“It’s about impulse-buying (即兴购买),” says Adi Chitayat, Conceptic’s CEO. “If a person starts looking at pictures of chocolate cake, it means he or she wants it. The e-menu helps us to make more money.24D” “People often call ahead to order seats with screens,” a manager of a restaurant in Tel Aviv with the system tells reporters.
At one of the e-menu tables, an IT worker and his family are looking at the photos of the dishes. They feel interested and excited to make a decision on the screen. “It’s more visual (直观的),” says the worker, as his children could have their own choices and they order more food when looking at the photos. “We can still choose, we can still argue — but it’s much easier and interesting when we can all see it.”25

Should schools have a plant-based meal day? A plant-based meal has no animal products (产品), like meat, eggs or honey.27 Some say it’s good for us, but others don’t think so.
Many schools are giving more plant-based choices. On Fridays, New York City schools have a plant-based meal as the main choice. Schools in Austin, Texas, give at least one dish only made with vegetables every day. A study shows that about 5% of people in the US are vegetarians, and more people are choosing to eat less meat.
Experts say plant-based food is healthier for both people and the world. If we eat less meat, the air will be much fresher and we are less likely to get sick. It’s easier to adjust (适应) to eating more plant-based food when you’re younger, and schools are a great place to start. Also, children may change their parents’ eating and shopping ways too.29 And it isn’t hard to change fried chicken into vegetable pies once a week.
However, a plant-based meal doesn’t mean it’s nutritious (有营养的) or tasty, and some studies show that a vegetarian meal isn’t great for growing kids. Schools could give more grains (谷物), fruit and vegetables, but they could also use meat from modern farms. These products are more friendly to the world. Everyone should get to choose whether or not they want to eat meat. Students should have their personal choices.
( A )27.What is special about a plant-based meal according to the text?

B.let the water become much cleaner
C.change the eating ways of parents
