How do people say hello in English-speaking countries? Well, they usually say “Hi” or “Hello” to each other. Sometimes they also say “How are you?” The answer can be “I’m fine.” “Very good. Thank you.” or “Not bad, thanks.” But do you know there are different (不同的) ways to greet friends in different English-speaking countries? Here are two of them .26
In America,23 people usually say “What’s up?” to their friends. And boys often say “Hey, man.” What about girls? Yes, you are right. They often say “Hey, girl. ”24

Dogs are our friends. With them, we will be happy. However, dogs can help us more than that. They can help kids with their reading.
Some scientists do an experiment (实验) with some dogs and 17 kids in Grade 1 to 3. They first want to know about their reading abilities. They ask them to read some difficult books. Every kid reads well. After they finish reading, scientists ask them, “Do you want to read more or just stop here?”
