Fête du Citron, Menton, France
Locals in the French Riviera town have been cultivating lemon trees since the 16th century and, each February, they honour their beloved fruit with a twoweek carnival. The town becomes a lemon wonderland, featuring giant artworks made from 150 tons of lemons and oranges. In addition to parades, there are visits to local producers and many lemonrelated dishes to enjoy at the town's restaurants.

The Ocean Festival, now in its third year, is already making waves.Held on all five islands of this island group, the event highlights the area's rich maritime heritage.Activities include exploring tide pools, boat rowing, visiting sunken ships, swimming at sunset, watching seals, and kayaking. On land, visitors can walk along scenic coastal paths and see fields of wildflowers.
Songkran Festival, Thailand

March 14 is right around the corner, and math learners know 1.____________ that means. It's Pi Day, a holiday honoring one of math's most famous constants(常量): pi.
The number pi, or π, is equal to the circumference(圆周长) of a circle 2.________ (divide) by the circle's diameter(直径).That comes out to about 3.14159.This is true for circles of all sizes, from 3.____________ (penny) to pizzas to planets.Pi's value is often rounded to 3.14.That's why Pi Day 4.____________ (celebrate) on March 14.It's also why one Earthsized planet orbiting another star every 3.14 days is nicknamed “Pi Earth.”
But the exact value of pi is 5.____________ (actual) impossible to write out.Last year, a 6.____________ (power) computer calculated pi to recordbreaking 62.8 trillion(万亿) figures. And in 2005, one 23yearold used clever mental tricks to recite nearly 68,000 of those figures from memory. No one, though, will ever get to 7.____________ end of pi.

故填what。]
故填is celebrated。]
故填the。]
故填for。]
故填to build。]
