How did you sleep last night? Did you choose your favorite position (姿势) at bedtime like most people? However, once you fall asleep, you may shift into (变换) different positions.
If you wonder whether there is a best way to sleep, you’re not alone. There’s a lot of information online about how to sleep. Many products have also been created to help people sleep in a healthier position.
But in fact, we have much less control over how we sleep than we might think. According to some scientists, we’d better not even try to do that. “Sometimes there’s more harm than good in trying to control your sleep position,” says Haman Mailshot, a medical expert.
Joseph D. Reckoning, a psychologist (心理学家) in Canada, has wondered how people really sleep at night. He created a way to photograph sleep positions without waking up a person. As it turned out, the position people take at the beginning of sleep is not necessarily the one they use through the night. After many studies, Joseph found one thing—once you go to sleep, your body is in charge of its position.
Mailshot agrees. “There are certainly positions that are more comfortable for certain people,” he says. “But it can be hard to train people to avoid certain positions during their sleep.”
Instead of worrying about something that’s hard to control, why not ask yourself how you feel when you wake up? If you’re well-rested and don’t have sleep problems, there’s no need to worry about your sleep positions. So, next time you go to sleep, close your eyes, relax, and let nature take its course.

第一段开头的句子“How did you sleep last night? Did you choose your favorite position...?”
第三段提到“According to some scientists, we’d better not even try to do that.”
倒数第三段中的句子“...once you go to sleep, your body is in charge of its position.”
第二段提到有许多产品旨在帮助人们保持更健康的睡姿,但随后专家指出控制睡姿弊大于利,且结论段建议“If you’re well-rested... there’s no need to worry about your sleep positions.”。
第二段提出“If you wonder whether there is a best way to sleep...”,全文围绕是否存在最佳睡姿以及是否需要控制睡姿展开讨论,最后得出结论无需过度担心。因此“Is there the best sleep position?”

故填over/on。

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
How to protect our environment
Our environment is getting worse because of some bad behaviors. Some people throw litter everywhere in public parks. Others waste lots of water and leave lights on when rooms are empty. Many people still use plastic bags and drive cars for short trips, which brings much pollution. As students, we can do simple things to change this. We should take cloth bags while shopping, walk or ride bikes to go out and sort waste for recycling. We also need to save water and power at home. I truly feel protecting the earth is everyone’s duty. Small green acts add up. If everyone makes an effort, our living world will become clean and beautiful soon.
