根据后文“seven birds in a tree, seven steps to his school, and even seven stars in the evening sky.(树上的七只鸟,去学校的七个台阶,甚至夜空中的七颗星星。)”

文中第一段明确提到“One sunny morning, the question ‘What is happiness?’ came into her mind.”,这直接表明那天早晨天气是晴朗的。
Bird said, ‘Happiness is like the sunrise (日出)—warm and bright.’”,说明是鸟夫人认为幸福像日出。
23.第三段提到“Then Lily went to a mountain. As she climbed (爬) it, she met an old turtle (龟).”,这表明Lily是在山上遇到乌龟的。

根据文章开头“A long time ago, the birds of the forest had no king…” 故选A。
根据“‘Who’s going to beat me? You?’
本文按故事发展顺序叙述;根据第一段“All the birds thought they needed a king”可知,鸟儿们认为他们需要一个国王,对应③;根据第四段“All the birds took to the air.”可知,所有的鸟都飞起来了,对应④;根据第六段“He flew just over the Eagle’s head and cried out, ‘... I am now flying higher than you.’”可知,麻雀飞得比鹰高,对应②;根据最后一段“From then on, Sparrow had a short tail.”
根据第四段“they could not fly very high and fast for long”可知,它们无法长时间高速飞行;根据下文“Only Eagle went on flying”可知,只有老鹰继续飞行。 故选A。

This story reminds me that we should never give up when we meet difficulties.
41.根据“One day, 7-year-old Sarah watched her mother roasting (烤) a piece of beef sirloin (里脊).” Her mother roasted a piece of beef sirloin.
42.根据“Then she covered it with gravy.” Her mother put gravy on the beef sirloin at last.
43.根据“After thinking for a minute, Mom answered that it was the way that her mother cooked it.” Sarah’s grandma.
44.根据“After thinking, Grandma said she cooked the meat the way as her mother did.” Because she cooked the meat the way as her mother did.
45.根据“Great-grandma was quite old and lived in a residential nursing home (养老院) in England.” Sarah’s great-grandma lived in England.
