Copenhagen's Transport Options
Public transport in Copenhagen is inexpensive and easy to use. You can pay per journey in cash at a machine in a metro or train station or in person on a bus.
Copenhagen Card
The Copenhagen Card gives you unlimited public transport in the capital region of Denmark, plus free entry to over 80 museums and attractions.
City Pass
You can also buy a City Pass, a digital travel ticket for unlimited public transport over a 24,48,72,96 or 120hour period, costing from DKK 80 for 24 hours for unlimited travel in Copenhagen zones 1-4, including the airport. There is a version for adults and another for children over 12. You can take two children under 12 years for free. Children (12-15 years) travel at half price.
Harbour Bus
The harbour bus runs in both directions from Teglholm in the south to Refshaleøen in the north. These boats are operated by the same carrier as normal buses, and all ticket types are valid. It is a great way to see the city from the water and an efficient way to get from Nyhavn to Reffen in the summer. Since 2020, all harbour buses have run on green electricity.
Bike and Electric Scooter
It's super easy to rent a bike from a local bike shop, pick up a Donkey rental bike on the street, or rent an electric scooter via an app. For more about bike rental and the city's cycling rules, see this bike guide. You can take a bike on the metro, but not during commuter hours (Mondays to Fridays, 7:00-9:00 and 15:30-17:30), and also on a regional train. For both, you must buy a ticket for yourself and your bike!

(2025·浙江六校联考)Brave, crazy or both—that's what my family and friends thought when I announced I would begin a search for a new place to call home. But after a lifetime of doing what I thought others expected of me, I needed neither their permission nor their blessings.
So on September 14, 2015, I literally drove out of my old life and into my new one, without a clue as to what that life would look like when I found it.
My only travelling companion was my dog Bella. With six months of reservations in various places, the two of us hit the road.Driving out of the tiny town in South Dakota where I'd been living was the most frightening moment of my life for many reasons.I was terrified of being alone.I hated driving.I'm directionally challenged.
On the road, every girlpower song ever written played on the radio, one after another.Cher told me to “believe in life after love”. Beyoncé reminded me that girls “run the world”, and Rachel Platten sang her “fight song”. All the songs one would want to hear when some courage was needed came on.
For the next ten months, Bella and I checked out possible new places to live.We investigated towns we knew and places we'd never been.My journey was filled with unexpected ups and downs, often leaving me agreeing with those who had thought I was crazy to do it.
My journey covered thousands of miles, twentytwo different beds, and a host of lifechanging events over the course of ten months.Today, I'm no longer travelling or terrified. My final destination turned out to be Palm Springs, California, a unique village that spoke to my heart and that I'm thankful to call home every day.
During my travels, one of my daughters made me a gift that said, “Home is where my mom is.” And as I look at it today, I realize that finding a home wasn't nearly as important as finding myself.

(2025·福州质检)Under the gaze of the world's media, the city of Venice launched a pilot program Thursday to charge daytrippers a 5euro (around $5.35) entry fee that authorities hope will discourage visitors from arriving on peak days and make the city more livable for its dwindling residents.
“We need to find a new balance between the tourists and residents,” said Simone Venturini, the city's top tourism official.“Venice is strained when the number of daytrippers reaches 30,000 to 40,000.On peak days, local police set up oneway traffic for pedestrians to keep the crowds moving. We need to safeguard the spaces of the residents, of course, and we need to discourage the arrival of daytrippers on some particular days.”
Not all residents, however, are persuaded of the efficacy of the new system in dissuading mass tourism.Hundreds of Venetians protested against the program, marching festively though the city's main bus terminal behind banners reading “No to Tickets, Yes to Services and Housing.”
Residents opposing the daytripper tax insist that the solution to Venice's woes are to boost the resident population and the services they need, limiting shortterm rentals to make available more housing and attract families back from the mainland.
Last year, Venice passed a telling milestone when the number of tourist beds exceeded for the first time the number of official residents, which is now below 50,000 in the historic center with its picturesque canals.Neighboring apartments in many residential buildings near the famed Rialto Bridge once inhabited by families are now shortterm apartment rentals.
Elena Gastaldello, president of Arci (Italian recreational and cultural association) of Veneto, said that the entrance fee will get nowhere.“The ticket will not impose limits on tourist access to Venice as no maximum number of visitors has been established, but it will further transform the city into an amusement park,” she told CNN by phone.
Venturini, the tourist official, said that interest in Venice's pilot program has been keen from other places suffering from mass tourism, including other Italian art cities, and municipalities abroad such as Barcelona, Spain, and Amsterdam.
8.What did Simone Venturini try to stress in paragraph 2?( )
A.The poor living conditions in Venice.
B.The terrible traffic conditions in Venice.
C.The necessity of limiting visitors to Venice.
D.The popularity of tourist attractions in Venice.
9.What can we learn from paragraph 5?( )
A.The residents in Venice are losing.
B.Daytrippers to Venice are declining.
C.Residential buildings are increasing in Venice.
D.The apartments for rent are decreasing in Venice.
10.What was Elena Gastaldello's attitude towards the entrance fee?( )
A.Negative. B.Confused.
C.Supportive. D.Ambiguous.
再结合“the entrance fee will get nowhere”可知,他对这一新政策持否定态度。
11.What would be the most suitable title for the text?( )
A.Overtourism Has Negative Effects on Venice
B.A 5Euro Fee Prevents Visitors Entering Venice
C.Venice's Pilot Program Attracted Media Attention
D.Venice Begins Charging Entry Fee for Daytrippers
