Something dirty can cause redness and it will make you feel uncomfortable. It is bad for your eyes, too. If this happens, the best way is to clean your eyes by using cold water. Good news for primary and middle school students: You may get more holidays! This year, for the first time, the Government Work Report mentions a new policy (政策)—“spring and autumn holidays for primary and middle school students.” It encourages schools to offer these breaks based on their needs.
“Spring and autumn holidays will give students more time to rest during the term and more time to enjoy our beautiful country,” Gao Jinfeng, a headmaster of a school in Jiangsu province, told China Education Daily.
To help make the break successful, other ways may also be introduced. For example, parents may enjoy more paid leave so they can spend time with their children during these holidays. Places such as museums and science centers may also open to students for free, letting them take part in more social and educational activities.
Some places have already started piloting the policy. In 2025, students in Zhejiang province began enjoying spring and autumn breaks. Later, several cities in Jiangsu, Sichuan, Guangdong and Hubei also introduced the policy. Most areas schedule the spring break around Tomb Sweeping Day and the autumn break in November, usually close to a weekend.
