- 构成形容词：名词 + -al，表 “与…… 有关、具有…… 属性”
nation（国家）→ national；culture（文化）→ cultural；nature → natural
- 构成名词：部分动词 + -al，表动作、行为、结果
arrive（到达）→ arrival；refuse（拒绝）→ refusal；survive → survival
- 常用引导词
when（可接延续 / 短暂动词）、while（只接延续性动词，从句多用进行时）、as、before、after、until、as soon as（一…… 就）。
- 时态总原则：主将从现
主句将来时，从句用一般现在时表将来。
例句：I will tell you the truth as soon as I meet him.
- We visited the _______(culture) museum last week.（词形转换）
- She _______(send) me a message when she _______(arrive) in Shanghai tomorrow.
答案：1. cultural 2. will send; arrives
动词通过词尾变化后加 -tion，变为抽象名词，表动作、状态、结果：
- 以 -te 结尾：去 e + tion：create→creation；educate→education

- 以 -t 结尾：直接加 tion：act→action；direct→direction
- 以 -mit 结尾：mit → t改为ss再加ion：permit→permission
例：His decision changed our plan.（decide→decision）
语法 2：if 引导条件状语从句（三大时态：从句一律一般现在时）
- 主将从现：主句一般将来时 + if 一般现在时
If it is sunny, we will go camping.
- 主祈从现：主句祈使句 + if 一般现在时
If you meet her, give her this notebook.
- 主情从现：主句含情态动词（can/must/should/may）+ if 一般现在时
If you feel tired, you can take a break。
⚠️ 易混区分：if 表 “是否” 引导宾语从句，不遵循以上时态规则。
- The (invent) of the phone changed people’s life greatly.
- If you _______(not hurry), you _______(miss) the early bus.（主将从现）
- If you see Tom, _______(ask) him to come to my office.（主祈从现）
答案：1. invention 2. don’t hurry; will miss 3. ask
两个及以上单词直接组合生成新词，常见分类：
- 名词 + 名词：classroom、sunflower、website、policeman
- 形容词 + 名词：blackboard、supermarket
- 动名词 + 名词：swimming pool、reading room
- 介词 / 副词 + 名词：inside、outside
- 规则变化
① 直接加 -er/-est：fast→faster→fastest
② 以 e 结尾加 -r/-st：late→later→latest
③ 辅音 + y 结尾：变 y 为 i 加 - er/-est：early→earlier→earliest
