting endangered species like these, we enhance a deeper appreciation for the rich biodiversity and ensure the continuity of valued cultural traditions.(通过保护这类濒危物种,我们能更加珍视丰富的生物多样性,并确保珍贵文化传统的延续)”可知,保护濒危物种能够传承珍贵的文化传统。 通读全文可知,文章先介绍濒危物种的生态价值、文化价值,结合最后一段“It is our duty to protect endangered species for the sake of our planet and future generations.(为了地球和子孙后代,保护濒危物种是我们的责任)”可知,本文旨在呼吁大众保护濒危动物。 D Each New Year, we promise to reshape our body, improve our career and develop new hobbies. We commit ourselves to doing more — more exercise, more work and more activities. On its face, aiming for more sounds pretty good. But it also has a dark side that we need to resist. As a neuropsychologist, much of my work focuses on how people respond to stress and helps them understand the effects of self-defeating behaviors that I call the Overs. It’s a familiar list: overworking, overachieving, overthinking, overexplaining and overgiving. We take part in the Overs to seek psychological safety. When feeling anxiety, stress or uncertainty, threat networks in our brains activate, arousing fear. To restore order, we take extra actions to relieve that fear. For example, you might overwork to avoid your boss’s anger, but the deeper reason is to ease stress from the fear of that outcome. However, the Overs themselves become a primary source of psychological risk. High-achieving individuals often feel they must overdo it to stay safe or on top, yet this self-protection turns harmful. Consider overachieving — the tireless drive for high performance. Conventional wisdom holds that “pursuing one’s best” builds perseverance and boosts productivity. Recent research contradicts this: constant efforts to be the best performer don’t make you the best, but they pose a serious threat to your mental and physical health. A study by a team of Chinese researchers found that perfectionism was related to greater anxiety and depression. Researchers at Vanderbilt University found that overachievers had higher levels of dopamine, a chemical related to motivation and addiction, creating a cycle — the more you overfunction, the more you want to overfunction. To get out of the control of the Overs, it’s important to see them for what they are. Below, I have provided a guide for us to think more intelligently about our behavior and find the needed balance. 32. Why do people engage in the Overs according to paragraph 3? A. To lessen inner stress and anxiety. B. To activate the networks of the brain. C. To restore the relationship with others. D. To pursue mental fitness and satisfaction. 33. What is people’s traditional opinion about overachieving? A. It increases psychological risks. B. It meets people’s desire to excel. C. It changes self-protection into harm. D. It improves willpower and efficiency. 34. How does the author explain the influence of overachieving? A. By citing related study findings. B. By listing various health problems. C. By comparing results from researches. D. By analyzing the function of a chemical. 35. What might the author continue talking about? A. Root causes of inner anxiety. B. Further harms of perfectionism. C. Specific ways to escape the Overs. D. Practical tips to set yearly resolutions. A 33. D 34. A 35. 根据原文第三段“We take part in the Overs to seek psychological safety. When feeling anxiety, stress or uncertainty, threat networks in our brains activate, arousing fear. To restore order, we take extra actions to relieve that fear.(我们做出各类过度行为是为了寻求心理安全感。 根据原文第五段“A study by a team of Chinese researchers found that perfectionism was related to greater anxiety and depression. Researchers at Vanderbilt University found that overachievers had higher levels of dopamine, a chemical related to motivation and addiction, creating a cycle — the more you overfunction, the more you want to overfunction.(一组中国研究人员开展的研究发现完美主义与更严重的焦虑、抑郁相关。范德堡大学的研究人员发现过度追求成就的人体内多巴胺水平更高,多巴胺是一种和动力、成瘾相关的化学物质,这会形成一个循环 —— 你越是过度拼命,就越想继续过度拼命。)” 可知,作者是通过引用多项相关研究结果来阐释过度追求成就带来的影响。 【35题详解】 推理判断题。根据原文第六段“To get out of the control of the Overs, it’s important to see them for what they are. Below, I have provided a guide for us to think more intelligently about our behavior and find the needed balance.(想要摆脱各类过度行为的控制,认清它们的本质十分重要。下文我提供了一份指引,帮助我们更理性地看待自身行为,找到所需的平衡。)”可知,作者接下来会谈论摆脱各类过度行为的具体方法。 第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 A teenager from central Iowa has earned high praise as a hero, risking his own safety to rescue a woman from her burning house. ____36____ Seventeen-year-old Marek Dessimoz was enjoying a golf game with family in Johnston last Sunday when he saw the flames from a nearby house. “We kind of were shocked,” he said. “We yelled out, ‘There’s a fire!’ No one was really there. Marek’s mother regarded his brave behavior as the best Mother’s Day gift she had ever received. Meanwhile, the local fire chief spoke highly of Marek’s action, saying it was the timely manner that really saved the woman’s life. Apart from the rescued woman, no one else got hurt in the fire. ____40____ However, the house is a total loss, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. A. Leo, a quiet and thoughtful boy, had a deep passion for robotics. For months, he had secretly been working on a project he called “Project GreenHand” — a small, solar-powered robot designed to help water the plants and check soil wetness in the school’s community garden. He believed it could make a real difference. However, there was a problem. His best friend, Sam, was also entering the fair with a flashy drone (无人机) that could take overhead photos. Everyone thought Sam would win easily. When Sam saw Leo’s simple robot, he laughed. “Come on, Leo, that looks like a shoebox with wheels. Build something cooler.” Leo felt his face burn with embarrassment. He looked down at his creation — it wasn’t beautiful, but every wire and sensor was placed with care. He remembered the hours spent studying solar energy and coding. However, comparing his plain robot to Sam’s high-tech drone, Leo realized a cruel truth: in a contest of “coolness”, practical use might not matter. If the judges found it boring, all his efforts would be a joke. Leo’s heart sank. Maybe Sam was right. Maybe his project was too simple to win. The next day, Leo decided to give up. He put “Project GreenHand” in a box and pushed it to the back of his closet (壁橱). When the day of the fair arrived, Leo walked through the gym, feeling empty. He saw Sam’s drone flying high, attracting a crowd of cheering students. Just then, he noticed Mr. Green, a school gardener sitting alone on a bench near the garden, looking tired. Leo walked over. “Mr. Green, are you okay?” he asked. The old man sighed. “It’s just so much work, Leo. My back is hurting, and the garden is so big. I wish I had a helper.” A sudden thought struck Leo. He didn’t need a big fair to prove his idea was good. He needed to show it could help. 注意: 1.续写词数应为150个左右; 2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 Leo took out his robot and brought it straight to the garden. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Soon, the news of “Project GreenHand” spread across the school. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】(one possible version) Leo took out his robot and brought it straight to the garden. He quickly switched on the robot, whose solar panels caught the sunlight and started to work steadily. Moving slowly and gently, the robot precisely checked soil wetness and watered the dry plants one by one. Seeing the simple robot do all the dull garden work, Mr. Green’s face broke into a bright smile. He sighed with relief, saying it was exactly the helper he had long wished for. A warm sense of pride filled Leo’s heart, making him realize the true value of his creation. Soon, the news of “Project GreenHand” spread across the school. Crowds of students came to watch the practical robot work in the garden, and even Sam was astonished by its great performance. At the Science Fair, Leo didn’t win the first prize, but he won a special Community Impact Award. The headmaster spoke highly of his work, stating that the essence of science is solving real-life problems. Leo finally understood that cool high-tech devices are never superior to creations that bring warmth and convenience to life. 词汇激活 行为类 ①启动:switch on →turn on/power up ②解决:solve → address/tackle 情绪类 ①惊讶的:astonished → amazed/shocked ②宽慰:relief → ease/comfort 【点睛】【高分句型1】He quickly switched on the robot, whose solar panels caught the sunlight and started to work steadily. C The interconnection of different species forms a complex web of life, where each species supports the balance of nature, ensuring the stability of ecosystems. D Each New Year, we promise to reshape our body, improve our career and develop new hobbies. D. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $泰安市高二年级期末考试英语试题。 Do you think I should wear the blue or black suit to the . job interview? neither.
