Jack Phillips, a worker on the Titanic (泰坦尼克), wrote a postcard in 1912. It could sell for $15,000 in the USA. He wrote the card to his sister when the Titanic stopped in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
He wrote, “Very busy working late. Hope to leave Belfast at six this Monday and arrive in Southampton seventy-two hours later. Hope you are OK.” His message ended with the words, “Love, Jack.”
The card is one of the many things from the wreck (残骸) of the Titanic. Most of the things made people sad but this postcard showed the happy life of the people on the ship.
The Titanic was a British ship built in 1912. The workers said they tried their best to make the ship strong. The ship began its first work from Southampton to New York on April the 10th, 1912. To their surprise, it sank in the North Atlantic Ocean only five days later because of an iceberg (冰山). At that time, about 2,223 people were on it but they couldn’t arrive in New York.
Sadly, more than 1, 500 died because of the iceberg. The story of the Titanic was made into a movie in 1997. People were all sad about the story of the ship.

Professor Peng Huisheng and his team at Fudan University have made a new kind of cloth. We can use it as a digital (电子的) screen (屏幕). They spent 12 years trying to make “digital cloth”.

Jack Phillips, a worker on the Titanic (泰坦尼克), wrote a postcard in 1912. It could sell for $15,000 in the USA. He wrote the card to his sister when the Titanic stopped in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
