He founded ZXMOTO, a Chinese motorcycle brand that made history in 2026 by winning two straight races at the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) in Portugal. His journey is a true underdog story. Born in 1987 in a poor mountain village in Hunan Province, Zhang dropped out of school at 14 and worked as a repair shop apprentice (学徒). He learned engines by taking them apart with his own hands. At 19, eager to prove himself, he chased a TV crew’s car for over 100 kilometers through pouring rain on a broken motorcycle. The crew laughed at him, but his courage earned him a spot on TV. That led to a job as a rider and mechanic. Realizing he started racing too late to become a champion rider, Zhang changed his goal, “If I cannot ride the fastest bike, I will build one.” In 2013, he arrived in Chongqing with only 20,000 yuan (about 2,900 USD), bought parts, and built his first bike. In 2017 he co‑founded Kove Moto, which grew into a major brand. But in 2024, after parting ways with Kove, he started ZXMOTO — his own company, named after his name. Zhang’s years of devotion to motorcycle engineering has finally borne fruit. In March 2026, French rider Valentin Debise rode the ZXMOTO 820RR‑RS to two straight wins at WSBK, beating Ducati and Yamaha by nearly four seconds — the first ever race wins for a Chinese manufacturer. Watching from the sidelines, Zhang was moved to tears. Today, ZXMOTO is valued at over one billion yuan. Zhang once said, “The world had no impression of Chinese motorcycles. Now they will remember us.” His story — from a motorcycle apprentice to a pioneer of Chinese motorsports — proves that passion and persistence can move mountains. 24. Why is Zhang’s childhood experience mentioned in paragraph 2? A. To explain the origin of his career. B. To highlight his poor life in childhood. C. To show his early interest in engines. D. To stress his disadvantage in education. 25. What was Zhang’s original goal? A. To set up a top motorbike brand. B. To build the fastest motorbike. C. To work as a motorbike apprentice. D. To become a top motorbike rider. 26. What’s Paragraph 4 mainly about? A. Zhang’s devotion to his career. B. The reward for Zhang’s efforts. C. The performance of the motorbike. D. Valentin’s performance in the race. 27. Which of the following is true of Zhang’s story? A. When in Rome, do as Romans do. B. It’s better to be safe than sorry. C. Where there’s a will, there’s a way. D. A friend in need is a friend indeed. A 25. D 26. B 27. 根据第二段“Born in 1987 in a poor mountain village in Hunan Province, Zhang dropped out of school at 14 and worked as a repair shop apprentice (学徒). He learned engines by taking them apart with his own hands. (张雪1987年出生于湖南一个贫穷的山村,14岁辍学,在一家修理店当学徒。他亲手拆开发动机来学习)”以及第三段中他因意识到自己开始赛车太晚而改变目标,最终创办摩托车品牌可知,第二段讲述了张雪早年辍学、当学徒、学习发动机并获得车手工作的经历,旨在解释他职业的起源。 【25题详解】 细节理解题。根据第三段“Realizing he started racing too late to become a champion rider, Zhang changed his goal, “If I cannot ride the fastest bike, I will build one.” (张雪意识到自己开始赛车的时间太晚,已无法成为冠军车手,于是改变了目标:“既然我不能骑上最快的摩托车,那我就造一辆出来。”)”可知,他最初的目标是成为顶级摩托车手。 【26题详解】 主旨大意题。根据第四段“Zhang’s years of devotion to motorcycle engineering has finally borne fruit. (张雪多年来对摩托车工程的投入终于有了回报。2026年3月,法国车手瓦伦丁·德比斯驾驶ZXMOTO 820RR-RS在世界超级摩托车锦标赛(WSBK)上连续赢得两场比赛,以近四秒的优势击败杜卡迪和雅马哈,这是中国制造商首次赢得比赛。在场边观看的张雪感动得热泪盈眶)”可知,第四段主要讲了张雪努力的回报。 【27题详解】 推理判断题。通读全文,尤其根据最后一段“His story — from a motorcycle apprentice to a pioneer of Chinese motorsports — proves that passion and persistence can move mountains. (他的故事——从摩托车学徒到中国摩托车运动的先驱——证明了激情和坚持可以撼动大山)”可知,文章讲述张雪从贫困学徒成长为中国摩托行业领军人物的经历,体现了“有志者事竟成”的道理。A. C A team led by University of Maryland(UMD) computer scientists has invented a camera called the Artificial Microsaccade-Enhanced Event Camera(AMI-EV), which improves how robots see and react to the world around them. “Event cameras are a relatively new technology better at tracking moving objects than traditional cameras, but today’s event cameras struggle to catch sharp images when there’s a lot of movement included,” said the paper’s lead author He Botao. Tracking moving objects is a big problem because robots and many other technologies — such as self-driving cars — depend on accurate(精确的) and timely images to react correctly to a changing environment. So, researchers asked themselves: How do humans and animals make sure their vision(视野) stays focused on a moving object? For He’s team, the answer was microsaccades, small and quick eye movements that happen when a person tries to focus their view. Through these minute yet continuous movements, the human eyes can keep focusing on an object and its visual textures — such as color, depth and shadow— accurately over time. Just like how human eyes need those tiny movements to stay focused, the camera uses a similar method to get clear and accurate images without movement-caused cloudiness. According to Aloimonos, a professor of computer science at UMD, human eyes take pictures of the world around us and those pictures are sent to the brain, where the images are processed. Perception (感知) happens through that process and that’s how people understand the world. When researchers are working with robots, they replace the eyes with a camera and the brain with a computer. Better cameras mean better perception and reactions for robots. The researchers believe that their invention could have important applications beyond robotics. People working in industries that depend on accurate image recording or shape detection of moving targets are continually looking for ways to improve their cameras, and the AMI-EV could be the key solution to many of the problems they face. With its unique characters, the AMI-EV is supposed to take center stage in the field of smart wearable technology. 28. What is the AMI-EV designed for? A. Making taking pictures easier. B. Taking over traditional cameras. C. Following moving objects better. D. Taking photos more continuously. 29. Why does the author compare humans and robots? A. To introduce the progress of technology. B. To display the advantage of human eyes. C. To prove the limitation of present robots. D. To explain the working method of the AMI-EV. 30. Who might benefit most from the applications of the AMI-EV? A. Famous painters. B. Fitness instructors. C. Professional athletes. D. Movie photographers. 31. What could be a suitable title for the text? A. The working pattern of human eyes. B. The achievement and future of cameras. C. Improved cameras inspired by human eyes. D. Novel applications of advanced technology. C 29. D 30. D 31. 根据第二段中““Event cameras are a relatively new technology better at tracking moving objects than traditional cameras, but today’s event cameras struggle to catch sharp images when there’s a lot of movement included,” said the paper’s lead author He Botao.( 该论文的第一作者何博涛说:“事件相机是一种相对较新的技术,比传统相机更擅长追踪移动物体,但目前的事件相机在包含大量移动元素时难以捕捉清晰的图像。”)”以及第三段中“For He’s team, the answer was microsaccades, small and quick eye movements that happen when a person tries to focus their view. Through these minute yet continuous movements, the human eyes can keep focusing on an object and its visual textures— such as color, depth and shadow— accurately over time.( 对于何博涛的团队来说,答案是微扫视,即当一个人试图聚焦视线时发生的微小且快速的眼球运动。通过这些细微但持续的运动,人类的眼睛能够随着时间的推移准确地聚焦于一个物体及其视觉纹理——比如颜色、深度和阴影。)”可知,AMI-EV是为更好地跟踪移动物体而设计的。 【29题详解】 推理判断题。根据第三段中“Just like how human eyes need those tiny movements to stay focused, the camera uses a similar method to get clear and accurate images without movement-caused cloudiness. According toAloimonos, a professor of computer science at UMD, human eyes take pictures of the world around us and those pictures are sent to the brain, where the images are processed. Perception(感知 ) happens through that process and that’s how people understand the world. When researchers are working with robots, they replace the eyes with a camera and the brain with a computer. 根据最后一段中“People working in industries that depend on accurate image recording or shape detection of moving targets are continually looking for ways to improve their cameras, and the AMI-EV could be the key solution to many of the problems they face.( 在那些依赖精确图像记录或移动目标形状检测的行业中工作的人们一直在寻找改进相机的方法,而 AMI-EV可能是他们面临的一些问题的关键解决方案。)” 根据文章大意以及第三段中“For He’s team, the answer was microsaccades, small and quick eye movements that happen when a person tries to focus their view. Through these minute yet continuous movements, the human eyes can keep focusing on an object and its visual textures— such as color, depth and shadow— accurately over time. Just like how human eyes need those tiny movements to stay focused, the camera uses a similar method to get clear and accurate images without movement-caused cloudiness.( 对于何博涛的团队来说,答案是微扫视,即当一个人试图聚焦视线时发生的微小且快速的眼球运动。 D Beavers are famous for building dams out of trees and branches that they cut with their powerful front teeth. The animals also use grass, stones and mud to make these structures stronger. But why do they do so? Simply put, beavers build dams to stay safe, which is particularly challenging because of their clumsy (笨拙的) body shape and movements. “Beavers are 18 to 36 kilograms of meat with really short legs,” says fisheries biologist Chris Jordan. This makes them easy targets for predators (捕食者). “When beavers are on land, they’re so clumsy, like big chickens walking around that any predator would love to have for a meal,” says another scientist Emily Fairfax. “But when they’re in the water, they’re almost invincible. They’re excellent swimmers and can hold their breath for 10 to 15 minutes. By building a dam, they create a pond(池塘), and that pond is their safety zone.” These ponds are deep enough for beavers to hide from predators such as mountain lions, bears and wolves. Dams can also flood areas to bring them closer to their main food sources, which include bark and leaves from trees and other plants. Although dams protect beavers, they do not live inside them. Instead, they often live in oven-shaped lodges made of sticks, grass and other materials, in families of five on average. Interestingly, beaver dams benefit not only their creators, but many other species as well. “Beaver dams help slow down water and keep it on the landscape longer,” says Fairfax. “This turns simple streams into thriving wetlands. The amount of food and water available there makes them ideal habitats for many different species. That’s one reason why beavers are a keystone species.” Therefore, restoring beavers to their original habitats can help reduce the effects of climate change and benefit their ecosystems. There, their dams slow down the flow of water, and some of it is stored in the ground. This means that plant roots have access to water even during droughts, which helps to keep vegetation lush As such, the dams can bear heat. It is inspiring to see how well beavers are able to survive in a changing climate and do some of the climate change adaptation work that humans have been trying to do. 32. Why do beavers build dams according to the text? A. To get away from heat. B. To practice swimming. C. To make their teeth powerful. D. To escape from being attacked. 33. What does the underlined word “invincible” in Paragraph 3 probably mean? A. Unconquerable. B. Independent. C. Brave. D. Sensitive. 34. What’s the benefit of beavers’ dams? A. Increasing the population of beavers. B. Improving the climate in the region. C. Giving more living places to beavers. D. Supporting the survival of various species. 35. What’s the author’s attitude to beavers’ work? A. Doubtful. B. Favorable. C. Uninterested. D. Unclear. D 33. A 34. D 35. 根据第二段“Simply put, beavers build dams to stay safe, which is particularly challenging because of their clumsy (笨拙的) body shape and movements.(简单来说,河狸建造水坝是为了保障自身安全,但这颇具挑战性,因为它们笨拙的体型和行动方式使其难以应对)”以及第三段“When beavers are on land, they’re so clumsy, like big chickens walking around that any predator would love to have for a meal(当河狸在陆地上时,它们非常笨拙,就像大公鸡四处走动,任何捕食者都会很乐意将其当作一顿美餐)”可知,河狸建造水坝的原因是为了躲避攻击。 故选A。 根据倒数第二段““Beaver dams help slow down water and keep it on the landscape longer,” says Fairfax. “This turns simple streams into thriving wetlands. The amount of food and water available there makes them ideal habitats for many different species. That’s one reason why beavers are a keystone species.”(费尔法克斯说:“河狸修建的水坝能够减缓水流速度,使水流在地表停留更长时间。这样一来,原本普通的溪流就会变成生机勃勃的湿地。那里丰富的食物和水源条件使其成为众多不同物种的理想栖息地。这就是为什么河狸是关键物种之一的原因。”)”可知,河狸修建的水坝有助于多种生物的生存。故选D。 【35题详解】 推理判断题。根据最后一段“Therefore, restoring beavers to their original habitats can help reduce the effects of climate change and benefit their ecosystems. There, their dams slow down the flow of water, and some of it is stored in the ground. This means that plant roots have access to water even during droughts, which helps to keep vegetation lush (植被繁茂). As such, the dams can bear heat. It is inspiring to see how well beavers are able to survive in a changing climate and do some of the climate change adaptation work that humans have been trying to do.(因此,将水獭放回它们原本的栖息地有助于减轻气候变化的影响,并有益于它们所生活的生态系统。 How does the funny bone work? If you hit your elbow (肘部) against a hard surface, you’ll feel a strange, and often uncomfortable feeling. We call the part of the body that experiences this feeling the “funny bone”. ___36___ It is actually a nerve (神经). To understand why this happens, we must first look at how nerves work. Think of nerves as biological wires that carry signals between your body and your brain. For example, if you touch something sticky, your nerves send a message to the brain to tell it about the feeling. ___37___ Then, it sends a signal back to your fingers, telling them to wipe the stuff off. The “funny bone” is specifically the ulnar nerve. It runs from your shoulder down to your hand. At the elbow, this nerve passes through a narrow space against the bottom of your upper arm bone. ___38___ So, when you hit your elbow, you are momentarily pressing this nerve against the bone. This impact sends a painful feeling from your elbow all the way to your little finger. ___39___ Some people believe it is named for the “funny” or strange feeling you experience after the impact. Others think the name comes from a word game — the upper arm bone is called the humerus, which sounds exactly like the word “humorous”. Despite its funny name, hitting your funny bone is actually very painful. It is certainly not something you would want to do on purpose. ___40___ Take a deep breath or lose yourself in a quick joke, and the discomfort will soon pass. A. However, this part is not a bone at all. B. It is not protected by much muscle or fat. C. Most people find the name quite enjoyable. D. The brain processes this information at once. E. The nerve is responsible for controlling your heart rate. F. You might wonder why this part has such an unusual name. G. Luckily, the uncomfortable feeling usually disappears very quickly. A 37. D 38. B 39. F 40. 【36题详解】 前文“We call the part of the body that experiences this feeling the “funny bone”. (我们称身体中经历这种感觉的部位为“滑稽骨”。)”指出人们把这个部位叫做“滑稽骨(funny bone)”。后文“It is actually a nerve. (它实际上是一根神经。)”指出这个部位实际上不是骨头而是神经(nerve)。A选项“However, this part is not a bone at all. (然而,这个部位根本不是骨头。)”在“bone”和“nerve”之间起到了转折和过渡作用,使前后文形成逻辑衔接。 【37题详解】 前文“For example, if you touch something sticky, your nerves send a message to the brain to tell it about the feeling. (例如,如果你碰到黏糊糊的东西,你的神经会向大脑发送信息,告诉它这种感觉。)”说明神经将信息发送给大脑。后文“Then, it sends a signal back to your fingers, telling them to wipe the stuff off. (然后,它向你的手指发回信号,告诉它们把东西擦掉。)”写明大脑在接收信息后会发出指令。D选项“The brain processes this information at once. (大脑立刻处理这些信息。)”填补了“大脑接收信息”和“大脑发出指令”之间的中间环节,使前后形成清晰的逻辑链条。 【38题详解】 前文“At the elbow, this nerve passes through a narrow space against the bottom of your upper arm bone. (在肘部,这根神经穿过一个紧贴上臂骨底部的狭窄空间。)”表明这根神经在肘部的位置非常特殊。B选项“It is not protected by much muscle or fat. (它没有受到很多肌肉或脂肪的保护。)”中的It指代前文中的this nerve,并解释了后文“So, when you hit your elbow, you are momentarily pressing this nerve against the bone. (所以,当你撞到手肘时,你瞬间将这根神经压在了骨头上。)”所描述的撞击会直接压迫到神经的原因,与前后文构成因果关系。 【39题详解】 后文“Some people believe it is named for the “funny” or strange feeling you experience after the impact. Others think the name comes from a word game — the upper arm bone is called the humerus, which sounds exactly like the word “humorous”. (有些人认为它是以撞击后你体验到的“滑稽”或奇怪的感觉命名的。其他人认为这个名字来自一个文字游戏——上臂骨叫做humerus,其发音与“humorous”完全相同。)”解释“funny bone”这个名字的两种可能来源。F选项“You might wonder why this part has such an unusual name. (你可能会想知道为什么这个部位有这样一个不寻常的名字。)”引出后文对名字由来的解释,符合后文逻辑。 【40题详解】 前文“Despite its funny name, hitting your funny bone is actually very painful. (尽管名字很有趣,但撞到滑稽骨实际上非常痛苦。)”表明撞到滑稽骨会带来痛苦。后文“Take a deep breath or lose yourself in a quick joke, and the discomfort will soon pass. (深呼吸或用个笑话分散注意力,这种不适感很快就会过去。)”表明这种不适感很快会消失。G选项“Luckily, the uncomfortable feeling usually disappears very quickly. (幸运的是,这种不舒服的感觉通常很快就会消失。)”与前文形成转折,且其中的“disappears very quickly”与后文的“will soon pass”形成呼应。 A 90-year-old great-grandmother graduated from Southern New Hampshire University recently, fulfilling a lifelong dream after decades of sacrifice. “It’s so ____41____,” Annette Roberge spoke of her ____42____. “It’s like still being in a dream world.” Roberge first ____43____ at New Hampshire College (now SNHU) in 1972. ____44____ to her kids at that time, Roberge ____45____ her studies. “You need to get your ____46____ right,” she explained. “The children came first. D Beavers are famous for building dams out of trees and branches that they cut with their powerful front teeth. This means that plant roots have access to water even during droughts, which helps to keep vegetation lush (植被繁茂). As such, the dams can bear heat. D. Unclear. 第二节(共 5 小题;每小题 2.5 分,满分 12.5 分) 阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项选出填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 How does the funny bone work? 第三部分 语言运用(共三节,满分 35 分) · 第一节(共 15 小题;每小题 1 分,满分 15 分) 阅读下面短文,从每题所给的 A 、B 、C 、D 四个选项中选出最佳选项。 A 90-year-old great-grandmother graduated from Southern New Hampshire University recently, fulfilling a lifelong dream after decades of sacrifice.
